No, boosters use tactical insertions to stick together in a remote part of the map and one kills the other repeatedly. They usually do it for challenges (headshots, nukes, etc) and kill death ratio.

I only play HCTDM, HCS&D and the odd domination and normal team deathmatch and can honestly say In the time I've been playing MW2 (since It came out) I can't remember encountering a booster.

last night was playing with eltoro an we had trailer park come up like 3 times in a row on barebones mode. i am really liking that map now that the tubing has died down some. its so awesome for FFA and its pretty fun in TDM barebones cause there is less players than regular TDM so its not a clusterfuk

You're not looking the right way. I know you don't play FFA much so maybe you don't know the best ways to spot them? (just writing this down for others who may not know the best ways to spot boosters)

-When you get put into a match that has already started, ALWAYS ALWAYS spectate and rotate cams for a few seconds and look to see what everyone is carrying and where everyone is. A lot of times you'll catch the boosters in action and a lot of times you'll just see some guys who have tac's equipped. Always remember their names.
-Obviously look for similar clan tags and names, this is usually just a dead give-away.
-Listen for tac insertions and/or use sit-rep (another obvious one).
-Look for skewed scores, like if someone is 23-1 and another guy is 2-20.
-Keep watching the kill-feed and see if any people are repeatedly killing each other. Headshots can be a big giveaway and if you see two of them in a row then it's pretty much obvious.

The first and the last points I just wrote are the most important.

Also, you'll notice that if you play in the afternoon then you'll get way more boosters than if you play at night. Most of the stupid little kiddies are the ones cheating so there are usually less cheaters on at night.

Yea it's been like this for a while. Fortunately I have gotten really good at Salvage and Storm on FFA so I don't mind it. I really don't like Salvage on team games but it's great on FFA. Bailout is growing on me as well.

Also would have to look into a converter that would allow me to use my 360 controller on PS3, since I can't stand using the PS3 one for FPS games.

I like the UMP45 but can't seem to do work at distance.

Might as well start on the LMG's as well after that. Have the AUG finished but not the other ones. M240 will be easy since that thing is beast so I guess I'll do that first.

That was the first Bareboces TDM I've seen go to 7500 points. They usually end with time expiring.

Rundown FFA...
I spawned right at the steps that look right at Domination C point and that lead to the upstairs drugstore overlooking the southern bridge to the right. I ran up there and got a few quick kills, and the dudes came back immediately for revenge kills. They ran into each other first, so I picked them off before they could kill each other.

I claymored the door. The siege was on.

I think all 7 of the FFA opponents were gunning for me to the point they were firing at me, standing side by side, ignoring each other. Solid revenge killing attempts, RPGs, noobtubes, flash/stuns, etc.

I just kept running back and forth between the windows, and I would jump out onto the roofs that are outside overlooking the bridge and pick dudes off, then pick dudes off near C point, then jump back into the window, etc.

You can jump out the window that overlooks C and if you're careful, you land on a small ledge that prevents you from falling all the way down. Dudes don't expect you there, so they'd go up the stairs, stun/flash the claymore, and then while they're looking for me, I'd run up the stairs them with the dual glocks and send them on their merry way.

Was fun, screen was bloody for a good 4-5 minutes straight between all the tubes and RPGs.

28 kills later, I was kicking myself for not having the nuke equipped. Bah.

UMP kicks more with silencer

no it doesn't.

silencer doesn't effect weapon kick, it only affects weaponviewkick.

in other words, the silencer doesn't affect where the bullets hit, it only affects what you see. With a silencer, you don't see as much of the viewkick. It's kinda like using grip on the SPAs. Your shots hit the same place, but your view is less obstructed.

Its easy to hit people across the map with it if you feather it....

Its the gun im best with and use 85% of the time.

Easier to aim/feels more accurate with silencer then with red dot imo.

I've been running shield, at launcher, C4 with scavenger, danger close and ninja recently. I got the anarchist and the 3 killstreaks in 20 secs titles last night.
It's probably the most fun class I have. I don't get great scores (~1.5-2/1), but it's so much more fun.

for FFA i would go scavenger, danger close, and steady aim. with akimbo magnums, semtex and stuns.


akimbo mags becauses they can pull out and do damage fast if an enemy is reloading and stuns/semtex if they start runnning when they see you.

The adrenaline rush I used to get sitting at 24 kills right before my nuke is gone. Played Ground Wars for like 20 minutes today got 2 nukes back to back and turned off the game. Friends barely play so we can't get any S&D sessions going..

Anyone completely burnt out on this game?

