I've been needing to get this things started, and so now...I have.

I need to get start pics in a little while, with stats...please note the puke bucket off to the right. It's a new log..so let's not mess it up too much yet. KTHX.

So what I plan to do here is update in the evenings with diet, workout, and whatever else needs to be mentioned. That way I can stay on top of it more easily. Please feel free to throw out suggestions, if you feel so inclined. I shall run them by my inner voices and reply accordingly. No promises, though. :D

Currently I'm taking CreaDyl (orange cream), Glutacene (Wildberry and orange), NoBeta, and just started KetoCuts today (one dose, as I slept in...and wow! power!). I've just begun to play with adding a bit of CreaDyl to my intra on weight days...it's been really cool, too!

I've got a good bit to lose yet, and am also in the OBF challenge so it's getting pretty intense over here. I've made some major crackdown changes in my household so no one can talk me into dining out, or having any alcohol from here on. I'm even cutting out coffee! I'm tellin' ya, it's crazy!

So, once I get a chance tonight, I'll take and post before pics, and add the vital stats to my bodyspace page..that way it's not all scary and vivid over here. heh.

Here's to a strong start, and even stronger finish!

now where's teh tylenols? ;)

I cut out coffee from my diet (only last week) and I feel so much better! - took me a few days to get used to it but I knew I had to get off it for awhile/cut down.

Thank you thank you thank you for coming by and subbing and not commenting on my lack of proper window coverings at this point. I swear it was zombie dragons...I just can't have nice things with those monsters around.

I know I said I'd have pics and stats up. Had a small series of emergencies (nothing serious..just time consuming) around here and tomorrow hubby is having a little outpatient surgery so I'll be a teeny bit longer with that. I do hope to have them late tomorrow....and will be back with proper replies then as well.

Why would you cut out coffee? Just wondering, since it has so few calories.

I've been caffeinated for so long that I want to know what it's like not to have to stop everything and get some coffee before my head explodes. Also I understand sleep is so much better without it. I'm having to cut down gradually for now, though. :(

I cut out coffee from my diet (only last week) and I feel so much better! - took me a few days to get used to it but I knew I had to get off it for awhile/cut down.

Did you quit cold turkey or ratchet it down? I'm really afraid of that headache....

Everything is perfectly ok. He's actually feeling fine this morning. He had surgery to remove a cyst from his hand. It turned out to be a 'giant cell tendon sheath tumor'. Scary sounding name for a harmless nasty booger looking thing camping out in his hand. Blech. But he has good pain pills so...lucky bastid.

So here's where I stand now....after a hellacious (it's a word. i know it is...) day yesterday, I didn't stray off meal plan much at all. Yes, I took 5 yr old to Hooters for lunch...it was close, convenient, and she wanted to eat at the owl place. I had grilled ckn sammich, w/o the bun. It did the job. That sad bit of lettuce...not so much. But anyway...that place...ugh. That's all I'm sayin.

Still, haven't strayed much at all, though I was waaaaayyy under cals yesterday. Not a drop of wine in a week now. Not even a little. Missed workout yesterday so I'll have makeup workout time today. In just about a half hour, in fact.

Kidlet is away for the evening so I will have a chance to get the measurements, scale number (refusing to call it 'weight' because it's really just gravity...hmph) and the befores up on my profile finally. Will start logging meals today as well...it'll be a scream!

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers. It wasn't a big big deal, but always a bit scary, you know?

Oh, and I didn't take keto yesterday as I couldn't be certain of my water intake...and when I take fat burners/thermogenics I have to drink tons of water or I am in agony....but I did get 2 in the day before and didn't get that same jolt I had the first day. Might have been a fluke.

So there you have it...for the moment. :)

I felt pretty good about it, even though the chicken was no more grilled than I am....(that made sense in my head. trust me.). The diet soda wasn't the best choice, but I was hungry and used that to fill the empty space (not in my head. sheesh) so I would keep the meal in control. Didn't anticipate waiting, or I'd have brought my own stuff. :D

Hopefully it'll be fun! I don't actually try to be funny. It just sort of happens. Then there's restraining orders...handcuffs...inquests... and mom always said it's always funny til someone gets arraigned.

And thanks! I wish that were a current photo. It's a few years old...a reminder that I used to be somebody with some body. I'm working back to something more like it. Was too skinny then. Kid #3 came along and now I'm too fat. There can never be a balance with me. (probably because of my fear of scales...get it? balance? scal...nevermind...) :D Photos are up on my bodyspace thingie. They're hideous. Don't look. Wait a month. Stats are there too. Again, don't look.

In! I follow your other one, so I will this one too!

Yay! Beast in da house! I heart having stalkers. It makes me feel warm, and a little scared. ;)

Ok as promised, here is the info on today. First, as mentioned above (over near where I went on about handcuffs and other types of restraints) my before info is up. It's hidden carefully away on my profile thingie. Not for the faint of heart...and certainly blows my image of myself. I'm so much cuter in real life. yeah...uh huh......*ghaaaa!*

First, workout. I'm not sure what went on today but I could not get that point of 'Oh wow what a great workout!' and I came away quite frustrated. I think it was because I changed up the routine a bit using DBs instead and the numbers are quite different. Or I could just be having an off day. Still....didn't get that WOOHOO moment at all. Kind of like losing the sneeze. Also I wonder if it was timing of No Beta, or an extra kick of CreaDyl. Or maybe I'm secretly turning into supergirl.

CreaDyl 90 minutes before w/o. No Beta about 20 minutes before. 2 scoops Glutacene with a tiny bit of CreaDyl during workout. KetoCuts before breakfast and about 2 pm.

SLDL One arm DB
2x40x12 (felt too much in lower back so...)
2x35x12 (felt pretty good. thought i'd feel it later...alas...)

Hamstring Curls
3x60x12 (really controlled the ROM in hopes of killing the hams today)

Skipped ball curls since I did feel fatigue at this point. (didn't last. grr)

Bent Over Row BB
4x60x12 (no change in weights but am struggling with the last 3 or so big time. annoyed)

Lat Pulldown (regular grip)
3x50x12 (see bent row note. same thing)

Seated Cable Pull
2x50x12
1x50x15

Hyperextension
3x12

Cardio: Treadmill 30 minutes at incline of 7 and speed from 3.2-3.5.

Menu:
1 whole egg 2 egg whites, 1 pc Ezekiel toast with EVOO spread (lite, and very little)
BSN Lean Dessert Protein shake made with Almond Milk
4 oz extra lean ground turkey, Whole Wheat Sandwich round, mustard and onion. Salad w/ lite dressing
1 oz dry roasted unsalted almonds
tilapia/shrimp brushed with evoo, whole wheat couscous 1/3 cup, side salad w/lime as dressing and home made pico

That's it. I'd probably kill someone for a glass of wine tonight, but I'm going to just go to bed instead. *sigh* I miss my wine like Lindsay Lohan misses her dignity. But I shall persevere...because I saw my before pictures and want to cry. Wah.

