About Me

I have been lifting consistently for about 10 years. I have done almost any lifting program that is out there. I am currently doing a 3 day split with 3 weight training days and 3 cardio days a week. Usually that looks like this:

Mon: Back, Traps, and Biceps
Tue: Cardio
Wed: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps
Thur: Cardio
Friday: Legs & Abs
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: Off/Cardio

I just got done logging Creadryl/Glutacene/NOBeta. I liked these products so well that I reordered them. So I am excited to see what this new product will do for me! My goals for this log is to hold on to as much muscle as I can while dropping the fat.

NOTES: Biceps were swole! I really like this workout except for pullups. I will like them more once I get better at them again. There was lots of eye candy at the gym tonight and I liked it :D


SOCCER

90 minutes of outdoor socccer.

We lost 3-2. :( I did get into it with one of their defenders. We went up for a header I won the ball he kicked me 3 or 4 times then when that didn't work grabbed me by the shirt. Cumdumpster was our Ref who of course did not call it. I then have this exchange with the defender who we will call pu$$y.

Me: Come on Jim! (to ref)
Pu$$y: What?
Me: I wanted a foul called for you kicking my legs and grabbing my shirt, Pu$$y!
Pu$$y: Why do I have to be a pu$$y?
Me: Mostly because you can't guard me and need be a pu$$y and foul me after I blow by you.
Pu$$y: Come on man you know how the game is played.
Me: Do it again and your buddies will be picking you up off the ground.
Pu$$y: Don't be mad because I am better than you.
Me: You will not touch the ball the rest of the game.

Not only did I keep that promise. I blew by him 3 or 4 more times and on one of them I scored. Each time on the way back I would pat him on the back and say, "Good D there man" I just wished we could have pulled out the win.

Awesome workout bro!! I love all the red, nothing like hitting PRs on a workout and multiple ones at that.

Hope you can keep up this pace! Betacene and NitroMine are a gold mine in this area.

POWER HOUR

Unlike the more fun version I remember in college this Power Hour consists of doing the maximum amount of pushups in an hour.

I decided to pace myself by starting with sets of 20 and cutting the reps back as needed. Here's how it broke down. Running total will be in red

5 sets @ 20 reps
100 total reps
2 sets @ 15 reps
130 total reps
10 sets @ 12 reps
250 total reps
15 sets @ 10 reps
400 total reps
25 sets @ 5 reps
525 total reps
8 sets @ 3 reps
549 total reps
9 sets of 2 reps
567 total reps

So I took a video and then realized that my count was off on the total.

IN 60 MINUTES I DID 567 PUSH UPS!!!

Do you have other challanges like this? I am thinking of trying a pullup workout like this. The numbers would obvioulsy be way lower.

You can do it with pretty much anything. Try it with 150 pounds on the squat. That would be paaaaiiiiinnnnnfull!

I like it alot. Though its hard to judge how much it helps since it does alot of the same things as my other Double T supps do.

thanks man. I am taking it easy today as I am pretty sore, probably a cardio day. Thursday I am going to do something similar for either back or legs.

WORKOUT


2 mile walk to the park
Played at the park with Eva, Erica and my parents
2 mile walk back to parents house.

The walk was great and there was no chance of a regular workout. I am having some full body soreness from the pushups. Today everything hurts. I took an extra dose of Glutacene today to see if that will help some. I think I have decided that tonight will either be used staining the deck or doing my stretch DVD from P90X depending on the weather. I need the stretch though.

WORKOUT

I had to run some errands afterwork so I knew I wouldn't get in a traditional workout. So So I took back my late library book (I owed 10 cents in late fees :rolleyes:) and got my hair cut and then headed home so I could get to work on something. I decided my goal was to get the plastic jungle off of my driveway. It took a while to come up with a plan. Then I worked for about 2 hours getting this together. So when my little Eva comes back on Sunday she will have this waiting for her.

NUTRITION

I was mostly on my diet today until dinner. I waited too long to eat and ended up eating some leftovers. It wasn't so much that I ate bad, its just that my dinner did not fit into the p90x diet. I am not sure this diet works for me right now. I think I am going back to just tracking my food on livestrong.com on Monday. This weekend will not be perfect on food either. I am playing poker tonight with the FIL and he will be cooking and it will be great. Plus I always have a hard time sticking to a diet when Erica isn't here. Mostly because it stresses me out when she is gone and I stress eat. I am going to try to eat as healthy as I can though.

