I'm one of the staunchest defenders/users of SMGs, but on Sub Base, I'm absolutely on ARs. I always end up sucking with SMGs on that map. Too many mid-range/longer-range shots

I'm all over my beloved MP5K on most of the maps, but Sub Base is one of the few maps that I simply will not SMG on.

I was playing TDM the other day with a buncha my buds and we got into a lobby with some no retarded people and one of them wanted to finish his gun masteries so he was running mp5k akog. I told him i would match it cause it was a stupid setup then my other buddy nate who always runs dumbass classes with me matched him, all in all it ended up turning into a stupid class lobby.

Most fun i ever had in mw2. we ended up making rules you can only use riot shields and secondary weapons. Fuking hilarious 6 on 6 riot shields, occasionally someone would drop out and we'd get some new person in there not following the rules, so we'd just gangbang riot shield them into quitting.

like i mentioned me and my buddy nate always run stupid classes and see who gets more kills like non stopping power vector thermal or bling AKOG/silenced non stopping power EBRS with silenced shotguns as backups no knife kills allowed only throwing knives. it makes the game alot more fun, i recommend it to anyone willing.

Put it over the entrance from C flag on Wasteland, and their spawn was the little drop down going into the trenchs. So just ****ed them up. I went from 20-40 kills within a mattter of 2 mins. My pavelow and hairrer were just ****ing them up so hard.

interesting how different playstyles can be

see one thing people dont realize on that map, is that there are a bunch of different ways to go. subbase is one of my favorite maps because if you play smart on that map, you can excel easily.

knowing the spawning helps to. since they only use half of the map, theres only 3-4 spawning areas, and all are in close proximity of you no matter where you are on the map.

for the long-range shots that occur near the subs and the water, you can easily run around and take the high-ground with an SMG. this is actually better then going head-on because when you flank them, youre coming from up high, and they never see you until the killcam.

You obviously never played waw. I don't know why everyone is trying to tell Treyarch what to do. Waw was NOTHING like cod4. RPD dom. Got C and B retardedly fast, and I just started unleashing.
5/7/11. Nobody was taking my air support down. After 50 ran around with spas, but died at 60 because I had to reload spas and RPD.

nope Mw2 is my first FPS online. so thats good news that this isnt a trend for every game. i cannot fathom how IW can make MULTIPLE new game modes and NOT include a no-tubing / no explosive mode. its easy the biggest flaw in the game atm

yea i quit about 1/4 of the way through that first match. Playing domination for 3 minutes was enough for me to remember why i switched to FFA. I'd rather get shot or stabbed in the back than noob tubed 50 fukcing times a match.

most maps can be played different ways. I think one of the huge differences is that I play FFA almost exclusively, so the spawning is completely different. You spawn all over the place. Based on where I spawn, I'll "set up shop" in the closest "shop area", get a few kills, make my way to the next "shop area", get a few kills, etc. and keep moving that way. It almost always involves me being on the high ground and taking out foo's on the walkway outside of the server room, or on the walkway overlooking B, or those trying to get into the warehouse near C.

Always long range. I almost never fight CQB on that map. I avoid that whole B-area low ground because it's a death trap and I rarely stick around in that little tunnel that leads from the Alpha spawn to the B low ground. I also spend very little time in the fenced area underneath the server room unless it's to get FMJ penetration kills through the fencing.

Yet on Skidrow and Afghan, 2 maps that usually see a lot of AR use, I stick to the CQB areas and avoid the open areas because I love using the MP5K there.

That's one of the things about this game that is ENTIRELY underrated. Yeah, commando sucks, tubing/RPG sucks, painkiller sucks, but the variety of weapons/perks/attachments and their combined capabiltiies makes it possible to use entirely different playstyles on each of the maps. It's an entirely different game. Even going from a thermal M21 on Underpass to an ACOG M21 on Quarry makes it an entirely different playstyle and game despite using the exact same weapon.