So all you much fitter and more experienced than I please feel free to tear this apart. I have to crack down on the diet a bit more. The almonds weren't planned and I should have gone with something else but I didn't. Someone email me some better willpower. Mine was a little broken today.

Love it! So I'll be absolutely sure to add unusual anecdotes so you can tell your friends what the bunny did today. "Hey check this out! So you know my friend the bunny, right? you'll never believe what that crazy bunny said today...." Trust me, no one will say it's strange at all. Though they may call for the guys with the white jackets.... ;)

I saw those pics...and they made me cry, too. Not for the same reason though. I'm looking forward to having a body anywhere NEAR that good!! :D You're still smokin' no matter what you say or think, and that's that. Teh bunny monstar has spoked!

And by glass, you mean bottle, right? Because the bottle is made of glass and all...

Took a rest day yesterday, though taking 5 yr old out walking around, to the park, playing bears/horsies/doggies/whatever all day hardly counts as rest. I'm wrung out today after a pretty rough night. Tummy was not happy about something. Not at all. Nope.

I'm going to keep workout at home today since I don't like sharing my germs. I'm so selfish. I'll still get in my 4 days cardio, as well as my full w/o schedule, but no cardio today. Just weights. Hopefully tummy is through staging a coup and I wont have to stop to advance the troops (another reason to stay home and w/o....heh). Going to wait til afternoon and see how much better I feel by then. I'm not anticipating heavy lifts, but light will feel like a ton I'm sure. As long as those muscles get what's coming to them, I'm happy.

*thud*

Needless to say, I need to post yesterday's meal plan but let me do that later because I don't want even to THINK about food at the moment. (not that anything later in the day truly counted. I only rented that stuff...hah)

Heading into weekend mode, ending week 1....weekends always falter a little but not this time. For the next few months I'm so hardcore I scare myself.

Not much point in going too much into meal plans since the last day or two have been kind of a wash. I'm way off due to unforseen invasion in the tummy region. It's getting better though...I'm a much lighter shade of green now. :D

Had a pretty good workout despite feeling pukey. Surprised me! A lot! I did cut it a bit short, but didn't let up on weights or reps. I'll show my tummy who's boss! *urp*

Shoulder,bi,tri today and I pushed to failure on the last sets...even adding a 4th set if I didn't feel I'd exhausted the muscle. I'm such a sadist.

Cardio kicked my ass though. Didn't even make it to 20 minutes before feeling like I was really really about to be ill. Left pretty quick. heh.

Nice to note that even with all this, the supps didn't upset my stomach any more than it already was. That surprised me.

Mostly right now I'm tired....so here's to a good night's sleep, and a really butt kicking workout tomorrow. Going to start doubling up now to get this fat gone. (that's a whole other emo ball of lonely, angst ridden, bad poetry writing wax...).

Also hoping for complete coherence tomorrow, which will mean replies that make sense (yeah, um....like that's ever happened...ha), balloons, and maybe even some LIMBO!!!

I'm going to keep the workout at home today since my gym closes at 4 and I hate limits. Plus I think it'll be fun to do walking lunges along the sidewalk. :D

But first, a bit of sun!

And wait til you see what else I'm going to be up to today...heh heh heh. Stay tuned, kids...this could get really interesting.

Probably it wont, but you just. never. know.

MMMM....diet creme soda!! I live out here in BFE Montana, and wish I could find some of that! They have Diet Root beer, but it's not the same!! LOL!

A&W makes the best diet creme soda, imo....and I couldn't find it in TN for a long time. I was not a happy girl at all. It's readily available in Houston though. Wonder if the company would ship to you? Always worth a query...

I didn't get vids, or pics. Everyone abandoned me this afternoon. Don't fret, though...I made up a little short but powerful (like me! haha) work out. About 1/2 an hour of OUCHIES! I knew it was going to be a lot of interval stuff, so aside from my KetoCuts, I did not supplement today.

So, I did the following series of leg exercises with 30 seconds of jump rope in between each set. I am not a good jumper roper person, so now I have bruises all over my legs and butt. Life is good.

Walking lunges
3x10x10 (ow. but i love 'em)

Sumo Squats with Bosu (one foot on bosu, other on ground...really deep squats. butt thanked me)
12x4 (which was 2 sets for each leg switch thingie...so a crapload of squats)

Plie' squats (because i still like to feel ballerina-y)
2x15x12
1x20x15 (just because)

Crunches on Bosu
3x25

Oh, and jump rope has weighted handles.

Fear the bunny? Yeah, I thought so. ;)

So it was a short workout, but my legs are spent. I'd do that one again when time is short and I need to get some sweat on. I really enjoyed it, and would love to increase my intensity with workouts like that. Not bad for a newb. Not really sure why sprints didn't happen. I think it's probably because I'd rather have a track. Need to call school and see what the policy is on that. I want to get more sprinting in my program. And bleacher runs. The booty must have it!

M2 Vanilla Protein Shake, banana

M3 4 oz chkn, pico de gallo (home made...no salt), light cheddar (less than 1/4 cup), pepper sauce

M4 11 almonds and a bit of chocolate nibs (so good, and killed that chocolate craving big time!)

M5 4 oz chkn, brown rice, pico, lots of hot sauce (didn't finish it, was full.)

Today it's going to be a bit of tanning while the kidlet plays in her super cool sandbox, then this afternoon I'll hit the gym. It'll either be HIIT, if I'm too sore for anything else, or my regular split (hamstrings and back, which means SLDL...woot!). I'll decide later. It more depends on time. Tuesdays and thursdays are difficult to plan with the little diva around. I still plan to keep jump roping for a few minutes in there somewhere. :D

I'm really sore today. All over sore, but I finally really got some soreness going in my chest. I like the Hammer thingie. I was able to really work through the movement and not have that fear of dropping heavy stuff on my head. And supersetting things was cool! I really liked the constant motion, and the workout sped by! Hey even my abs are complaining a bit today, and that almost never happens!

I upped my ketocuts to 2 in the am, one in the evening, and had no issues with it, so I'll stay with that. Keeping a LOT of water on hand which means several bathroom breaks through the workout. But hey, it's all good, right?! :)

I like it a lot! I'm not jittery at all, and haven't felt any of that weird backache that I normally get with other fat burners/thermogenics. Appetite has been well in control, but more importantly, I feel in control of cravings entirely, but I don't feel 'altered' in any way. So far, so good!

Yesterday's cardio was enlightening. I ran more than I thought I could and that felt pretty amazing. I'm so sore from the past several days though. The only things that don't hurt right now are the body parts I'll be working in today's workout. Ha!

So this evening I should be ready for the jacuzzi, massage, and whatever muscle relaxers are available...haha.

How many scoops of glutacene are you using? If you havent saw an improvement in it helping with soreness i would add in an extra scoop. I usualy use 3 scoops but will go up to 4 if i know that day will be a heavy day

2 is my standard. Monday was a 3 scoop day though. I didn't have any yesterday since it was cardio only...but perhaps I should rethink that and have 2 scoops every day, whether it's a lifting day or not. Maybe even on rest days?