I hear ya on the diet, my whole week has been like that with my work schedule. I have food at work but no time to eat. One day was ALL protein shakes and yesterday my only meal was at 1:00 AM this morning at Waffle House YUK!! Well, it tasted awesome but YUK on part of the nutritional value :D

No Workouts

I got most of the yardwork related stuff done this weekend. I think I am done with mulching. I trimmed a few trees up. Cleaned all the crap from under my deck. All that is left now to do is the staining.

I put off staining the deck all weekend because EVERY PHUCKING DAY it was forcasted to thunderstorm. We had 10 minutes of rain on Saturday and that was it. So after waiting all weekend I am skipping the gym tonight to get the deck done hopefully.

I hope to be back in the gym by Tuesday night, but that will all depend on how much of the deck I get done tonight.

I did have time to put Eva's porch and landscaping in.

DIET

So i have been either nailing the p90x diet or having a junk food free for all lately. So I decided to switch back to Livestrong.com and just try to hit calorie and macro goals. I think this will be the best option long term. my goal for now is to try to keep carbs down to 30% or lower.

Well it wasn't technically a workout, but I did do about 4 hours of deck staining. I am sore today too. That is alot of work for the shoulders. It looks alot better now though. I have a bout 1-2 hours of work left to do on it. I think that will be on tonight's agenda if the weather allows me to.

WORKOUT

Deck Staining

Finished up the deck last night. Took me about an hour since Erica had already gotten most of what was left done. Now I will just have to wait on another few days of dryness so I can touch up some spots, but it looks pretty good as it is so it will have to do for Eva's party.



Soccer
90 minutes of outdoor soccer.

We lost 4-1

As a team we played like crap. I kept getting stuck at fullback since we were missing all 3 of our normal fullbacks. I played the position well, but the rest of the team was not helping me. Towards the end of the first half some asshat put stomped on my left big toe. It was one of those deals where I didn't want to look at it till the end of the game. I played as good as I could the second half, my toe was really starting to hurt. There was also something inside my shoe that I thought might be my toenail. After the game I took my cleats of and pulled of my sock expecting to see something horrible. Luckily it was just a small rock in my shoe and my toe just has a nice bruise on it. It still hurts like a b*tch though.

Carbs were a little higher than normal today but mostly because I had some ww pasta before soccer. Still hit my calorie goal so I am happy

Glad to see you liked the Betacene as a pre workout drink to your soccer match, but that sucks about your toe. I hate playing out of position, I usually play CM or RM but I get stuck in CF or CB whenever we have an injury or shortage because I can play all of them.

This is almost exactly what happens to me. Except I play a little striker too.

Also I think the betacene made my bruise heal faster. its almost gone now. (I know it really wasn't the betacene)

I am not sure if this is a PR or not. I think this was the weight I was using at the end of 5X5 training. Either way I was super pumped to get it up. I have decided to make a list of all my PBs to keep so that from now on I will know if I have beat them. I am starting with this weeks lifts. I am not going to use set exercises anymore and switch them up more often. With this list I will be able to keep up with PRs still.

IDIOTS

Well I went to the branch of my gym by my parents today which is the no frills version. The offer memberships to this club only for $15/month. So it attracts all the weirdos.

The first thing I notice today was the group of 4 or 5 highschoolers. They were all wearing wifebeaters. I think that is fine. I wear shirts with the sleeves cut off. The thing that drove me nuts is these idiots had wifebeaters, shorts and a knitted skull cap. I want to find out who made this look cool so I can kick them in the face. These idiots were also annoying because they thought they were gangster. I heard "yo man", "you better check yourself", and "step off fool" Making them even funnier was that they were wearing their basketball t-shirts from a privat school that is the farthest thing from ghetto. Being the super ass that I am I said this when I walked away, "Villa Modona Pirvate Academy for Life Yo!" None of them even stepped to me. :)

The funniest part of all was when Mullet Man came over. Mullet Man is a great guy and I talk to him all the time. He just has an awesome mullet. I am talking hair to the middle of his back and pretty short on top. So he comes over and says:

"That was hilarious man. Those kids drive me nuts. Its like they don't realize how rediculous they look"

This was the cap on my awesome workout. I am still laughing about it.

