May 3, 2010 - Monday:

Here goes nothing. Today is my first day of the 2010 Double-T Men's Get Fit Challenge. This is my first log so you might have to bare with me for a little while. My goal is to lose that stubborn fat around the mid-section.

My stats:
Weight - 203
Body Fat - 13.5% (I'm suprised too. I was measured by a trainer)

My supplements:
Double-T Creadyl
Double-T NO Beta (Never really had any luck with NO pills. Interested to see how this will work)
Double-T Keto-Cuts
Double-T TestX6
Now Omega-3
Source Naturals Life Force Multi
Whey & Casein Protein Powders

As far as my workout goes, I will be following the I,Bodybuilder program on T-Muscle. I find I respond better to heavier weights, so this peaked my interest. After weights, comes the dreaded cardio session. Now, me and cardio have a love/hate relationship. I hate cardio indoors on any piece of equipment. I get bored to quickly (even doing HIIT). Pending on the weather, the majority of my cardio will be done at the high school football stadium next door to the gym. They have a track open to the public. Now I also hate running around in circles on the track (I'm startin' to sound kind picky). I will mainly be doing sprints, plyo's, running the stairs on the bleachers, or some mix of that. After that I go home and usually perform some sort of presses or curls with about 25lbs.

(Attachment is supposed to go here. I'll figure it out sooner or later)

Today's Workout: - Keep in mind these are short rest periods.

1) Top-Half Seated Overhead Press from Pins (Smith Machine, gym doesn't have power rack)
3 x 195, 3 x 215, 3 x 225 (I know the bar on the machine weighs 15lbs. not 45)
2) High-Incline Bench Press
3 x 105, 3 x 125, 3 x 145, 3 x 155, 3 x 175, 3 x 185
3) Push Press
1 x 135, 3 x 135, 1 x 145, 3 x 145, 1 x 155, 3 x 155, 4 x 135

Cardio: After a warm-up, I ran the stairs on the bleachers twice. I need to get a stopwatch and start timing myself.

Overall I had a good workout. It was more of a feeler workout as I don't know what my 1-rep maxes are on these lifts. The cardio session was real good. It was pretty humid outside today (nothing new in south Louisiana), and it had me sucking wind by the time I finished.

My supplements are supposed to get here tomorrow, so I didn't get to use any today. Posting pics now.

Hey good luck on the challenge. I'm onto week 2 now and loving every minute of it, believe it or not. The supplements are great! I agree with you on the cardio.... I just wrote something similar today about my love/hate relationship... you are NOT being picky! Running sucks... lol

Yeah running is a pain. I should have clarified myself though. I don't mind doing cardio in short bursts (sprints, plyos, stairs, etc.) I just can't stand the monotony of distance running. Good luck to you too on your challenge. Nice too see that you're loving it. I'll be checking in to see how it's going.

Welcome to the transformation challenge! I think you'll find that the group is pretty darn awesome, as are the reps (no patting of myself on the back. :p) If you have any questions, please send me a PM. I'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm sure all the reps deserve a pat on the back (Simpy gets 2). I think it is great that ya'll try to respond to as many people as you can.

Just wondering, how many scoops of Creadyl do you have to take before logging into the forums?

Ok so here goes my log for the day. I didn't get much sleep last night, but was still wide awake when the alarm went off at 4:30am. My alarm clock is also an Ipod dock, and instead of the normal...beep...beep, I woke up to it blaring Buckcherry - Lit Up. I have to admit, it scared the living hell out of me. Anyway, lets skip a few hours. I get off of work @ 4:30pm, and normally I go straight to the gym. However......MY SUPPS ARRIVED!!!!!! So of course I had to go home.

Supplements:
About 15 min pre-workout I took 3 x NO BETA. Immediately pre-workout I had 1 scoop CREADYL and finished it about 20 min into my workout.

Workout:
Today was a full body workout.

A1: Leg Press
1 x 540, 3 x 540, 1 x 630, 3 x 630, 10 x 500
A2: Leg Curl
1 x 130, 3 x 130, 1 x 145, 3 x 145, 7 x 120
B1: Low-Incline Bench Press
1 x 195, 3 x 195, 1 x 195, 3 x 195, missed max rep set.
B2: Seated Row
3 x 180, 3 x 200, 3 x 200, 3 x 200, missed max rep set.
C1: Triceps Extension from Pins
3 x 65, 3 x 75, 3 x 75, 3 x 85, 10 x 65
C2: Preacher Curl
3 x 70, 3 x 80, 3 x 90, 3 x 90, 11 x 70

Workout Summary:
Overall I had an O.K. workout. I started off feeling pretty good with the legs, but after that, things just kind went south. I hate when people just wanna start talking to you in the middle of a workout. I lose all my focus, and I can never get it back. In the middle of my "C" exercises, I was held for about 10 min. Needless to say my workout was dead. Hopefully I will have a better day tomorrow.