It's nothing I can't work through, but I know my body is there today. heh. (it could be just cuz i'm getting old....)

I have only just started taking Glutacene on cardio days, for no other reason that I really need to limit the soreness with my squat program. Try it for a bit and see if it helps.

No jitters, no hyper feeling. I feel more in control of my eating and have more energy. Not frenetic energy, either. I am, at heart, a couch potato down to my DNA and I can't think of a better day than to plop on the sofa with CSI reruns, and if I think of something I need to do, I'll also think..."yeah I'll get that done sometime this week...". Now, I'll think of something and go get it done. It's subtle, but distinct! :D

Yeah I'm seeing that reasoning as well. I think because I'm pushing cardio so hard lately. It's that jump rope! Diabolical! Will be taking Glutacene daily for a while....

Yesterday's lack of sleep proved to be too much for me, and working out didn't happen. It's ok, though...because I have more than enough to get it done today. I'll sort of be combining 2 programs, but nothing over the top. I'm going to get the lifting part done at home, though. I'm getting a bit burned out on my playlists so it's time to watch movies when I can. Will hit the gym after for some solid cardio, though.

I'm low on meals already since this bunny got to sleep late today! (thanks hubby!!! :D) I'm not even going to TRY to catch up at this point. Heh.

A couple of things...I'm going to weigh in on fridays, so if I don't check in, or you don't see a lower number, please feel free to call me on it. I'm dead serious. And if you notice that little number over there is 2 less than last week. Woot!

Also, I'm going to be giving this my full focus and attention. I'm in the OBF but I'm more focused on this challenge for various reasons. That said, I'll be kicking myself out of my comfort zone a lot more with progress pics, etc...really letting myself get known, if that makes sense.

I'm tracking with fitday finally and will post daily results so if there's any feedback there, shout it out. I struggle with meals, even with a solid plan! Often I'm under, or over...rarely am I perfectly spot on. I'm going to change that.

That's pretty much the overview for the moment. Good results, but it's time for GREAT results. I'm starting to see changes, and I look different somehow...really excited to see how that keeps going. :D

Today:

Spent most of last night salvaging my computer since some asshat out there in interwebzland infected me (yeah, i know...insert nasty comment here. i'm too tired.) so a workout is probably not forthcoming. I may get some sun. I might snooze. I will probably still be cursing the dickweed who created that stupid virus ('windows security alert' virus. pain. in. the. ass.). BUT, I will be patting myself on the back because I have a very clean, fast running system now, with strong firewalls, tanks, and a yippy little guard dog with mouth herpes to protect me now.

I need to reform my program a little anyway...so today might be a good day to do that.

And a nice little moment of win. Last night after computer reformatpalooza, I was taking a nice, well deserved hot bath and glanced in the mirror *gasp*, and I see some noticeable changes! I admit it. I did a little dance. Naked. In front of a mirror.

That? was not as impressive.

Have a great sunday y'all! :D

Fresh off the copypaste from my other journal, here's todays workout info!

I have tweaked my usual program for now just to freshen it up. I LOVE the program, and will shift back to it after a break...because it's intense! For now, I'm going with a 3 day split, with cardio days in between lifting days...and weekends if I feel ambitious (and i will...)

So it will look like this:

Monday-Legs/abs
Wed-Chest/back
Fri-Shoulders/arms/abs

I'll keep it heavy, and still intense...in fact, it wont look ALL that much different...

45 minutes before: 1 scoop CreaDyl (was rushing after frustrating mp3 player issue)
20 minutes before: 6 NO Beta

During: 2 scoops Glutacene

Squats
2x95x12
2x100x12

Superset w/ Calf Raises
3x140x12

Leg Press
3x140x12

Walking Lunges
2x15x12

Plie Squats (wide stance, very slow ROM. Really worked these)
4x20x12

Superset with Ball Curls
3x12

Crunches
5x25

30 minutes on Treadmill and I was wrecked. Incline felt like mountain climbing and it took me almost 20 minutes to really find good stride. Dunno if that's from the pump, or just the shock of a different routine but I felt like I really gave it all.

On the squats, I'm noticing I can get lower with better control, so I'm thinking it's time to push the numbers again. For some reason 140 on the leg press was pretty rough.

Meals were on the low side today...which might be why I struggled a bit in the gym. Going to pull that in tomorrow.

On the subject of meals: I was running like crazy this morning trying to get some things done and I pretty much missed breakfast entirely. I know....I know...very bad. It was 11:30 or so and I just made it lunch instead. I did ok the rest of the day. Here's how that went.

2 KetoCuts in the am, 1 in the afternoon. Will probably up that to 2x2 by weekend.

Brunch:
4 oz chkn, 1/3 C brown rice, green beans w/ garlic (yes, i am eating green beans now! woot!), scrambled egg white, onions, low sodium soy, ginger, hot peppers. (basically japanese rice, and absolutely delish!). Used Olive oil spray to keep from sticking to pan. No other oil added.

post w/o
Protein shake w/ almond milk, banana and natty PB

Dinner:
Same as brunch. I'm tellin' ya...so good!

Snack:
strawberries

So it's low. I need to plug it in and see where my macros are. I'm pretty sure I screwed the pooch today. (ew) Will be much more relaxed and careful tomorrow.

There you have it. Oh, and I did take a lot of time to stretch after my lifting...and it made me miss ballet so much. Which made me dance around a little in the empty aerobics room where no one could see me. Heh heh....

Oh, and one final thing, then I swear I'll go away for now....I am making a few changes which should free up time...meaning I'll be able to take time to read other journals instead of being a selfish bad bunny. :D

Thanks for the heads up! Good point!

I haven't really minded the pump before, but I was feeling the negatives of it yesterday. I'm going to try either half dosing, or cutting it out entirely on leg days. I'm feeling that workout big time today. Not especially pained, but I'm sore. Enough to know I made something happen. I love that.

Today was just cardio, and I think I was trying to catch up on the low cals yesterday. Not entirely a bad thing. I actually had red meat today. Twice. I really have to be careful with the meals. I'm pushing pretty hard and can't afford to slack on the fuel.

I was so tired I almost skipped working out entirely. Made myself just go try for 20 mins and got in a very fast pace 30 minutes instead. (like I knew i would...i'm so predictable..hah). Felt it later though. I'm pretty spent. Another reason to be careful about meals. I'm pretty sure today's crash is diet related.

There was something else I wanted to mention but I forgot what it was. Guess that zombie bite earlier wasn't as superficial as I thought. Oh well....garg.

Meals today, from memory...what little there is of that.

1 whole egg, 2 whites. Ezek bread
4oz extra lean ground beef, 1/3 c brown rice, bunch of steamed broccoli and HOT SAUCE FTW!
post w/o protein shake: Cake batter flavored powder, frozey banana and pineapple=pineapple upsidedown cake shake! YUM!
4 oz pepper and garlic crusted roast beef (oh yes, i made some. and it was GOOD.), 1/4 c boiled red potato with dill seasoned greek yogurt. green beans w/garlic.

oh, and a small handful of dry roasted, no salt almonds. Also, I had a few mini rice cakes before dinner when everyone else was snacking on MY secret stash of snacks. Meanies.