Friday

Erica was in a wedding this weekend and had the rehersal dinner friday night. As a result I had Eva. We went out to eat with my parents. They decided on pizza. This is where my nutrition went out the window for the weekend. Eva and I got home and she had a little fever so I gave her some medicine and put her in bed. Erica got home around 10:30. My buddy had been buggin me all night to meet him and his friends out. I knew they were going out and would more than likely be hitting a strip club. Here is how that conversation went with Erica.

Me: Matt wants me to go out, but I am not sure if I want to go because I would have to drive 30 minutes to get there. And they are probably just going to a stip club.

Erica: Well he's a good freind and always comes up here when you ask him. Plus you like to look at boobies.

Me: I think I have the only wife on Earth who talks their husband into going to a strip club.

Erica: I am pretty awesome.

Me: That is true.


So that was friday night. Oddly enough this ended up being the boring night.


Saturday

So my Saturday started early when Eva got us up around 6am. This was a little less than awesome since I went to bed at 2am. Well I took Erica up to the country club where the wedding was happening and dropped her off. Erica's mom met us there to pick up Eva and give me a quick lesson on using the tripod. I may have forgot to mention that I got volunteered to video the wedding. So I had from 10:30am till 4:30 to just chill. I went home and took a much needed nap.

I got to the wedding around 4:30 (it started at 5:30) The wedding went smooth besides the rediculous heat and the fact that the ceremony was outside. So I pack up the camera and put it back in the car and head to the bar. I was driving so I only had a few. Erica on the other hand was drinking, so I knew I would have an entertaining night.

So about an hour into the reception Erica comes walking up to me with the "sexy" look on her face. She hugs me and puts her hand in my pocket for a second and then walks away. I reach in my pocket and find her panties. This is when I know tonight is going to be pretty awesome. Erica being proud of her sexiness and drunkiness must have told all the girls in the wedding party. Several of them ask me to "empty my pockets"

So about an hour later when it was finally dark out. Erica grabbed me and led me to my truck. We take care of business and head back in being very proud of our sneakiness.
We walk in and see the bride and groom as soon as we walk in. I tell Sara (bride) she looks beautiful. She looks at both of us and says:

Sara: You both have sex hair
Me: oops
Sara: You guys rock.
Me: Well my truck did at least.

So about an hour later and the reception was over we decided to skip the bars and just go home. This was at about 11pm. We get to the car and Erica notices she has a missed call on her phone. It was her mom. Apparently Eva went to sleep at 8pm and then woke up screaming at 10:45. Erica's mom said she wouldn't stop saying " I want mama" and "i wanna go home"

We were close to their house so we stopped by. Eva calmed down a little but still really wanted to go back to her bed. So we switched cars with them and took her home. We finally got her to sleep around 1am.

So that was Saturday.


Sunday

So Eva woke back up around 5:30am. The good news was she didn't have a fever any more. I stayed up with her until 10:30am until she finally went down for a nap. I was releived that she finally slept since her party was supposed to happen at 3pm. Erica and I napped for about an hour and then rushed to get everything clean and ready for the party.

The party when awesome and Eva got a lot of cool stuff. I didn't get any pictures loaded yet but I hope to get it done soon.

After the party we finally got to move over Eva's swingset from the neighbor. She loved the hell out of it. My buddy and I went to BW3s afterwards for some wings and beer. We play Golden Tee and I always beat him. The deal we have since I am so much better is that if I win he has to put $1 in Eva's savings account. If he wins I buy him a beer. that gives him some odds. So we were playing and I eagled the first 2 holes. I was just in the zone. That's when we came to Hole #3. It was a par 3. Here is my smack talk.

Me: If I hole this are you just going to give up now?
Matt: If you hole this I will put a $5 in Eva's account.
Me: I am feeling so cocky that I will buy you a beer if I don't hole it.
Matt: That sounds like a free beer to me.

After BW3s I just picked up some to go for Erica and we watched a movie to wrap up our hectic weekend.

WORKOUT

At 4:45pm the reminder on my phone went off that I had a chiropractor appointment at 5:30pm. This means no gym time today :mad: It also means that I get an adjustment and a 30 minute massage :D.