There are 4 things that need to be fixed with MW2 and it would be the best FPS ever

1) Commando
2) Deathstreaks
3) Explosives
4) Bullet penetration

What is so frustrating is that those 4 are SO GODDAMNED EASY TO FIX...

what are you running for your secondary brah?

thats my main class for TDM except i use ninja instead of steady aim. if your secondary isnt something like the spas or a hipfiring weapon you should try ninja. with all the sound whoring its a great advantage

Going through and unlocking everything on all my handguns and machine pistols. Have all the handguns finished and working on the machine pistols.

The DEagle was absolutely horrendous to unlock everything on, so frustrating to get kills with it. Fortunately you only need 100 kills with it to unlock shiit.

It really makes the game more fun and makes all the other primary weapons seem so easy to use. I'm using the G18's right now and obviously it's not bad (been finishing top 3 easily in every FFA game), but I switched to the P90 in the middle of a game and it just raped, seemed like it had absolutely no recoil since the G18 kick like none other.

if you have no kevlar on, a pistol can kill you in like 3 shots. with kevlar, it takes like 6-8 shots. (unless headshots)

sub machines rape assault rifles close quarters, but long range, you might as well throw rocks at an enemy who has an assault rifle.

and the AWP(sniper rifle) actually kills in ONE SHOT to the body. hit an arm and or a leg, and the person is left with 15 health.

Respawn needs to take a look at this classic game before making their next

I'm one of the staunchest defenders/users of SMGs, but on Sub Base, I'm absolutely on ARs. I always end up sucking with SMGs on that map. Too many mid-range/longer-range shots

I'm all over my beloved MP5K on most of the maps, but Sub Base is one of the few maps that I simply will not SMG on.

noobtube OK. that shiit is a little much with danger close. but even then, i dont mind it being in the game. its the fact that you get 2 and can replenish them that annoys me. it goes from being a tertiary weapon, to a primary....which it shouldnt be.

getting rid of explosives = no grenades and having a FPS with no grenades is pretty god damn lame imo

yeah, I never use a silencer with the MP5k. I go xmags, always. If you don't have xmags, then go with FMJ until you get it. If you don't have FMJ yet, then go with RDS. Do NOT use ACOG or rapid fire unless you're trying to get the challenges done, and then only use them on HC mode so that you don't have to fire more than 1 or 2 shots...ever

I swear my mentality changes with every gun I use. I was using my G18 and Raffica and finished both of those today (in just a few hours, easily) and won half the matches I was in. Then I switched to my P90 to get the 2500 kills and I ran around like a dickhead thinking I could kill anything without even being cautious... fuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! I still finished in 1st or 2nd most of the games but I was getting so f*cking pissed at every single kill. If I would have gotten killed using my Raffica or something I wouldn't have gotten pissed, but I did using a primary.

Trailer park is ok, a bit too campy right now, quite fun Qs'ing on there. I only really play FFA now since I **** around a lot and don't want my team to suffer on my behalf.

In FFA, fuel is far too big. Bailout is good there, as is carnival and storm. Vacant is pretty lame, and strike is far too big for FFA. Overgrown is ok for qs'ing because there's enough cover. Some maps seem to come up all the time atm I would prefer to play a lot more high rise and scrapyard than I do at the moment, seems the new maps are on high circulation atm!

It does look like it doesn't it? In his newest spaz video he's running around just destroying guys but 90% of the time they have no idea he's even there (no silence). Then again most of the time he'll be playing against noobs (no prestige, multiple accounts).

Like the other guys said, he streams live and he's legit. He'll play with some other guys on his team who are pretty good (even though his score is probably 3-5x theirs most of the time) but he'll still get killed a decent amount in some games. Not every game is like the ones he has on his channel, but he's legit.

What do you guys record with?

I have a Dazzle but I bought some component cables at the same time and realized how insane playing in HD is (you can only play in 480 with the Dazzle) so it's pretty much useless now that I can never go back. Quietstorm and AceOfSpades have the low-down on the good recording stuff. Jawnzer just got some of the good stuff too (he's PS3, the other guys are XBOX) so ask those guys.

