We here at IW are happy to say that we have finally finished working on our next patch. This patch will bring many things to justice, and we will have the full patch notes listed below. We had so much trouble making this due to legal troubles and we were focusing on creating new content such as maps. We are not going to let our game die. Our fellow developers at Treyarch are creating their own Call of Duty game, but nothing will stop us from creating the ultimate modern warfare gaming experience. Move over Battlefield. Step away Medal of Honor. And Halo, you are going down.
This is our most drastic update since the game came out, so be prepared

Assault Rifles
-Changed TAR-21 damage from 40-30 to 35-30
-Reduced TAR-21 range
-Upped TAR-21 recoil
-Fixing the "holographic" glitch on the M16 and FAL
-Increasing SCAR's magazine size to 25, 35 when using EXT MAGS
-Added sway when using silencers for all assault rifles
-Added a slight delay when zooming to make rifles at close range a tad weaker
-Made hip crosshairs wider for same reason above

SubMachine Guns (SMG's)
-MP5K's range increased significantly
-UMP is going to receive a small boost in recoil so the gun isn't so dominant in longer ranges
-Vector is given a slightly new reload animation
-A small graphical glitch involving the Vector is also being fixed
-P90 is receiving its Call of Duty 4 recoil to balance it with other SMG's
-A 5 point damage boost is being given to the Mini-Uzi at all ranges for balance reasons
-SMG users will get a small boost of sprint speed. (Think around 2-3% faster than snipers)
-SMG users also get a small boost to sprinting duration

Light Machine Guns (LMG's)
Disclaimer
We didn't have a lot of time for this patch, so we did not do anything with the LMG's as of now. However, we will be fixing a few glitches involving a few attachments with a certain couple of guns.

Sniper Rifles
-We have removed the effects of Sleight of Hand pro on the Intervention and Barret
-The Barret is now a OHK on legs
-Intervention loses its OHK on stomach
-WA2000 scope cover will now change. i.e. it will frown one game, then smile the next
-EBR has increased recoil between shots now for balance purposes

Riot Shield
-Riot shield will do a better job of protecting the user

Secondary Weapons
-Fixing glitches with the M9
-Fixing akimbo USP's knifing animation
-Bringing back the Gold Desert Eagles for 10th Prestige level 70's
-All Shotguns receive a slight boost in range (Except Models)
-RPG's will fly a tad straighter, AT4's will fly a tad less straight

Deathstreaks
We are either going to scrap the idea of Deathstreaks all together and brink back Juggernaut, or keep all DS and modify them

Perks
-SP Pro will give a slight damage increase
-OMA cannot be used with Grenade Launchers
-Danger Close is taking SP's original Pro effect, extra damage to vehicles. It will also have its original Pro.
-Commando may or may not be taken out of the game
-Ninja is silent footsteps, Ninja Pro is not being seen on HBS
-When using Scrambler, when someone starts to get scrambled, there whole minimap will be 100% scrambled no matter the distance
-If Deathstreaks are removed, then Martyrdom will be placed back into perk 3 so it will balance out Last Stand

That is all the specific things we will be fixing. We will not be tweaking any Killstreaks as of now. We are going to fix a few small glitches here and there with this patch.

Now, this patch has a lot going on, and a memory device with at least 512 MB must be used, or online play will not be allowed

In my opinion, if they did the following, the game would be near perfect, or at least much better...

- Get rid of commando
- Decrease the damage and range of explosives by 50%, Danger Close would make it 25%
- Just like COD4, made noob tubes/any other explosive replace perk 1
- Get rid of painkiller (I would even be open to the return of Juggernaut
- Attempt to fix the spawn system

I am several others on here have prestiged both on xbox and ps3, and we aren't seeing the overall difference.

You are right, but I highly doubt that was that was the case for me.

He also has 2 map packs and from my xbox experience, people who has both map packs are generally better, i mean it makes sense, the casual MW2 player would not pay another $30 for 10 maps.

the perks marathon,lightweight and commando arent actually designed for this type of game.

you can see when you play against someone or even someone on your time who is running and stabbing someone that they skip loads of ingame frames, these perks basically remove ingame frames which means snipering someone with those perks is almost impossible when they are running from side to side......

its a bit difficult to explain but the ingame mechanics of lightweight mixed with marathon are flawed, any one who has a decent level of programming can see that its flawed and actually ruins the game and causes ingame lag also.




overall i like how in mw2 perks turned into "pro" after you used them for a while but generally they always have a few lame perks in every game, but atleast it stops everyone from using hardline or stopping power and gets a good mix of ingame tactics.

I have the X31s and love them, but i don't know what the x11s were like. The X31s can get interference from wireless routers and can pop every few minutes. I have my wireless router about 4 feet away from the transmitter and I still get the popping. At first it was really annoying but now I'm somewhat used to it.

the SAS operator didnt use flashbangs neither but he did shoot the targets multiple times and he was staying behind cover while he was shooting the targets.