The massage and adjustment had me feeling great and ready to put all my energy into soccer.


SOCCER

So I take my Betacene on the way to soccer. I am feeling super pumped up and ready to go now. I get to the field with about 15 minutes till game time. So I run some sprints and get warmed up. A few other players are there so we kick around some. I took some shots on goal to warm up our keeper. I was keeping the ball low and on target really well. Then we saw lightning. :mad: The ref tells us we will have to wait 20 minutes from the last lightning strike to start the game. We waited for about 30 minutes and it just kept getting worse. At 8:30 the ref finally decided that we were just going to have to re-schedule this game.

So that's twice in one day that my workout plans were spoiled :(.

THE ZOO

So I took off most the day to take Eva to the Zoo for her birthday. She loved it! First we stopped to look at the monkeys. It was so cute she kept saying, "There's George! There's George! (Curious George)

Then we took a ride on the train they have there. She loved that too, but we didn't get any pics on it. We walked around and saw some more animals and she liked some. Then we came to the Manatees. I have the same issues. If I go heavy on shoulders standing I always have a sore upper back the next day. I will definitely be keeping face pulls in there

Knowing I am going to be in some pain the next few days I decided to use the last 20 minutes to do a nice slow stretching walk on the track upstairs. I stopped in between each lap to do a few stretches. It was here that I saw her. She was walking infront of me on the track. She had a great butt so I didn't mind staying behind her. Dressed in tight spandex that left little to the imagination. So I stopped again to stretch thinking I would now be able to see if the front was as hot as the back. She came around the corner and I started laughing. On this petite athletic frame this girl had fake boobs that were way bigger than her head. She looke rediculous. She was so attractive everywhere else. That's right for the first time in my life I saw boobs that were not a turn on. I could not get a picture, but these are about the proportions I am talking about except even more athletic legs.

SOCCER

90 minutes of outdoor soccer (no subs)

So we played a good game but lost 5-2. I still feel like we did really well. We were a player short the whole game, and were 2 players short for almost the whole first half. THe other team had 6 subs and didn't even offer us a player to make us at full force.

Idividually I played well with the exception of 2 plays. The first one was where I tried to use my left foot when a ball was crossed to me. I missed everything. My buddy Matt took the time to yell "nice wiff Harry!" It was pretty bad. The second one was stupid. The ball was crossed to me leaving just me and the goalie. Instead of taking a touch first and dribbling it in the goal I tried to one time it. I could have touched the ball and still had a few seconds to shoot. My shot when right by a few inches :( On the plus side I scored a nice goal and had an assist on the other.

Neither my neck was really sore yesterday and I decided to just let it heal up and not injure myself before vacation. Plus I am sore enough for the long drive already

We played well but played a player short the whole first half. We were down 3-0 at halftime when the other team decided to give us one of their 4 subs to bring us to full force. We shut them out the second half and scored a goal. I think with a full team we would have beat them. I played mostly defense since we were short a player.

It is driving me nuts that we have people that are either not showing up or that are calling off at the last second. I mean who does that. Is it too much to ask to figure this out the day before? Or to find a sub if you can't make it? People are really pissing me off with this!

I am going to try to up my cardio workouts. I am looking for a more balanced approach at working out. One that will get me in better shape. So I will be shooting for 3 cardio workouts a week and 3 weight training ones a week. I am spending alot of today figuring out a new split.

I may be looking at running in a thanksgiving race (5k) this year with my dad. He does it every year and I think it would be a good thing for me to shoot for.

Whether I do that or not, I will be getting 3 days of cardio in a week.

I am going to start tracking calories again tomorrow. I need to get groceries tonight.

BONUS WORKOUT

So I went and picked up Eva and headed home. The next door neighbor's kids were out who always play with Eva. Eva has been a little klingy since we got back from vacation. I decided to see if she would play with the kids while I started to cut the grass. Jenna (the kid next door) said she would be happy to play with Eva while I cut grass.

I get two lines of grass cut when Jenna brings a crying Eva over to me. Apparently she missed her daddy.

Eva: I want my daddy! I want my daddy
Me: What's wrong sweetie?
Eva: I want daddy
Me: Do you want to cut grass with Daddy?
Eva: Ok sure

So I put Eva in the backpack and cut half the yard with her there. She loved it for about 20 minutes then started crying.