So, not perfect, but damn....i made a good dinner. :)

Going to sleep now. If I wake up and try to eat anyone's brains, just call Johnny Depp. He'll know what to do.

night!

Here's what I'm going to do today with my NO Beta. Today is a 4x9 rep squat day (you remember my squat hell, don't you?) So I won't be doing a lot of sets, but the 9 reps is enough to really get the pump going for me. I plan to take 3 NO Beta this morning, and 3 pre-workout. I want to see how that works as far as the pump goes. The other day I took all 6 after my squats, but I want to try it this way instead. I'll report back.

I actually made it again last night, only with baked chicken. I like it a lot better with canned chicken for some reason. It's such a great fast meal and tastes sinful. I had to double my recipe last night because the 19 yr old wanted some too. :D I absolutely love fresh pico. *drool*

Yesterday was a rest day, which meant more strawberries! And lots of kids running around! And movie time in the garage? Wtf? Weird... It was a nice day. I took the kidlet out to lunch, and the place blew. Big time. So there was no guilt at all since I picked at the grilled chicken sandwich (chicken off the soggy bread. yeah. soggy. gross). Didn't take more than a small bite of the steamed broccoli since it was saturated with butter. Ugh! Will not be returning. Not that I cared. I was just having fun with my girlie. Yesterday was the last day for strawberries, I think. But blackberries will be ready in about a month! And pick-your-own tomatoes too! Heaven!!

Today is arms. Some things have come up that will keep me home today but that's perfectly ok! This workout is EASILY adapted for home. Cardio will dominate the weekend though. Also perfectly ok. My only concern is that I'm not 100% sure how effective today's lifting will be while on painkillers.

I found out a neat trick with KetoCuts. At 4 a day, it's a teeny bit much for me but my weakest time is afternoon/evening.....so I took only 1 yesterday morning, and moved my 2 to the afternoon. Perfection! It helps with that afternoon snack siren...more than I thought it would.

Going to have to place another order for supplies here soon. :D

Yeah it kinda went kaput. I'm not sure where Heather is, either. It's cool though. I need to focus on the things I most want to see happen. So here I is. :D

Last week fizzled completely. Thursday is typically my rest day, but friday had me with a pretty shaky tummy. I did work arms and shoulders at home, and only used 15 lb weights with careful negatives work. I'm tellin' ya, you don't need much weight to kill it with those. I STILL feel it. Yay!

Saturday morning I decided to start the day with a new protein shake brand, and um...just...no. It upset my stomach so badly that I did no workout at all. Not a thing. I cleaned my house a little, and got laundry done, but I felt awful til about 3ish. Lots of bloating. Ouch. Needless to say cals were practically non existant saturday.

Sunday was lovely. Hubby got me an iTouch (which arrived this morning, but that's ok! extended fun for mom!), and I spent the day playing with the kids. I took my son's old bike out for a bit of a ride and realized I forgot how much I love bike riding. That totally counts as cardio.

I kicked ass in the gym today, even though I only had 20 minutes of cardio after legs. I wanted to get back home and load up Gibbs (my iTouch) with music, apps and anything else I can! It's so cool! I have wi-fi in the house so I can access this site with it! Wheee!!

Will bring details later with today's meals but let me say one quick thing.

#125 on squats!! FTW! I had a spotter, too...who checked my form and everything. So I know I did them well! *dances around*

Thanks! I was thrilled to finally get that 125 in the bag. I'll hang out there a while though. I'm happy with the development on my quads. Now it's time to seriously cut cut cut. Ball Hamstring Curls
3x15 (standard. and i'm getting really good at them)

Crunches
5x25x25 (nothing exciting. just abs abs abs)

Side walky squat thingies since I still had a little energy
2x25x8 (i felt like i left a little too much back, so I threw these in for abductor/adductor (sp?)....and i was spent.)

Cardio
started out running, and was set to nearly break my pathetic 10 minute mile, but I got that stupid stitch in my side thing which refused to cooperate so I walked. Fast. Uphill. Both ways. I'm pissed that I couldn't break my 10 min mile, even though i HATE distance running. I have this stupid singular goal regarding the mile. I'm shocked I can even DO a mile. Sheesh. But now I want a single digit time. Just once.

Then it's back to sprints, because I want the bootay!

Today is extended cardio...with new toy for entertainment! Hopefully I can pick up some wi-fi at gym so I can watch vids or something unusual and fun! If not, the totally new playlist (with bitchin' 80s songs!) will have to do.

Tomorrow my former trainer wants to get in a session with me. Supposed to be chest/back. My weakest point. I hope we stick to that, because I KNOW i'll get wrecked with that extra push. Schweet!! Of course, he'll prlly cancel. *pout*

Anyway, there it is. For now. Stay tuned for more fun and mayhem...after these messages....

I enjoy them, strangely. They make me feel so badass. :) I did intervals during today's workout, and to say I'm spent is an understatement. Woohoo!

Thought I'd stop in! Your log is looking wonderful. You are really killing it girl!!

Thanks!! I'm trying to. I'm seeing the numbers on the scale steadily diminish now, and I'm actually starting to see the physical changes. Looking at taking progress shots in another few weeks at this rate. :D

Today:

Remember yesterday how I said I'd be workout a session with my former trainer? Remember I was all "YAY!" about it? Heh.

It was freaking awesome! He did let me stay on the chest/back rotation, but added a whole bunch of other compound stuff and I am beyond spent, beyond drenched, and I feel awesome! I know I'll feel this tomorrow. I'm finishing up my Glutacene now, and may add a bit more later because this will be painful. OH yes, it will.

No CreaDyl today because historically his workouts are strong on plyo and no breaks. I thought it'd be best to limit creatine this workout. I was right. heh.

So what happened is that he designed a new workout program for his saturday boot camp, and wanted someone to try it out on. Oh. my. heck. (oh, and did i mention I'M ON POSTERS AT THE GYM!??! For his boot camp! Talk about weird, and oh so cool!)

I wrote everything down, but describing it will be interesting. It was all in the trainer room, and used the olympic bar for everything. Weights on one side only, and using the bar as a fulcrum, I guess you'd call it. Lots of shoulder/back/chest and of course leg/core...then throw up...I mean IN...some sprint intervals up the room, run backwards back down the room, jump rope intervals, and just all around basically no breaks.

I'm extremely happy I was very very mindful of nutrition this morning. It had to help a lot....there's no way that even 6 months ago I'd have been able to finish that workout. Hell, I'd have died halfway through! Hahaha....

I wont say I sailed through, but I did pretty ding dong darn well. I did pretty much fail the very last set, but it was totally justified. I swear!!

Son just got home and wants computer, and I need shower so I'll be back asap to show off my mad skillz...bwaahaha.

ow my quads.

