The games I am interested in playing are Gran Turismo, Jedi Outcast I & II, probably a fps game... and any other racing games that are good - although from the one time I've played the GT5 demo at a friends - I don't imagine there are many racing games better then that. (On my pc I used to play the NFS series)

For anyone who didn't enjoy Red Dead Redemption online you may like the following patch that just got released. There are now 3 different public free roam modes: Normal, Hardcore, and Friendly. Essentially choosing "Friendly" makes it so you cannot kill or be killed by other players in public free roam. I never played public free roam without my posse so I can't speak for myself, but alot of other people had issues with gangs of random players that would just camp and kill anyone who joined (which is obvious a huge turn off for the game).

Anyway its definitely nice to have the option of playing online with others and socializing without having to worry about a bunch of goons ruining the experience...especially if you're trying to get trophies, rank up, or accomplish anything in general.

But, I have started to come across those bugs people have been mentioning with New Vegas. A couple times, just walking around, my game would pause for a quick second, get better...then pause again and freeze up on me. Hasnt happened enough for me to stop playing though, but at least I know what the people who said it meant. Overall though, game is awesome. Made a damn brute character with 9 str and endurance, and only use H2H or melee weapons lol. Funny ass hell choppin people up with a hatchet while they shoot at you.

Vew Vegas is the sh*t can not wait to get more into it i am 6 hours in & have done really nothing but roam around it is awesome, i might restart & be a bad guy i always am a good guy but being bad can be sometimes more fun.

Fallout New Vegas


Sup brahs.. been a while since I've really posted in here simply because I don't really play my ps3 much anymore except 1-2 hours of FIFA most days.

I just got Fallout New Vegas and have mixed thoughts. Firstly it's exactly the same gameplay with a couple new features and a completely different map/story but so far I wish they'd pick up on the new features more. Right now I'm just clearing out Primm and it's the same old.

It is fun though as any Fallout game is. I kinda prepped my character to me good at melee attacks because in Fallout 3 I used the Chinese Sword religiously for a while but I'm finding myself being more effective with guns still - kinda dissapointing.

Any cool features I should know about early on? Eg. Is there a dogmeat running around? Do we get followers early on, I assumed that chick with the dog was one but I don't get any conversation leading that way.

How does the story get? I think it's dumb that you get shot in the head from 1m away, then buried.... and live to tell. And I also don't remember it being this easy to sleep in any bed as you're attacking a town and recover all your life.

Call Of Duty Black Ops: Quickscoping has been Banned

You may remember that a gameplay video leaked last week showing off some sniper action in Call of Duty Black Ops, and seemingly showed the player ‘quickscoping’. However, Treyarch has now confirmed that players will not be able to quickscope in the final version of the game.

That footage was taken from the closed beta of the game, but during a Q&A session on Twitter, Treyarch’s community manger Josh Olin answered some direct questions about whether or not quickscoping will be included in the game.

When simply asked if quickscoping will be possible in Black Ops, Olin replied: ”No. Quickscoping is a cheap way to play. We’re specifically going to gimp Quickscoping, sorry. Play straight-up!”

Today marks the day that the Killzone 3 beta goes public for PlayStation 3 owners. PS3 owners all around the world camped on their PS3's last week to fight for one of the few thousand spots made available. Now while you may not be able to get in just yet, Sony has provided me with the opportunity to bring the Killzone 3 content to you. When I first fired up the beta, the first thing I had to check was if the game featured a party system, unlike its predecessor. Police: PlayStation 3 Brawl Ends With One Man Dead

WICHITA — Wichita police are looking for a 22-year-old man in connection with the city's latest homicide.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Benjamin Redgate, who is suspected of second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Luke German, said Lt. Ken Landwehr, head of the homicide section.

German was found lying in the front yard of a house in the 3900 block of Roseberry late Tuesday night and taken to a local hospital, where he died late Thursday night. While German had no external signs of trauma, Landwehr said, an autopsy revealed he had suffered "severe internal injuries."

The autopsy indicated the injuries were consistent with being kicked, punched and perhaps struck by a pipe, Landwehr said.

Redgate's 26-year-old brother was arrested Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder, Landwehr said, and a 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of helping Redgate escape.

Redgate is suspected of using a purple women's mountain bike for transportation, Landwehr said.

The three men were playing a video football game on PlayStation 3 at the house on Roseberry Tuesday night when a fight broke out over the game, Landwehr said.

An investigation determined German was attacked and beaten both inside the house and out in the front yard, he said.

When authorities arrived, German was not breathing. He was taken to Wesley Medical Center and placed on life support, police said.

Though a moot point now for consumers, in 2004 Sony came out with an ultrathin wedge-shaped laptop that was a progenitor of the MacBook Air, particularly Apple's 2010 incarnation.

At the Apple event this week in San Francisco, Steve Jobs said the new MacBook Air "is the future of notebooks." That's debatable of course but it's clear that PC makers like Sony and Hewlett-Packard already saw that kind of future a long time ago. The problem was that either their timing was off or they didn't execute the designs as well as Apple--or simply that the laptop was too expensive.

Back in 1998, HP released the ultrathin, 3-pound Sojourn made from magnesium. (And more recently the wafer-thin Dell Adamo XPS eclipsed the older Apple Air by using a heavily wedged design.)