Eva: I want down
Me: Ok do you want to play with Jenna again?
Eva: Yeah sure

I go back and cut another few rows. Jenna comes over again with a crying Eva.

Eva: I want daddy
Me: Do you want to just eat some dinner and get ready for bed?
Eva: Sure

After I calmed her down, got some dinner in her and put her to bed, I went back outside to finish cutting the grass. I may have forgot to mention that it is in the 90s here with humidity of 700%.

Treadmill - Intervals

2 min walk, 1-2 minute runs

I started out with my runs being 2 minutes @ 5.0 and increased the speed every interval by .2. From 5-6mph i did 2 minute runs from 6.2-7mph I did 1:30 runs and from 7.2-7.6 I did 1 minute runs.

I was really feeling good running on the treadmill, which is something I have never said before. I got some new running shoes so that may be it. Or it could be my pre-workout Betacene. Whatever it was it was awesome!

Nice! Sexy's started taking the TestX6 since he's back in the gym on a more regular basis. Baseball plus an injury made him soft. :p Anyway, he's really sweating like crazy since starting it. It cracks me up.

I ran out of TestX6 and KetoCuts for the past month and have to say I have noticed a decline in the amount of sweat so far each morning in the gym. I attributed it all to the KetoCuts though honestly. On TestX6 alone I did not notice anything additional.

SOCCER

90 minutes of outdoor soccer

We lost 4-2. We just weren't playing well as a team. Our defenders never attack the ball. It drives me nuts. All 4 of their goals were scored because our defenders won't just clear the ball.

Somewhere in the first half I went came down the wing with the ball and one of there defenders came to challange me. I juked him and while I was passing him he grabbed me with both hands and pushed me off the ball. I got free and almost got the ball back before it went out of bounds. The ref blew the whistle and called the ball out of bounds.

Me: Where is the call for the foul?
Ref: I saw some light contact but nothing worth a call.
Retard that fouled me: Quit being a baby!
Me: Foul me again and we will see who the baby is

So 1 minute later one of my teammates leads me with a ball. Its just me and the Retard running after the ball. I am faster and bump him shoulder to shoulder. He tries to wrap his arm around me to push me off. I then THROW AN ELBOW TO HIS THROAT. No whistle. I took a nice shot on goal which the goalie barely punched over the crossbar.

Retard looks mad.

Me: I warned you. I hope you can keep your hands to yourself now.

He wouldn't go near me the rest of the game.

I had about 8 shots on goal last night. They were all really nice shots too. Their keeper was awesome. I even had a bicycle off a corner kick that was perfect but at the last second the keeper got a hand on it. The two we did score were rebound shots.

WORKOUT

Not much to report here today. I just did some walking around and playing with Eva. My parents had extended family in so we played some soccer with the kids and a little cornhole. Pretty boring stuff.

Eva was great though. She want to play with my cousins twins who are not even a year old yet. She kept wanting to hold them. I wish I could have gotten that on video.

She "held" on of them on the lap and kissed her on the cheek. Savanah (the baby) started crying and Eva said, "don't cry" and patted her back. She is so cute!

We also told her that we were having a party and that's why everyone was coming. She responded with, "Where are the presents?"

She greeted each guess with, "thank you for my party"

So today our gyms Powerlifting Guru was there. This is the same guy that fixed my squat and convinced me to try my Squats and Deads shoeless. Well he came over today and fixed my SLDL. I realize now how wrong I was doing them. They feel so much better now. I don't know if this will make sense with just writing it but I will try. I was bending at the waist and touching the weight to the floor each time. He taugh me that the first thing that should move in a SLDL is your hips and butt. They should move back like a squat almost. After doing them this way I realized how wrong I was doing them. I will try to get a vid of these next week to show you more what I mean.

He was doing tripples with 585 on regular deads last night. This guy is a monster and I wish he could just train me. He is the only guy I have ever seen that I would actually pay for advice.

yeah the weight I was using was what I had set up for Rows. I just wanted to show people.