Yes, but it would still look like practice for a specific event which is terribly one sided. :D Also, I still hate the commercial.

It's actually kind of creepy, but cool. There are several around the gym and being extremely camera shy I'm not at all used to seeing myself. It's so weird.

This is so awesome! I'm proud of you.

Thanks! I thought about the whole session later and remembered I used to get my stomach in knots before a session last summer because he's BRUTAL! Yesterday I never gave it a thought...that's how far I've come since then. And I kept it up through what ended up being over an hour. Quitting...giving in....giving up...never even occurred to me. The dynamic was really interesting in that respect.

Today, on the other hand..

Oh.

my.

doms.

Know what I found out today? Movement is not actually essential to survival. No, really...other than crawling to the bathroom, or reaching for the phone to text hubby (who is in the next room...because to yell the request uses abs...and they hurt too.) to bring more coffee, it's really not necessary. ;)

Little bit spent the night at her grandparents house last night, which always means very little sleep (since her cousins also spend wednesday nights there...) for her. She came home this morning, got back in her pj's and we snuggled in bed for a while watching cool kid cartoons. I dozed off a little, and she fell asleep hard. She's still sleeping! It gave me an excuse to take it really easy this morning, because while I might have exaggerated slightly above, I am quite sore today. :D Also I have this weird, painful twinge in my big toe...like it's in the tendon or something. It'll pass, but it stings a bit now.

Today is my rest day. However, I have a very full day tomorrow and I'm torn on whether to go crank out cardio and then take tomorrow off, or just keep tomorrow straight up cardio, and shorten an early saturday workout. I am really pretty jelly-bodied today though. Ugh. Decisions. I think I'll have time tomorrow...just later in the evening.

But here's something else. Yesterday was a total body thing, so my arms and shoulders are pretty twitchy now. Tomorrow is shoulders and arms. Should I just finish the week with some cardio blitz? (with new toy, this is no problem....haha) Then start the lifting sessions again on monday?

I will post yesterday's little nothing session (coughcough) in a bit...also meals. Because guess what?! The weight is coming down!! oh yeah...oh yeah...fear the bunny!

ahem....i said...fear. :D

So something is going right. I'm happy about that. Curious to see what fit me looks like. It's been a really really long time.

Oh, and since it's a rest day, it's just KetoCuts...and I'm going to mix up a 3 scoop Glutacene mocktail (glutacene in martini glass, for the uninitiated), after my coffee. When it's difficult to put on a bra the DOMS are more than an annoyance. I'm just sayin'.

Assess your level of soreness tomorrow and then decide. I don't mind working out muscles that are a little achey, but muscles that have full-on DOMS need to rest. And your DOMS will most likely be worse tomorrow than they are today.

This is my concern. I'm pretty stiff and sore today, and it's almost all upper body (which is scheduled tomorrow...). And I'm pretty sure it'll peak tomorrow. I think at this point, with time constraints, it's pretty much a given that tomorrow will be cardio only. I need extra cardio anyway.

But don't worry. I'll be sure to complain loudly tomorrow as well. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on my pain. :D

That said, I'm totally doing that workout again.

I am so late getting wednesday's blitz posted. Sorry about that. Thursday is me and kid day, and friday ended up being the same since MIL decided to crap out on me at the last moment. Ugh....

So here's what happened wednesday:

These exercises probably have names, but I'm not aware of them so I'll do my best to 'splain.

20 pushups to start

Using an Olympic bar and a few weight plates only, the rest of the workout:

One Arm Shoulder Press with Squat
2x#65x12

Split Jerk Press
2x#65x15 (one arm at a time)

Standing Front Press
2x#65x15 (both arms together)

Twisting Front Press (just....ow...)
2x#65x12

Lying One Arm Chest Press (Oh. my. hell.)
2x#45x12

Standing Row with rope pull (I officially freaking LOVE this one!!)
2x#65x15

Bicep Curls w/Squat
2x45x10 (which is actually 4x since I switched sides to give both arms dominance..ugh)

Bar Squats
2x75x15

Lunge Squat
ha! Was I dead by now? yup
1x65x10/10 (each leg.)

Didn't make the next set.

Oh, and between exercises I did sprints up the room, running backwards back across, jump rope, jump squats...you name it. And I did finish up with 25 minutes of cardio (warmed up with 5 minute run, so it was 30 total...)

So the way this worked was I was working with one end of the oly bar and the other end was resting on the floor, stabilized by a pile of mats. I'm sure you all know how that kinda thing works. It was pretty awesome, and very comprehensive. I'm still a bit sore.

Today is cardio. I'm determined to get it done, despite the lateness. My plan is by 4pm I'm there. Last night's storm knocked out our power about midnight. Kidlet HATES the dark, so we were up quite late...power was back by 3:30ish. Night was very late. Problem is that we all still have a bit of flashback to post Ike power issues so no one was settled at all. We slept in as much as possible. Day is 'off' now. But I'm shaking it off and we're getting it done.

So, once I finish here, I'm going to finish loading up Gibbs (whom I played with a LOT in the dark last night...heh heh) and get to it.

It's a really fun workout. I'm using it again later this week.

Today is legs and it was a really rough night in the bunny house (or hutch, i guess it should be...). Kidlet was all clingy and I was all sniffly because a friend's little one died over the weekend (AML) so I was all too happy to cling right back. I'm so tired right now I could melt onto the couch.

Plan is: Quick nap, then hit the gym...but keep it reasonable. Maybe low#/hi rep and not go all out on cardio....just so 1) I get it done and don't hate myself later, and 2) my legs are responding really well and can stand a little slacking once in a while.

Thinking about carb-cycling. Didn't do that great w/ lunch though. Body needs energy, and I had a bit of brown rice. S'ok though...always a work in progress.

No funnies at the moment....other than looking funny, which is normal really...but the bloodshot, and puffy eyes add a whole new element of wtf. I might be proud. :D

nap, lift, repeat. Wait. no. nap, lift, nap, sleep. Yes, that's much better.

Today's post has been brought to you by the letter Zzzzzzzzzzzz...

Today's workout was as lame as I thought it would be. But I didn't crap out! I went and did it despite being near dead.

6 NO Beta 20 before
Glutacene 3 scoops intra (with about 1/2 scoop creadyl which did nothing for me today)
Ketocuts 1 in am, 2 in pm (still loving these! No ill effects, and all goodness! I think I'm upping to 2/2 tomorrow. also, took them on an empty stomach a few days back. whoa!)

Workout was short and not very sweet...but better than nothing (and guilt for doing nothing)

Leg ext
3x45x15 (and i felt every. single. one.)

Lying leg curl
3x40x15 (not too bad considering this is a very weak exercise for me)

walking lunges
2x15x12 (nothing special)

Plie Squats (wide stance, coming up on toes at top of movement, then staying on toes last set)
3x35x15

Ball Crunches
5x25

20 minutes SS on trill. Absolutely dreadful. I mean...a 17 min/mile. Ugh.