Poopattack udefman and the other guys friend join. This is where **** gets real. I shoot this kid like 30 times and nothing happens. I only hit off 1 of 5 shots. He does not miss any along with his friend. Misc crew rages. I get timed out and then my PS3 freeezes after I try and delete that kid off my friends list. Jersey shore is on so wont be on anymore today.

i know what ya mean. it takes some adjustment to pickup the tar or scar after using the acr. that being said, the kill time with the acr is not far off either of those rifles. i picked it back up a bit ago and have over 1k kills with it already. its pretty beast in FFA

Boosters ruin FFA. Everytime I stay in a game long enough to aquire host, 2 noobs show up with the same tag. Then I have to find them from hearing them spawn and rape them. I love owning booster phaggots. Favorite time was on Ambush, I had 27 and 2nd place booster had 26. All of a sudden the countdown for a nuke starts and I manage to get 3 more kills before it detonates. Felt good man.

I know no one plays the storyline for mw2 but i thought it was badass, i still would like to know though if ghost and roach died, was this confirmed by anyone who designed the game? i know its very nerdy trying to find out if there confirmed dead but they were the best characters in the game..........


this is what i have concluded so far:


arguments for them being dead:

-both were shot at point blank
-one was set on fire
-shadow company troops picked them up so they would of known if they were dead
-ghost was already injured

arguments for them being alive:
-they were shot at point blank but they most likely had armor on
-apparantly rumours say that at the start of the mission someone mentions fireproof jackets
-scarecrow and ozone i believe were killed in the defence of the house, but the sniper team wasnt killed, them being a sniper team they would of most likely saw what happened and went to retrieve ghost and roach after they were shot because they knew they wouldnt of been able to take on shadow company.

I went through the game twice once on normal and veteran. Never really thought about the storyline after the game. My guess would be that they are dead.

But I love this ish so much, so accurate and powerful, why I never chose it I dunno. Maybe because it looks like a dolphin having sex with a mouse. But pretty damn cool gun, but my K/D is still dropping and I am not finding any consistancy at all.

I use to think ACR was the best gun in the game, but if you dont have stopping power on it and you have a silencer, you are literally shooting at them for a good 2 seconds straight.

I got the ax180's and I love them, much more than the x11's.

From my research nothing compares to the axPro, you can pinpoint exactly where footsteps are coming from...sound wise the axPro are the best.

I bought a wireless madcatz controller for my PS2 (and I got it cheap) and honestly that thing could handle more throws against a wall than any of the standard controller. It literally took 10-11 throws against a solid wall for it to permanently break.

I know the AX pro's have real surround sound, not too sure about the x41's whether it's real or simulated surround sound. If your not an audiophile then you probably won't be able to tell the difference.

I only had about 6-7 hours of play time on it (MW2 was my first game on the new console) and I don't know the maps for shiit, but it's still really easy. The main thing that pisses me off though is no cold-blooded perk... it's annoying as shiit just having to sit inside whenever a copper is in the air.

Its a godsend of a map if you need FMJ kills. I've gotten 11 in one match of dom with my RPD in one game before but it can also be a game of tubers and if your spawn trapped at A then forget about it.....

With much wrong (and admittedly so much right) and so much publicity about the wrong I cant see how treyarch could screw up black ops......but they are treyarch so....

That F1stdacuffs made a good point about him too. He's got a FIOS connection which means he's host almost 100% of the time. Not only do his bullets get registered at hits quicker, the games don't get interrupted when a host rage quits. Being host is the difference between dumping a clip into someone and not killing them and killing them in 3 bullets. The guy is still this as suk.

It sucks I live out in the middle of nowhere and probably won't be getting FIOS for a year or more. Even my cable connection sucks.

finally figured out the spawning system or there abouts for rust map, pretty crazy once you get to know it.....

in summary, what you do is you go to one of the corners were they are spawning from, kill them then turn around and run slightly away from the corner, turn around and they should of spawned on that side of the corner, kill them then run back to the other side of the corner, turn around and they should of spawned again, they will spawn from there about 4-5 times were you then go to another corner, of course you then look at the map for which side your team doesnt control and go there........

the only problem is if you do this they will activate painkiller and you will die......

yeah the game is gonna be harder when you cant hear it. a word to the wise on the map packs though...the new COD is coming out in a couple months and everyone will be playing that one. so you may want to hold off on spending more money on mw2...just sayin

yea it looks like a killstreak? remote controlled car that explodes. And if you look at the start the guy gets it at 3 kills....dont know how I feel about that. Killstreaks that kill should be earned after 5+ kills (besides care package ones) IMO, its way too easy to get 3.

The things I look forward to the most are:

Did they fix/remove commando?
Fix Tubes? (no more OMA resupply, Danger Close etc)
What will the new killstreaks be? (they said already I believe they wont stack and no game enders)
Guns obviously
How they handle knifing (from the vid it looks to be the same)

I've managed to get my w/l from 0.68 to 0.9 (used to only play snd when not in a party, v hard to win on your own not playing with others even though I managed to maintain 2.1 k/d)..

Only playing dom and sab atm when I'm not in a party. Trying to get it up to 1 and these games seem easiest to win on your own. I'm playing domination games where I go 20-15 and top score over players with 45 kills. Not sure why people don't just play the objective and make the game fun.