They also like men though so be careful.

Finally finished all my handguns and machine pistols. Really wasn't that hard and I played ok with them (only playing FFA) but it still feels good. Gotta get the FMJ kills with the FAL now and I'll have everything unlocked on all the AR's and SMG's.... gonna be a bitch though.

Gotta find something entertaining to do after that though. Might just start playing search since I find that the most entertaining (fun to talk to everyone and be strategical in a much more realistic situation).

Same stuff day in and day out. You try to play a "team" game w/ randoms...and it's impossible. I was playing Demolition earlier, and 4 guys on my team were running around getting killed and letting the other team get Harriers/AC130s/Predators. Alright guys, so i was just listening to one of my favourite podcasts, painkiller already. For those of you who don't know, it's a gaming podcast, centred around fpss like cod, and run by several youtube commentators who are famous for there cod gameplay.

So, at about 21:20 minutes into episode 8, one of the hosts, woody's gamertag, started talking about how one of his subscribers messaged him, and asked him if he'd like a code for a beta for a new game (or something along the lines of that). After exchanging a few messages and emails, he found out this person is in fact an insider, someone who has played and seen black ops. Woody said that from this guy's email address, he is definitely in the games industry.

Woody than read off a list of improvements that are all apparently in the game, that this insider has told him about. Please realise, i do not claim this is necessarily true, but after listening to him talk about, i'm pretty sure it is, as i trust woody. This may be fabricated, but i wanted to share it with you guys, the forum people who care about this game, and i'm nearly certain this is real info. This is the podcast by the way, fast forward to about 21:20 mins in and listen to the improvements:

i suggest you guys listen to that part of the podcast, where woody reads of the list of black ops intel, so you will understand the list below better. The info about black ops ends at about 35:00. I know the guys go a bit off topic in that time, but keep listening

this is a list of the new improvements/ features for the game that are mentioned:
1.) you only get two perks in mutliplayer, and this combination of perks determines your third perk.
2.) there is a new armour system, e.g. Cold-blooded and juggernaut are armours you can wear (not much detail given on this).
3.) the famas returns, but is no longer a 3-round burst weapon. Instead it is full-auto.
4.) there is no m4. Instead another new gun mentioned seems like it will take its place, the sig commando.
5.) other new weapons confirmed include the rpk, skorpion and mac11.
6.) there is no commando perk. (:])
7.) the scavenger perk is included, but no longer replenishes equipment.
8.) the one man army perk is also not included.
9.)the highest killstreak reward (at this time in devlelopment) is 15.
10.) there is no emergency airdrop, but there is a care package.
11.) as confirmed before, killstreaks will not stack. For instance, if you get a 5 kills without dying and receive your killstreak reward, the kills you get with that killstreak reward will not count towards your next killsreak (e.g. 7 kill killsteak). You will have to get two more kills, in that instance, by other means to receive your next killstreak.
12.) you can sprint to prone in the current build of the game. Basically this means you can dive straight on your belly after sprinting, instead of having to stop, crouch and than go prone.
13.) the tactical knife is gone, while a new knife is being introduced: The ballistic knife. This is a knife that has a spring that can shoot a blade (in real life, not necessarily in the game).
14.) the claymore is a piece of equipment, and you only get 1 per life.
15.) grenades are not considered equipment, and replenished by scavenger.
16.) the m16 is in the game, and still a powerful weapon. (or as woody puts it, still the ****!)
17.) the psg1 sniper rifle is in the game.
18.) uav, airstrike and 3 types of helicopters are back as killstreaks. The pave low is confirmed as well, and has a feature unique to the game.
19.) the sr-71 plane is also one of the killstreak rewards.

It should replenish Claymores. Of all the things to complain about refilling, claymores shouldnt be one of them. You only get 2, most people dont use them and they are hella easy to stun/run by if your careful. Tubes is still the mystery and if this game is going to be worth anything then it better be fixed.