A few thoughts I had today...and believe me, that was painful. :D One, I really want to get new rollerblades. I used to love it, and really got my rear view shaped up. And I am looking into a bike, as well. Time to let up and be a kid again. I've been grown up long enough.

Another thing I realized today...and this is a big deal for me....I noticed some VERY positive changes in the aforementioned rear view. I was getting ready for a shower so there was nudity. Sorry about that. BUT, I realized that things don't look as bad as they did, and maybe not even as bad as I thought...and that I don't think I'll be as compelled to get too thin because I finally figured out that I don't HAVE to be a stick to be 'pretty'. I can be not un-pretty and be fit with an actual figure! I have spent a long time hating myself and my body (fat or thin...sadly). At no time do I remember feeling comfortable with it. I think it's finally sinking in that there's no black and white about this...there's no specific 'look' that I have to try for. I can truly just try to find ME, and learn more about me as I go along. It's finally becoming clear, and interesting to see what emerges from here on out. And I think I might finally not be afraid of that, and I might finally truly believe I CAN get there...because there is much less scary, much more attainable, and much more natural than I ever realized.

Basically, I didn't hate what I saw in the mirror. Shocking. And made me feel all warm and fuzzy. But that could have been the steam from the shower.

Trust me. All that made perfect sense in my head. Even with the echo.

Oh, and I must add: A great deal of that self realization has come from the absolutely beautiful ladies that I've gotten to know here. I idolize you all, you know....(and stalk, but it's ok. I brought almonds.)

Whoa. Thanks y'all!! I should have deep thoughts more often, huh! :D I do feel different now, somehow...it sounds cliche' but I do feel like I let go of a big bit of junk I'd carried around in my psyche a looooong time. I wont say I'm strutting yet, but it's there. And I could. I just wont yet. Not til the jiggling isn't in danger of shifting tectonic plates. ;)

I still want to get back into ballet classes for fun and recreation one day, but I'm certain it won't restart old habits and problems now. I won't see things the same way. Also I'll have way stronger legs.

Today it's chest/back/cardio(of-effing-course). I'm thinking of totally revamping my split though...something efficient, but quick. Need to get some research done. I love the long sessions, but they're difficult with this silly family that seems to 'need' mom every 2.5 microseconds.

Also, I'm researching keto and thinking about giving it a go. I've done VERY low carb before and after a few days I felt great. Lost a crapload in the first 2 weeks, too. (then kidlet #3 surprised us, and no more of that....sigh) Hubby loves the idea of more meat (i think that's weird, but whatever), so he's supportive. I just need to get more informed about it before I dive in. Macros, etc...timing...the works.

I'm sure there was more, but I can't remember what it is right now and I'm anxious to get up and moving since I'm free from offspring all day and can do what-ever-i-want. Wheee!

so naturally that means gym, then maybe a manicure. hah. Then later? Zombies! Or maybe ghosts. I'm not sure. Then again, romantic comedy sounds good..."someone like you" or "how to lose a guy in 10 days", which btw, I have that amazing yellow dress in red, and it's way too small at the moment. It's my first goal dress. There will be pics when that happens. Oh yes. There will.

Creadyl time. Tingles! Buzz! (oh yeah, and 2x2 on ketocuts today. i'm sure there's a little extra zing going on now....)

Zing is my new favorite word. It's replacing "You may have already won...", which I know is a phrase but if you think about it, Zing could really be a stand alone sentence. Which makes it even cooler somehow. Besides, I never won anything. It's time to move on.

Jessie Spano is a dorky character from a dorky 90s tv show called Saved by the Bell. She got hooked on caffeine pills and went all crazy-like. Then she freaked out and sang "I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so....so...SCARED!" like a little girl. It was classic. I still laugh about it.

I've been watching it unfold. So exciting!!

Yesterday's workout blew. It was only barely ok. And some numbnutz decided to use MY treadmill! I hate that! Hubby wanted to go out last night since the little one was sleeping over at granny's and the boys were out. So we went for....of course...mexican. I did pretty well. Grilled ckn tacos al carbon. Tossed the tortillas (no, really. I tossed 'em. Like a frisbee. Had to apologize to a table of old ladies on their 3rd mucho grande margaritas. I did it in pig latin, too.*). So chicken, that little bit of lettuce, some pico, and yes, I had a margarita and chips with salsa. Meh.

Then he picked up some stuff to make a few more at home. (i made mine with straight up lime juice and a bit of raw sugar....at least there was that)

Do I have to say I didn't feel super this morning? I didn't think so. Lots of water today...and sunglasses.

It's a rest day anyway, so whatever. I'm jumping back on the wagon. In fact, due to circumstances in the in law family (meaning my mil is being a b*tch and my sil and her idiot hubby are far more important than anyone else so all must be dropped when they call...) I have the kidlet tomorrow all day. What this means is a VERY early wakeup call so I can get an early workout in.

I'm not a morning person.

It's ok though. I've kind of wanted to give this a try, and since we're not thrilled with the family situation I'm not bothering to depend on them to do what they claim they're gonna I have the chance to try out a totally new schedule.

The cool thing about it is I'll get it out of the way, no excuses, and I've always wanted to be one of those jump out of bed types who get going and just go go go always smiling and happy and stuff. You know...crackheads. ;)

No I kid. I really would like to be more like someone who has that motivation and drive to be moving at stupid o'clock every morning. I admire them! I don't understand them at all, but I do admire them. And now, I can study them and learn their ways...a whole new set of people to stalk!! Woohoo!

Ok, I have a very rare moment where EVERYONE has gone out for a bit and I have the house to myself. So it's time to get the white button down shirt on, and turn up the radio!

Where's my air guitar......

*ps, i totally made that up about tossing the tortillas. but it would have been pretty epic if i had, yes? ;)

WOWZA .... when you post ... YOU POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Remind me never to eat Mexican with you ... :p

How are you feeling today??

Zing! Boys never get it. They just don't. Mine always look at me like I've grown a third head...it's when they don't that I worry something is wrong.

And hey! I'm a blast in mexican restaurants! I can even order drinks in Spanish...and ask where the bathroom is. You know...the important things. :D

Today I got myself up really early so I could get the workout in at the start of the day. I'm trying to get my internal clock reset. It isn't easy. Ugh. BUT, I did enjoy the workout, and I worked hard. It was shoulders and arms, and I threw extra sets in when I didn't feel I'd worked hard enough. (even coaxed a little extra out of the triceps, too. they were being pouty.) Will be on later to detail the workout. The numbers aren't that high, but I'll say this...incline bicep curls can be very effective with only 10lbs if done reeeeaaaaallllly slow and steady.

Weird thing, I woke up really alert and all, but by noon I was crashing. What's that about, huh?

Oh, yeah, I suppose I can ramble on now and then. It's really unusual since I'm quite shy and reserved. Normally you can't get me to talk without waterboarding (or snowboarding....). ;)

A few days at crackhead speed has me wiped out big time today. Thanks a lot all you crackheads. :D

I've been crazy busy with things this weekend. Most importantly, my little 5 yr old got her ears pierced!! She decided she wanted them done on friday evening, and yesterday we went and got them done. She didn't even flinch! What a champ! I have pics.