Supplement Review:
I can't really give an accurate review b/c of the distractions. I do think I will up my dose of NO Beta to 6/day. What do you think is the best way to do this? Should I take 3 in the morning and then 3 pre-workout, or take all 6 pre-workout? Suggestions appreciated. I am hesitant to up my dose of CreaDyl b/c in order for me to get 8hrs of sleep I have to be sleeping for 9:00 (which never happens :( I normally can only get b/w 5-6hrs.

Well that's about it. Hopefully I will have a better update for ya'll tomorrow.

Thanks.

I do have one question. I am increasing my NO Beta to 6/day. What is the best dosing for this? 3 in the a.m. & 3 before workout, or all 6 before workout - I don't know. Would splitting it 3/3 help more with recovery?

You could try taking all 6 before your workout. A lot of people do that. Some will split it up the effects are too much. Try it and see how you react then if its too much scale back the dosing to 5 or 4.

Day 3:

Ok, so today started off pretty good. I took 4 caps of TestX6 before I went to bed, and was able to have a pretty good nights sleep. When I woke up this morning (4:45am) I took 1 Keto-Cuts on an empty stomach, and let me tell you. My energy was THROUGH THE ROOF. It stayed with me for hours. At about 10:00am I started to crash, but I blame that more on still not getting enough sleep, only about 6 hours. I took another cap of Keto-Cuts before lunch and my energy was back again, and it helped me through the rest of the work day. On my way to the gym, I took 6x NO Beta. I have to admit, I still didn't feel anything from these. I didn't even get the tingle associated with Beta-Alanine. Anyway, immediately before my workout I had 1 scoop of Creadyl. I will say I had a good workout. I didn't really get an energy rush from the Creadyl, but I do think that it did help push me through these heavy sets. Again still not sure if I got anything out of the NO Beta, but like I said before, I never really had any luck with any NO pills.

On to the Workout:

A1: Top-Half Seated Overhead Press from Pins
2 x 165, 2 x 195, 2 x 195, 2 x 195, 2 x 195, 2 x 195
A2: Dumbell Lateral Raise
2 x 35, 2 x 35, 2 x 35, 2 x 35, 2 x 35, 2 x 35
A3: Push Press
2 x 135, 2 x 135, 2 x 135, 2 x 135, 2 x 135, 2 x 135
A4: Dumbell Front Raise
2 x 35, 2 x 35, 2 x 40, 2 x 40, 2 x 40, 2 x 35 (somebody stole the 40's)

B1: High Power Pull
2 x 135, 2 x 135, 2 x 155, 2 x 155, 2 x 155, 2 x 155
B2: Low Power Pull
2 x 225, 2 x 225, 2 x 225, 2 x 225, 2 x 225, 2 x 225
B3: Upright Row
2 x 70, 2 x 90, 2 x 100, 2 x 110, 2 x 110, 2 x 110
B4: Face Pull
2 x 120, 2 x 140, 2 x 140, 2 x 140, 2 x 140, 2 x 140

Workout Summary:
I had a pretty good workout. I was supposed to do 7 sets of each, but I'm pretty sore with this new program and after 6 sets I was definitely feeling it.

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and took 6 today pre-workout. Review is above. Still not sure about this supplement.

It took a couple of days for my body to get use to the No-Betas and get the boost i get from them that i get now, but once they break through you will know...as for the tingling feeling from the beta-alanine i never get that myself..

Good luck to you as well. You're already cut. A 16lb gain would definitely add nice size.

I figured it might take a few days to kick in. I was curious about the beta-alanine b/c I have taken it in the powder form and got the tingles. I'm definitely going to keep dosing though.

As soon as I buckle down and actually start measuring my food, my diet will look something like this. 3 days low carb, then 1 day high carb. On my low carb days, I am shooting for 5-6 meals at about 48g protein/24g carbs/11g fat. My high carb days will be the same 5-6 meals with about 33g protein/56g carbs/12g fat.

I will definitely add some suicide runs into the mix once I build up my endurance. I hadn't done cardio in a while b/c I lose interest too fast when doing it on equipment in the gym.

I only take 1 scoop of Creadyl per day, my husband, however, doses twice a day. He takes his last scoop around 7 pm and it doesn't bother him at all. One thing I will say about the stims in the Creadyl, is that they seem to wake me up and get me energized, without making me nervous or jittery.

Why don't you try taking the Creadyl 2x per day, instead of two scoops at once. Try one in the morning, and one a little before your workout. See how that works for you.

Workout looks good man. Give it a few more days and it should kick in, we all react differently to everything. Some are more sensitive than others. I think I've seen some people taking 8 NO Betas at once as well.

Its been a while since I posted, so here it goes. For me this competition is over. Sorry.

After giving NO Beta & Creadyl a fair shot, I didn't find the products really helped me out. Even after taking the max dosage of NO Beta & Creadyl, I didn't feel any difference with these products. I will say that the TEST X6 helped me sleep better, and the Keto-Cuts did give me energy. Those two products could possibly be worth a shot, however the other two done nothing for me.

Hope everyone else has better luck with the products than I did.