I did do about 2 hours of pulling weeds. That was enough for me, but I still had to cut grass. Cutting grass got to be even more of a workout as it started to rain about 3/4 of the way through it. The last 15 minutes were done at a near running pace. :)

Yeah, he was there. He was so cranky that day. And very upset because I was there, but I couldn't drag him around or spend much time with him. I don't enjoy taking him to my shows for that reason, although he's older now and might do a bit better.

Soccer

90 minutes of outdoor soccer.

I played center mid last night. I wish I could play here all the time. I play my best at this position. We played very well as a team tonight. We were tied with one of the best teams in our league with about a minute to go. There striker got the ball through and was one on one with our keeper. He faked a pass which the keeper bit on and then he just dribbled it into the goal. So we lost 2-1.

I had the assist on our 1 goal. I should have had 2 more assists, but both times my teammate shanked the shot. I like center mid because I can make awesome passes and then just blame the miss on someone else. I did take an awesome chip shot when the keeper was out that hit the top of the cross bar.

It is looking less and less likely that we will be playing soccer next session :(

WORKOUT


Another day of no regular workout. I knew it was going to be like this though. I plan on hitting the weights Thurs-Saturday this week. So tonight I will be hitting Chest Shoulders and Triceps.

I did manage to take about a 30 minute walk with Eva after we went and saw Shrek the 4th. This was her first movie in the theatre and she was great. She screamed a few things out but they were really cute.

(Shrek was running away and Donkey said, "Wait Shrek!!")
Eva: Oh No Shrek!!! Wait!!! (really loud)

(Shrek was getting ready to cry)
Eva: No Cry Shrek

(when the Dragon comes out)(Eva loves Dragons)
Eva: Mommy!! Daddy!! It's a dragon!!!

The funniest thing she did though happened everytime they would break into song. She would just start dancing in her seat. Then would look at everyone and say "come on guys dance!"

It was a great night!

SOCCER

We lost 3-1 and it was horrible. We had teammates yelling at each other for missing passes or not coming to the ball. We weren't organized. We looked like crap. It is looking more and more like we will be taking off next session. I have to get used to that idea. Hopefully by next year's outdoor session we will have a whole team together.

ATTEMPTED WORKOUT

So I was heading to the gym today on my moped when it suddenly stalled out. I tried to restart it and it wouldn't turn over. I pushed it into a gas station figuring that I had somehow ran out of gas again. I pull off the cap and can see the gas, so I know that is not the problem.

I reach for my phone to call Erica to have her come get me. Oh yeah I don't have a phone because I left it at Erica's parents on Sunday night. So my workout ended up being pushing my moped for 5 miles back to my house. It was probably more intense than my regular workout would have been anyway. I was drenched with sweat and annoyed when I got home.

I checked the oil once I got home and I think that might be the problem. Hopefully I can look at it tonight a little.



NEWS

I am still working on deciding what program I am going to run next. I have decided to devote this week to figuring it out. I finally got my Test6X from Double T and will be starting a new log and the supplement next week. I will be going back to tracking calories and all that then too. I will post links to the new log as soon as it is up.

WORKOUT

I had planned on doing Man Makers at the gym:

So I got a call at 4:30 that Eva had just now gone down for her nap at my mom's house. So I told her that I would just come there and wait till Eva woke up so that my mom could make it to her exercise class. It seemed as though my workout plans were spoiled once again. Then I found my dad's dumbells lying out in there TV room downstairs. It was as if fate was talking to me. They were only 20lb DBs but that was enough to have me gasping for air between sets.

I did 4 sets of 10 before Eva woke up. The first one probably took me a few minutes and by the last set I was taking mini breaks between reps to get them done. These were awesome!

NEWS

It looks like instead of waiting till next week that I will be starting this new program tomorrow!! I am pumped. I will also be back to tracking calories too. This plan allows for more calories than I am used to, but I am just going to stick to it for a few weeks and adjust from there.

Looking at what I have on hand supplement wise I am thinking of a few things.

1) I am out of Creadryl and have several tubs of Betacene. I am really thinking of using this as my pre-workout supplement. Any thoughts on this?

2) I am starting TestX6 tomorrow night as well.

3) NO Beta and Glutacene will be a used on weight training days too.

Glad you liked the man makers. :) I do those at home when I don't have a chance to get to the gym. I'm glad Hub mentioned them yesterday, because I had almost forgotten about them.