And oldest male child went to his second prom. He's a college frosh, but his gf is a HS sr. So he went to her prom last night. They have this great after prom thing with the school and it's all night. He got home about 9 this morning. They have a blast, but he's crashing hard now. Haha! Wimp.

In other news, I didn't work out yesterday, or today. No biggie, cuz I did run run run around after a bunch of little ones yesterday...in the 1000 degree heat and air so humid you could swim in it. Not exactly a good time. Heh. Also I didn't take any Ketocuts yesterday or today because friday evening I had some pretty bad aching going on. It could have been lack of water, since I'm pretty certain I didn't drink nearly enough, but historically this happens to me on fat burners. Usually it's right off, and I am still optimistic it wasn't the ketocuts...but if it is... *sigh* I'm going to cut back tomorrow and make very sure I hydrate and see how it goes. I do NOT want to have to let go of this...

I do need to post friday's workout because it was pretty darn cool. I haven't forgotten. Just trying frantically to get house things done while I have a chance. And I need to keep my meals posted as well. I need every bit of advice I can get.... :)

Ugh, and now I must run to placate a whiny child who wants to push her will on everyone. (no, i don't mean me....hmph)

Back later with posties for everyone, and some fun workout related info!

Oh, I remember taking my daughter (almost 22) to get her ears pierced the first time!
She cried ... hard .... lol AWESOME little trooper your mini me is !!!

Don't you LOVE the idea of the overnight prom parties at the school?

The after parties are such a great idea. I wish we'd have had such wonderful things back in the day. This school gives out amazing prizes to the seniors. Last year it was at the school, but this year they had a lock in at Dave & Busters. Cool huh.

Had a good workout today. Really tough.

Squats
1x45x10 (Warm up)
3x95x12

Leg Press/Calf Press
3x140x12

Walking Lunges
2x15x20

Plie Squats
4x35x12

Ball Curls
3x12

Abs
3x25x25

Hanging leg raises
2x15

Then I did the first week intervals of C25K. I nearly lost it. Good times.

Bad news though. I think I may have to withdraw. I'm having that really bad back pain again. Stayed hydrated and cut back to half what I was taking and it happened anyway. Unfortunately this has always happened with thermo/fatburners but since it didn't happen in the first week or so I thought I was safe...

I'm bummed. Well, more than bummed. My sponsored log will be closed out in the next few days as I just finished off my last supp and now this.

Poop.

So it looks like I'll be slinking back to my humble little journal for now so I can kick my ass into shape for myself (which is important, of course, but....sigh). Hopefully you guys and gals will keep in touch a little, from time to time...maybe....please? ;)

I shall. And I'm not quite ready to give in yet. Gonna experiment with dosages etc....I don't want to let go of this! :D

Why don't you try to cycle off for a week and see how that goes?

I'm gonna do that, and start back slow. Hopefully I can find some amount that does work for me. It would suck otherwise. Me and fat burners...ugh. And I really thought I found one I could take for a goodly while. (like how i said that all amishy and stuff? goodly...hah)

I know I seem like I've backed off or something of late. It feels that way to me. I haven't been at the computer near as much as I normally would (which wasn't all that much to start with...) and I feel distant. It's not a bad thing because I've been spending time playing with kidlet, working out, reading (omg srsly!??), and generally getting things done. Feels good to be grounded in reality. I love hanging out with the lovelies here (and manlovelies, too...so you don't feel left out..) but I love feeling like my life is re-awakening, too.

Today hubby took a little time off from work so we could take kidlet blackberry picking! Same place we get strawberries. It was so much fun! Only minor bloodloss, too. Bonus! Soon they'll have tomatoes ready for 'pick your own' and then I can promise I'll be there every few days!

So we got back, and I sliced some turkey and grilled some bread for a fabulous farm style lunch. We got some super fresh veggies at the farm, too...including cucumbers! I'm not a fan of them to eat. I love the smell, I love to put slices over my eyes, but eating them has always been...meh. So I sliced some very very thin and put on our turkey sammich. OMG! It was amazing!!

Also got some green beans, red potatoes (to boil together. so good!), onions, avocado, tomatoes....if they'd had any good corn on the cob I'd have gotten that, too. I think tonight might have to be a veggie night. *drool* *thud*

Got a few pics. I'll pull those off the camera in a bit. Kiddo wants to play and she's being a pest about it. Heh.

Today is cardio. Boring, boring cardio. SS boring boring cardio with a side of boring. *sigh*

It's ok. I'll live. Podcasts!! I has them!

So to sum up. I'm not out yet. I hope not to be. I will find some way. I will I will I WILL!!! Dammit! :D

And berries.

Thank you, and please tip your waitress...

Count me in! I have a few ideas to work with and will think over it a bit.

Today I have chest/back and I am ready to feel great after this one! I hardly ever feel like I killed it, yanno? So I'm coming up with some good now. After weights I'm on to day 2 of c25k. Wanted to catch a yoga class later but kiddo has a thing at church this evening. Next week...

Oh and the run will suuuuuuck today because the legs are tired and sore. Nice! Gotta get that with upper now is all.

I have become a little obsessed with cucumbers. No! Not that way you pervs! I never liked them before, but loved the smell. Got some off the farm yesterday and I've been slicing them up into anything I can. Go bunny!

Back in a bit with proper replies and stats from w/o.

Workout today rocked!! I'm pretty happy with the series I did today....and the C25k was great!! I ended up adding one last sprint just because the time was off, and I wanted an even mileage at the end.

Happy bunny is happy.

Oh, also...anyone know much about Minnesota?

Wide grip pull ups
3x10

BB Bent over row
3x70x8

Reverse Flye
2x15x12
1x25x10

One Arm Row
1x25x12
1x30x8
1x35x8

DB Chest Flye on ball
3x20x12

DB Chest Press on ball
3x20x12

Overhead pull (also on ball)
2x20x10
1x15x10

Cardio was day 2 of Couch to 5k podcast with an additional couple of minutes sprinting at the end.

And I spent about 5 minutes stretching my legs. Wow.

Ok I've had issues really feeling like I worked my back which is why it looks like there was a lot of back work today. I was going for DOMS dammit. I'll get them. heh. I ended up cutting lat pulldowns because it felt like a lot...too much really.

The chest work looked easy on paper, and I wasn't sure it was going to be effective, but that stability ball adds a HUGE level of ouch-i-culty. Didn't need high weights to get it done, and I didn't need to do much to get abs worked either. The last exercise, the overhead pull thingie...the 20 was too high. 15 was just right. It took me a bit of work to get it right anyway...and I feel it all over. Pretty happy.

Taking a few days off all supps except glutacene since it's time to cycle off NoBeta for a bit. Still loving that wildberry...*droolthud* Almost time for a refill, too.