But Sony's offering may be one of the best examples of a laptop that pretty much matches Apple's design--except Sony did it six years ago. The nickel carbon body Vaio X505--no longer available--had some very impressive specs for its time. (See 2004 review.)

Like Apple's new Air, the Vaio X505 used an ultralow voltage Intel chip: a Pentium M "ULV" 1.1GHz processor. Game has alot of buttons so a PC is better for that the graphics is huge improvement from PS3. And PC games usually get more patches as all these games are made on a computer.

And the big thing is MODS...lots & lots....& lots....& lots.

I mean on PS3 or pc it is still a great game but bigger RPG style games like this i prefer PC IMO.

Yeah, make sure you KNOW how to do it. It sounds easy, but I messed mine up. I had to replace my original fat PS3 so I used an external harddrive and used the backup utility which is all I thought was needed. Now, there's a backup file on my external HD but my new PS3 says there are no files in it.

Luckily, I took out the 250g HD i had put in my fat PS3 so I still have everything saved on that. Now I just need to get a case for it and hook it up to my new PS3 I guess.

COD - Shoot enemies, arm bomb, watch cut-scene, shoot more people. EVERY game is repetitious, it's stupid to say they aren't. Forza 3 is just driving or drifting.

Sony Australia Hints at GT5’s New December Release Date

On October 6th, Sony launched a giveaway competition for a free Gran Turismo 5: Signature Edition package. Since that time, the competition was set to end on the old Australian release date, November 4th. That end date has remained unchanged (confirmed by Google’s cache) – until now. The legal terms and conditions have just been quitely updated to list a new ending date of December 9th.

I will be first to remind you this is not an official announcement or confirmation of a new release date for Gran Turismo 5. However, it is the first specific new date related to the game which has been found on any Sony website, and December 9th is a Thursday. Australia’s old date, November 4th, is also a Thursday – the day of the week typically reserved for big video game releases Down Under.

Assuming Sony plans to keep the same sequential worldwide release schedule for GT5, we could estimate a December 8th release in Europe/Japan and a December 7th release in North America. Obviously, these dates are also a Wednesday and Tuesday – the same as the original November dates. Furthermore, these dates fall at the tail end of Sony’s internal release date window, provided to me by a trusted source shortly after the delay was announced.

As you may recall, Sony was quick to reassure us the game would arrive “this holiday season” and announced they “expect” to confirm a new date before the end of October. Time is running out, as there are only two week days left in October as of writing – let’s hope the updated terms of this contest are an early indication the veil is about to be lifted.

I still got RDR. Horde mode looks good man real fun but I haven't beaten single player yet. I donno I was hyped at first but it's whatevers now. I'll eventually beat it and get on the DLC.

The PlayStation Phone is Unveiled, Leaked Pictures Surface

Today Engadget.com (linked above) has unveiled what is being called the PlayStation Phone alongside some leaked pictures.

There have been numerous reports of a PSP Phone in development, so in a similar fashion to the PS3 Slim news of a PlayStation Phone comes as little surprise to many.

To quote: "The device is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.

Looking almost identical to the mockup we hit you with this summer, the handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it's still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons.

For Sony buffs, you'll be interested to know that there's no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards.

The particular model in these shots is still in prototyping mode. As such, the unit doesn't have a custom skin (not even SE's Timescape design seen on the Xperia devices), and is said to be rather buggy.

We're digging into more facts as we speak, but it's likely that much of what we reported earlier is still accurate, and though the device could still be headed for a 2010 release, 2011 is looking much more realistic."

Stand Alone Red Dead Redemption DLC Disk on The Way

This week has seen the release of the fourth piece of extra DLC for red Dead Redemption called the Undead nightmare which sees the wild west infected by Zombies and John is the only one left alive to fight them off and find a cure. All these DLC extra's are now available to download from the PSN but they require the Red Dead disk to be playable and you must have online access of course.

That is until now, coming on November the 23rd will be the Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare a stand alone disk full of all the DLC episodes. The new disk will not require you to own the actual game and will include the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, theLiars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date

The Disk will cost you $29.99or €29.99 and is rated M for mature.

I believe so. I had to replace my PS3 and was able to just go ahead and redownload the one DLC for RDR on my new PS3 without a credit card prompt (I have it set to ask me to confirm each purchase). There might be a limit on how many times you can do so though.

Ok, so check it out. I've never played SOCOM before. Games total cheap as dirt. I knew it was an online game only. So a friend sends me his game file with his player so I can jump in the action. So I load his file and I get the message of " this save is from another user, you will not be able to get trophies, do you wish to continue ". I was like sure. So I'm playing this game like the 8 on 8 some package bomb game. Games over and then all these pop up messages of " No trophy earned " or something like that come on the screen. Game was alright I guess, looks low budget. So I made my own guy and went to play to again since this is pretty darn basic 3rd person shooting. Played another game of that package bomb game. Once the game was over I got a trophy. Next thing I see is another trophy pop up, then another and another and another and another. In fact all of them came up. Strong just wow. He said I could get a few, but all of them????


Anyone want the game save file. Just let me know and I'll pass it along.

I'm playing Red Faction Guerrilla's online game now anyway. Pretty fun and is going to take some time to get all these online trophies.

I use two programs. TVersity for basic music, since I like how it organizes the albums (Too lazy to organize 150 GB worth of music)

And for movies I use PS3 Media Server, since I just seemed to have the most luck with it when it came to transcodings