The adrenaline rush I used to get sitting at 24 kills right before my nuke is gone. Played Ground Wars for like 20 minutes today got 2 nukes back to back and turned off the game. Friends barely play so we can't get any S&D sessions going..

A few suggestions...

-Use all the classes you have and then make up a bunch of ridiculous classes. I just got done completing all my pistol and machine pistol objectives and it was actually pretty damn fun (I usually play FFA btw). It makes you a much better player as well since you obviously have a better weapon in your hand when you pick up and AR/SMG/LMG.

-Start rushing like a crazy a-hole. I started getting bored and then I decided I would never stay in one spot for more than 2 seconds (I usually never stop moving the whole game anyways) and it just makes it more action packed.

I get bored after like a second of looking at the same thing so maybe your approach could be a bit different (and probably better if you're more patient), but this is just what I have done to make the game continuously enjoyable.


Oh yea, most importantly, I talk shiit to everyone and make sure to be as entertaining as I can.

lulz earlier today on Skidrow I had RPD with extended mags and grip. Sitting at the end of the B hallway I must have gotten a 9 killstreak in 20 seconds just from holding the trigger down. As soon as someone came out I just saw +50, I couldnt stop loling.

my buddy, who is in the military, had his xbox red ring when he came back from overseas about 2-3 years ago. since he had money, and halo 3 JUST came out (literally 3 days before he came home), he didnt feel like waiting to ship it out to get repaired so he just bought a new one.

fastforward to last february, that xbox red ringed on him. again, he didnt want to wait 2-3 weeks, so he just bought a new one.

thats 2 RROD xbox360s he had laying around. i had enough of them all failing, so a month ago i grabbed both of them and just this past weekend got around to getting the supplies and shiit ready to go. sat down today and went at it. got the first one fixed :D

i need to get a few more washers from lowes tomorrow before i can start on the 2nd. i'm probably going to turn around and sell them on ebay for $100 a piece. they work perfectly. ive got the first one running behind me for the past 2 hours without a hitch. the success rate of this fix is like 94% and lasts a LONG ass time. and IF it does fail again, itll probably be due to thermal paste, in which case you can just go in and new paste.

well i mentioned earlier i wanted to get xbox just for mw2 (since i here there's not much ghost lagging). but in the end i just settled for a ps3; just like the console over all a lot more. no individual xbox player stands out to me either... in fact not a lot of people who are supposedly 'good' stand out to me (ex: sandy ravage).

so... maybe i might get xbox for the community to play with a good team but i doubt i want to play competitively in competitions/tourneys on this game so i'm still debating.

i honestly have no clue where you got that from. I have both, and I can guarantee you that lag happens on both. I get lower ping games more often on PS3, but host migration fails more often.

in some ways yes, some ways no. The location of the thumbsticks is irrelevant, it's just a matter of getting used to one or the other. Same with the primary fire/grenade buttons (top/bottom for PS3, bottom/top for X360), it's just a matter of getting used to one or the other.

What I like about the X360 controller -

1) the concave thumbsticks make it easier to sprint without your finger slipping off the thumbstick. I have to reposition my thumbstick on the PS3 after extended sprints becuse the thumbstick is convex and my thumb starts to slip

2) The thumbstick depression is a bit "tighter" so you don't accidentally press in (to sprint or crouch/knife). The PS3 is a lot easier to press, so I tend to sometime crouch accidentally (or knife for the non-tactical layout)

3) Stick/button layout - I like the alternating thumbsticks and I like the trigger-buttons better than the PS3s controller

What I like about the PS3 controller -

1) the sensitivity is a bit higher, naturally, so it is a bit more precise once you get used to it

2) the controller is much easier on the hands over a long period of gameplay because it's much lighter)

3) It stays charged seemingly forever

When I realized I didn't need to die capturing flags in domination because no one gave a $hit, I switched to TDM and went from 1.72 to now 2.04 in about two months....not an easy feat considering I'm about to be a 9th prestige. I feel like I should be closer to 3. :(

dude go on ebay and you can get 2 rechargeable packs with charger cable for like $10 shipped. is a no brainer. i havnt paid for batteries for like 6 months of playing every day

i use the spas sometimes at a range where the shield wont get to. its nice bc the shield blocks your back. and i use the stun/flash grenade to set up the throwing knife when people are camping in rooms.

i actually use the javelin alot too. ive never gotten a multi kill, but i usually get doubles easily. i just randomly shoot it in an area and people walk into it. i barely play ground war tho. its kind of hectic and sometimes the javelin doesnt lock on so ill get lit up if im not in a good spot.

i worked to get my k/d over 1. now idc either. id rather have fun and piss off people then to get all worked up if i do bad in a game when i try 100%
