SnD is far more of a tactical type of game than FFA though. You gotta tear through **** fast on FFA to cover your 6.



My strategy for FFA, as soon as I kill someone I turn around and get in position since 8 times out of 10 the next one will come at you from behind (depending on where you are on the map of course), then rinse and repeat. Usually win about 85-90% of FFA matches that way, also due to the fact that some of the most horrible players on COD are found in FFA matches (I find a lot of new players usually start with ffa, or players trying to boost which are also just as easy to take down).

Camping: There is a difference between being conservative and moving up slowly, while protecting yourself by cover and camping in a corner with a silent AA-12 in domination 10 miles away from any flag. When I am not fuking around on COD and I am trying to win, I usually use a Tar-21 silenced with claymores and creep around, going like 25-5 or something. However, when I run into a building and get shot from a dark corner that is ridiculous.

Thermal Sniping: Tolerable on snowy maps, but on maps like Wasteland it should be banned.

Predator Missiles: Annoying as fuk. The blast radius on them are ridiculous and since the spawn system sucks in this game, a lot of times you will be spawning right next to someone who is alive and the predator is just going after them, but right before it hits, you spawn and get raped. Happened to me 3 times yesterday.

The spawn system is just retarded in general. Because if it is working for you, it is cheap easy kills, which isn't really fun. Also, when it is working for you for a while, you start running into 5 people with pain killer.



simple 3 step solution to noobtubing:
1) Require 200 kills with extended mags to unlock underbarrel shotgun
2) Require 40 kills with underbarrel shotgun to unlock the grenade launcher
3) Remove tactical insertions


Should just ban noob tubing in general. Maybe just like 2 thumper shots that aren't rechargeable and that is it.

agreed entirely. RPG blast radius needs to be reduced as well. As for the sights, i agree, there should be a noticeable upgrade with RDS and holographic, as I've posted before. RDS is actually a close combat optic, so it should help with short range "aim stickiness", and the holograph should actually provide a slight FOV zoom and assist at longer ranges.

NO scoping is luck. Period.
Quick scoping is talent. Bigtime. Spinning around for a 360 and then no scoping someone is pure luck. Quick scoping someone = ability. It's not just "let's get the dude in the center of our crosshairs and then pray" nor is it "let's spin around and try to time when he'll be on the same screen as ours and then...aw crap, ok, well we f'ed that up let's just try it again 900 times"

moodie swede is a beast at QUICKscoping. Acknowledged. There's a big difference between that and the crap most of the sphincters put up. I actually love watching swede and zgbzgriz or whatever the heck his name is. there's another british dude who is badass at quickscoping as well

oh yeah. Got my first flawless, 30-0 on Wasteland TDM. Used RPD bling grip/FMJ, harrier/pavelow/AC130. Got the damn AC130 before I got a chance to call in the pavelow, kinda annoying, but not so bad. RPD is such a monster on Wasteland.

naturally, I didn't have nuke equipped, but that's ok. Such is life, I'll get one eventually.

Thing I dont get with an EMP is why does it not show you on screen if you have anymore flash/stun grenades or semtex etc left. Pretty sure an EMP doesnt stop you from looking down at your tac belt and seeing if you have a grenade left on it.

Ah he's at 3.5, I always wondered where he stood k/d wise. My point mainly is that any player that enters a league or plays in tourneys is fully aware of what they're doing. That's the only thing I see from him (which is good) and well... that's how everyone should be playing. Guess on older games I'm used to not pubbing and only playing with people that are on top levels... most people that made videos displaying high scores in pubs get no respect - doesn't matter what game (true story)

God damn I hate team games. Rage quit 5 games in a row because my team was too retarded to play with. I'm level 20 so I still don't have stingers. Other team puts up 3 harriers, 2 choppers, 2 pavelows and got a c-130 and not a single one was shot down. I literally hid in a corner the whole game since I don't have cold blodded just to finish 8-3. Next game I get into was domination that put me on a team that was losing 150-40 and spawn trapped. I just spawned and died 4 times in a minute. 3 other games we just kept getting run over and flanked. People are too stupid to watch the flanks and use claymores.

Got my K/D to 1.75 at least and I haven't got any of the guns I really like yet. Once I get claymores, HBAR, and AK I'll get my K/D above 2 easily.

BTW, anybody notice how you rape with a gun forever and all of a sudden it sucks? I started with the FAMAS and destroyed with it. Then in the past few times I can't do anything....getting lots of hit markers when I'd get a one burst kill. I switched to the SCAR and started raping again.

Tubes would have there place in this game if they were used by good players but the thing is you get people walking around with .35 k/ds who are more than happy to just shoot those 2 tubes and die. It didn't stop then in cod4 or 5.

Having said that though I honestly wouldn't of minded if they took the tube out of this game and just left the thumper. At least the thumper requires you to aim down the sights before shooting it so if you walk around the corner you can't just get insta tubed by someone. Also the thumper is much more badass and takes up your secondary so no oma'ing either

Most people stick to their main guns, but it's fun to use new ones and it also makes you a better player overall because it teaches you to play new ways.

Agree. <30 ping has such a great advantage vs 75+. Also yeah, the hit detection on PSN/XBL is great. It's all client, so usually if you hit on your screen a hit marker will show - However the same goes for the opponent. So if on their screen they see you and hit on their screen/knife you on theirs you're gone.

