Hey I was wondering whether anybody has ideas on the best form of cardio for lean developed legs, I have just finished my first competition 55kilo, 16%BF 3 weight sessions week and running everyday, yet all that running didnt provide me with legs that were comparable with the other competitors. Now I have cut back the running and started power walking- have noticed a difference but psychologically dont think I am doing as much when it comes to calorie expenditure as runnning. Anybody with fantastic legs- share the secret!!

Just my two cents--
I am a runner, as well as a bodybuilder.... I did not see the detail I wanted until I hit about 12 percent bodyfat. You can't spot reduce; you have to lose enough overall bodyfat to show those gams.
You also may need to add a bit more lean mass, which would require additional strength training, I suspect.

Also, if running is what you enjoy, then do it. Vary it a bit so your body doesn't adapt to that long, slow distance pace--throw in some pick ups, do some intervals, vary your distance, whatever. Part of the reason I love running as much as I do is for the stress release--I just don't get that with walking, no matter how fast!
The only time I cut out my running was four days prior to show time, so my muscles would be fully recovered, full of glycogen, with NO swelling--making them "loose" and better for posing purposes.

Hope this helps!

Yeah I love running, that what keeps my fat down, I don't know it seems to have sculpted my legs the way I like them (I"m a guy with naturally large legs, its made them a lot leaner and more defined), it just takes some time, like any cardio I find, you gotta like what you're doing.
