What type of headset was it? Make sure your output function got set back to system default.

I'mma post hijack here and say I have similar problems. my X3'1s aren't capable of receiving in-game voice if I have my preferences set to "headset only", but it works when I have it set to "both" (headset + speakers). Any idea what's up with my headset?

Also, turtle beach brahs - does anyone ever get a snap-crackle-pop sound when you're not in line of sight to your wireless reciever? I sit probably 5ft away from mine, but i still sometimes get it. I'm not sure if my problem is just that I shorted the wire from my headset to my controller (already broken 4 mics that way) or if it's something internal.

I need to add you. hopefully my skills get better after being killed over and over again. I had a game where I died 25 times and it was the same guy killing me with his knife. he told me I kept respawning right in front of him with my back towards him..wtf? lol

that's what I've been trying to tell EVERYONE. That's all I use now... it's 1 trigger pull for a kill... It's a shotgun/sniperrifle/rifle basically... how can people just not use this as an all around gun lol. Same with Raffica. People these days... shiii. I always score high with em ;/

The only problem I have is I get cocky with it. When I get in the zone it's just burst, next, burst, next. I'm used to just shooting one burst then looking away. So... painkillers/last standers sometimes get me a death.

last night we got ambushed in Ground War.....they finally just pinned us in the building in Highrise and we couldn't move..........then half my team left, it was 3 vs 10.......

I don't play demo anymore because 90% of the time you get put into a match where your team is getting raped. Have just been playing SnD lately, but even on that I get shtty teammates most of the time. So annoying when you get 15+ kills but everyone else on your team goes negative so you still lose the match.

S&D is probably the best example of randoms vs team. The worst is when you have either a camper or a show off quick scoper on your team. The camper will just sit in a corner with everybody on a mic yelling at him as they plant the bomb and the quick scoper will run out and try to jump off something to do a 360 no scope and wind up getting gang banged by the entire other team. Lots of face palms in this game type.

Yeah, have definitely experienced all of these. A lot of times my teammate will actually do a good job getting to the bomb and planting it, but then for some reason they run across the map and camp in the corner of the room while the other team defuses. Other times they'll just sit in a corner from the start and let time run out without planting at all...