Some funny **** happened today. Joined a game of search and destroy and saw that mostly everyone was sniping. I call one of the "good" quickscopers out. He tells me im a joke at sniping. He accepts my 1v1 after 10 mins of arguing with him. 1st match im a little rusty. He has about 3 or 4 kills over me but **** starts getting real. I get a couple of 3 killstreaks going. Im at 1450. He is at 1200. So I try and do 360 quick scope for kill cam. He catches up and ends at 1450-1450(yes I suck at 360). Next game he kills me first. I get a 5 killstreak on him. 4 bars means up to 0-100 ping, 3 bars 101-200, 2 bars 201-300, 1 bar is 301+.
So hell you might have a 4 bar connection with 99 ms ping but gl beating the host or guy with 20



Actually it affects snipers the least, unless you're a quickscoper. Mw2 actually has a great bullet hit detection in that every bullet will hit them if it has time. Only reason why lag is annoying is because of up close battles or when people are shooting back at you with better connections. Their bullets hit you before yours have time to register.

So if you sitting back sniping like you should be then you shouldn't have people shooting back at you for the most part

I really need to buy the map packs... I also feel like I can't play with any other guns. The only guns I play with are: FAMAS, UMP, SPAS. Is it normal to only play with a few or does everybody just use whatever? Honestly I feel like those 3 guns are the only ones necessary for my play style.

i've played with everything from pistols only to ar's to riot shields. of course i only play hc so it's easy to rape with any weapon. nowadays i stick with the ump since it's usually 1 hit to kill and is overall faster than an ar.

the penetration is pretty awesome. however its basically the same kill time as the scar or tar but the AK is at a disadvantage in raise time and at range shots. its pretty fun though, i cant lie about that

Yeah I came from CS and sadly that game isn't in it's prime anymore... and tbh idk much about MLG but I do agree it'd be kind of weird and/or difficult to put MW2 on a competitive level. And I only registered on MLG forums to find out more about the league; I have seen players in game with the MLG* tag that act like they're hot **** though. Hardly have the skill to back up their arrogance either

Play with everything yourself and base your decisions on that. For me, I can't get range for shiit with the TAR since it kicks left and right. The UMP is great for range if I burst fire. Just because someone writes it on the net doesn't mean it's going to work best for you. For instance, one of my favorite classes is UMP w/ rapid fire; most people can't stand it but I love it for smaller maps.

Just try it all and give everything a chance for more than a few games. Certain attachments work great with some guns and others don't.

Anyways, I tried out the AK47, TAR and ACR. Played a few ffa's, won them all around 30-5 every game... got silencers on ak/tar - no time for ACR (bout to get off). I still prefer the UMP>Tar because of it's speed... the AK47 seems to have horrid accuracy to me (Spray a guy in spas range while he stands still and somehow don't get the kill).

ACR with stopping power was my favorite so far today. I can kill pretty well but in close range the whole 4 hit thing isn't too fun. For the most part I didn't have to burst for a ranged shot cause it was so damn accurate... I could just aim and fire four shots and they'd fall. I liked the UMP with stopping power because if someone was running around a corner two hits was all it took. ACR takes too many shots imo but I still like it.

Conclusion: I still like the UMP/Famas. I do well with them anyways... "If it ain't broke don't fix it" I guess most people test new guns cause they're trying to get better/more comfortable. Guess I just felt bored using the same sht so I wanted to try something new (which made me not so comfortable)

Carnival: Major camping so far, not digging it but partially because I'm still becoming familiar with it.
Fuel: Only played it once, but it didn't seem so bad.

Plus if you know choke points/entry points of your area claymore/nosilencer just vacuums kills to you. What are some of the kill streaks you guys roll with and why?

I usually use uav/counter uav/predator for hchq since I'm always on the move running and gunning and die often. Knowing where the enemy is most of the game is a great advantage too.

Recently I've been using predator/harrier/choppergunner since I found myself getting 5-7 killstreaks often. I can usually pull 50+ kills a game. Only downside is accidently killing your teammate with a harrier strike and being that close to a choppergunner.

Plus if you know choke points/entry points of your area claymore/nosilencer just vacuums kills to you. If you're skilled enough you don't have to go out finding people to kill, just let em know where you're at and they'll come to you ;)

I do that when I'm playing with my ahole riot shield class. I'll put on scrambler and an unsilenced raffica. I'll set some C4 by a doorway and just sit there. If nobody comes I'll pop some shots off until they do. This is by far the easiest way to get your c4 challenges done aside from booster hunting.

What are some of the kill streaks you guys roll with and why?

I usually use uav/counter uav/predator for hchq since I'm always on the move running and gunning and die often. Knowing where the enemy is most of the game is a great advantage too.

Recently I've been using predator/harrier/choppergunner since I found myself getting 5-7 killstreaks often. I can usually pull 50+ kills a game. Only downside is accidently killing your teammate with a harrier strike and being that close to a choppergunner.

i rush so i go with UAV, Counter, Predator. its seems to be working atm, been getting 20+ kills for TDM.

Well there's not that much to talk about in this game anymore or anything new to learn. Every subject has been covered, quick vs hard scope, camp vs rush, red dot vs holographic etc. Everyone knows what Wings' personality and game style is like but everyone just keeps watching his vids anyway so that can complain. "Fuel" looks friggin huge like Derail. Gonna take me a while to figure that map out!

"Trailer Park" looks like a small fun map like Scrapyard. Looks like it might be good for my Claymore/C4 OMA class.

"Carnival" is like a visual overload. I think this map will take a while to adjust to.

"Vacant" looks questionably fun, so I guess I gotta it check out with actual players. Looks like it might be fine to stick outside and fire into the building with the FAL though. Dunno. I don't like all the hallways lol

"Strike" looks to be my favorite one of the bunch so far. I love the building layouts. I think its gonna be great for the Claymore/C4 OMA class!

The FAMAS is honestly the best weapon in the game. For search and destroy choosing a sniper rifle is idiotic because if you're last left you basically lose, especially vs 2+ people. The TAR-21 is also amazing, very underrated imo