Hopefully one of the KS is a napalm run. Like an airstrike only more spread out and the fire lasts for 15-20 seconds of so, meaning you cant cross it to the other side of the map.

i shouldve taken a picture of my buddies door before he moved out of his apartment. i would say almost half of the door was non-existent because he raged and punched it so many times (combination of football season and MW2).

hes broken like 3 head sets, 1 controller and im pretty confident he ding up his LCD tv because he threw something at it. theres a dark spot right in the middle of it. when i asked him about it he said he didnt see anything lol.

oh and he broken his laptop. punched it which cracked the screen and is unusable.

2. Ahh shiit. why? That was one of the very few flaws in COD4. Unless stopping power has anymore power to it, this will be retarded. And I do not see how stopping power can have more power.

3. Even though I use the FAMAS sometimes, that sounds incredibly gay, unless the damage is toned down on that gun. I played against a team that had turbo controllers and one was using a FAMAS, where it was still 3 bursts, but it shot a lot faster and it was unstoppable. I cannot imagine now a FAMAS that doesn't have 3 bursts.

4. No comment really. I liked the M4 in COD4 and MW2 until I unlocked every gun.

7. Might be the best idea I have heard yet. I remember in Battlefield: 2 on PS2, there were crates around the map that you would have to supply your ammo and shiit. Thats why I always loved scavenger, except phaggots using it with noob tubes.

13. Sounds like a pretty decent idea, but really...the tac knife wasn't anything special or over powered. It might have been a small upgrade in terms of knifing faster, but I am pretty sure lightweight, marathon, and commando were more important.

14. I don't like this idea. If you don't like claymores, then use sitrep. Claymores are one of the least over powered things in this game and its going to be impossible for snipers to be able to cover themselves while sniping. It may cut down some camping, but there are other ways to cut down camping.

16. Don't know what to think. Is it the ****, meaning COD4 the ****? or MW2 the ****? If it is like MW2, it will be perfect. Extremely balanced gun in MW2. COD4, not so much.

Also, does anyone know if you will be able to fly helicopters in Black Ops? I really hope there are vehicles, like a few different helicopters and some land vehicles. Even tanks aren't as gay as some people think. I think vehicles would be cool as shiit, and depending on what secondaries there are (ie. stingers, RPGs, etc...) they might actually balance out.

first off, theres already a limit as to how many things can be in the air. ever notice "Air space too crowded" pop up when trying to call in a killstreak reward?

it would make it harder to obtain the higher killstreak rewards, and more them more of a reward then freebies.

right now, if you get a predator, youre almost guaranteed a harrier.

once the harrier is up, you dont even have to do anything. you can just hide and wait for it to rack up kills

nice. i need 12 more for fall on the scar. i dont try for headshots, i always go for center mass and let the gun kick up to the head (which the scar suxors at). i looked at my tar stats last night and im about 30 away from 350 headshots on that bad boy

lol yeah i love that gun for picking of snipers. was playing carnival yesterday (TDM) i was hanging out in the second story room right next to the broken roller coaster track...these 3 guys where sniping into that area from the castle second story. i kept ducking into the window and picking them off as they tried to snipe me....they kept coming back and i kept taking em out. feels good man

started using the Tar again heavily

can't decide if I like it better than the FAMAS or not. When my aim is on, the FAMAS is just retardedly powerful. When my aim is off, the Tar works a helluva lot better.

Plus I LOVE the sound of the Tar.

also really started to get into the akimbo Glocks. I don't know that it's the best secondary weapon, but letting loose with both of them at the same time makes this awesomely sexy noise...I kinda get a twitch in my undershorts. It's also headshot city, wow. Gun kicks like a fat woman when you call her the wrong name after mounting her

It's funny how with stopping power and x-mags I almost never get headshots on the Scar. It has slight vertical recoil but it kills too fast. Recently I tried the Scar with a silencer and cold-blooded (so it should take 4 shots, although it seems to take 10). Most kills are headshots, because the vertical recoil gets it up there and the headshot has enough damage multiplier to finish it off. It's almost a good enough reason on its own to use it with that setup (10 headshots in one demo game without trying).
