Hey everyone so maybe someone knows how i can fix this problem.
I recently bought a new Gold Gym Bench Press that is Olympic Size, but all my free weights (500 pounds) fits the standard 1 inch size Barbells. This wouldn't be a problem except the new Bench only fits Olympic size length bars. Does anyone know where i can get an Standard Barbell width Bar (1 inch thing i believe) that is as long as an Olympic Barbell?
Thanks in Advance

So you basically need a 7ft Standard Barbell?
Just google it. They're fairly common in the UK at around £30 so I would have thought you could get one for $30.

Somthing like this.

$55. I thought they would have been cheaper in the US.
It might be worth saving up and gettig a 300lb Olympic set at $300. I'm sure some of the guys on here will be able to point you in the right direction. I think someone mentioned a set at $260.
Hope that helps.

Hello,
I have been in your situation. I had 600lbs standard plates. But Standard in my country it is 32mm holes, not 25,4mm (1 inches).
What i did?; I just Buy a standard bar, 7 feet long, 30mm diameter, i did it with very low expectations. Cost 30 usd, like two years ago, made in china. Is very solid and durable. I have 600lbs (270kg) on it on a daily bases (honestly, looks like it can take even more weight), static load of course. Still Not visible deformation (permanently). It is still perfectly straight unloaded.
If you are on a low budget, buy a 7 feet standard bar; and give it a chance.

they sell a standard bar with 50" grip width (which should fit most olympic rigs)

granted, the sleeves are shorter, but id think you could fit enough standard plates on there.