So right now I feel it in my back, chest and a bit in the shoulders...so I did something right. And my legs are thrashed even though I was pleasantly surprised I had no trouble at all keeping up with the program. Next week gets harder though. So I might eat my words. They better be low fat.

It's twisted how much all of a sudden I love cucumbers. I always loved the look of sliced cukes, and the smell...oh so fresh. But I couldn't stand the taste. Just the other day something clicked and I've thrown them in with everything. Weirdness.

I'm so sore today...haha. Everything aches. Not too bad, but enough that I know I worked out.

I just got your texts this morning. I left my phone charging in the car overnight. Hope the church even wasn't too taxing and you didn't end up drinking all the communion wine.

HAHA!! Omg, it went on...and on...and on. I was about to climb the freaking walls. These people thanked EVERYONE! I'm pretty sure they thanked their pets, their 3rd grade teachers...hell, I think even *I* got a thank you...it was boooorrrinnnng. So after we were starving. Seriously starving. Since of course we skipped the scary 'sketti' dinner. We managed to find a great mexican place (chain, but good) and had a bit of something not unhealthy. The wine went straight to my head though. Ugh...just craziness. Probably better than you left your phone in the car. LOL!

I feel your pain. I feel like I'm pretty MIA lately as well....and I don't have the awesomeness of roller derby as an excuse, either. :) Glad you're here!!

So yes, for now I'm not dropping. I'm going to work to get this right....I feel pretty sure I can figure it out. Well, I know I can...one way or another (i hate that song, btw...).

Today was crazy busy. Kiddo stayed at granny's all day so I took time to 1) sleep off last night's revenge wine and 2) clean the house. Three kids...two of them teenaged boys. You can well imagine...ugh. I almost called the CDC twice...yuck! Anyway, tomorrow will be even MORE busy. Kidlet and I trek to the groc early, then it's off to the gym for me...THEN a million little errands...I plan to try that sleep thing some time tomorrow night, too...but no promises. I WILL get that workout in.

Right AT is feeling a bit peckish now, so either I need shoes specifically for running (and not cross trainers) or some kind of extra shoe insert. Would that be from not stretching enough post run, or improper form? Any ideas? My right AT is very resentful of the dancing years, and gives me grief now and then even now so I'm not really sure wtf it's problem is. I buy it dinner now and then, and give it lots of attention. But it's still being a little bitch about things. *sigh*

Tomorrow is shoulders/arms/abs with final run of week one C25k. I hopefully will post those stats tomorrow night, but it might be saturday before I find my way back here.

Apologies for neglecting everyone's threads this week. I blame *Steve*. No reason, other than someone should blame something on him at least once a day.....

Could be your shoes, getting shoes fit for your foot specifically has done wonders for my 'runner friends'. I have yet to embark on that journey but I know I should. You could always visit a specialty store and let them check out your feet and form.

In the meantime make sure you're getting a good warm up before your runs and good stretching and you may want to ice it after each run.

In the meantime make sure you're getting a good warm up before your runs and good stretching and you may want to ice it after each run.Everyone should have a good shoe consultation at least once every 3 years. Most everyone pronates their foot, which will cause stress to your AT, as well as low back pain. There are inserts made for your foot type, as well as certain shoes that can help whatever foot issues you may have.

When I was running a lot, I always got my shoes from a certified runner's store, where the footwear consultants had some training in analyzing your needs. To do it properly, you'll need to take in your old footwear so they can look at the soles and see how you wear out the shoe.

HappySnowBunny
05-31-2010, 11:49 AM
I'll check out the shoe prospect. Mostly because any opportunity to buy shoes is a good one, but also that preventing injury thing....

I do think I figured it out though...because I took to sprints saturday, and had no issues. Wednesday night we had a thing we had to go to and I wore really high heels. I had run earlier wednesday, and that with the heels might have been too much. I was ok by friday.

So I've been lacking in updates lately like a lazy ass. I have been pretty crazy busy this weekend. Saturday I dragged hubby up to the gym and he worked out with me. That was fun. I ended up sprinting pretty high speed on the trill after the weights. Just felt that energy, yanno?

Today I did a killer leg w/o here at home (gym not open. losers.). Here's what it looked like.

40 forward lunges, no weight.
20 backward lunges, no weight.
Rest.
10 leg squats with weight.
5 squats (lower half only),
5 leg squats (top half only).
Rest.
5 each, single leg squats, no weight. (ended up being more skater squats really)
15 leg ext. with bands
15 pop squats.
Rest.
15 Glute Bridge Lifts.
15 seated hamstring curls. (with db and a spotter)
15 dumbbell deadlifts.
15 jump lunges.

ouch.

I realized something over the past few days. I haven't been paying much attention to what I've been eating. I've stayed in calorie range, but haven't been sweating the small stuff. And I lost!? Interesting.

I wonder if I've been over-analyzing too much and psyched myself out entirely. Probably so.

So I'm going to relax and just get it done instead of that mental hand wringing I think I've been doing.

Also, trying KetoCuts again tomorrow....so hopefully there are no issues because I do love this contest and would hate life in a big way if I have to leave it. But it is what it is...and I have a lot of incentive regardless. Still....fingers crossed. :D

Today is a very laid back day...we're grilling burgers and I'm just getting some things caught up. I just closed out my supplement journal so that's a little sad, but it was a lot of fun to do.

I'm actively looking for a bike now. I found a cute little girly one, but honestly I think I want a kinda badass one that I can take on trails if I ever live somewhere where that ARE any. Also, I want rollerblades. I love blading. Love!!

It's about a million degrees outside, and really humid. I hate summers in Tx. There may be some changes coming but I don't want to say much more because I might jinx it. Just keep good thoughts for a positive change, if you would.

Lastly, thank you for tolerating the texts about our new yard guest last night. You know who you are. ;) I'm pretty sure it's gone today, and hubby's out mowing the yard...so if it's not gone, it's in pieces. Either way, I can enjoy my backyard again. Stupid snake....

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Stress will definitely halt your weight loss progress. Just have fun with this. I'm still having a good time in the gym, and finding new things to do when I can...I've just not been able to get on here to talk about them as much as I'd like. I'm pretty frustrated by that, too. Kids keep taking over my computer. Little monsters. School ends this week so it could get more difficult, or easier depending on how often little one is visiting grandma/cousins/etc.

stress...heh. that's been high for the past few years. i'm ready for something good for a change. But that's another, very boring story. :)

and btw..... CONGRATS!!! You are awesome!!

Gonna make this kind of quick so I have time to visit everyone a bit, too...

First- Question 1. I have a sample of ketocuts, of which I still have a number of days left...so I am only just in the next week or so about to purchase a bottle. Hubby posed a good question last night....does my not purchasing ketocuts til now change my qualification?

Question 2. I'm cycling off NO Beta as per instructions. I think it's been 2 weeks now? Close to it...I'll have to look at my calendar. On the label it says to avoid any beta-alanine in the meanwhile. This includes Glutacene, betacene, and pretty much anything good I want to be on. *pout* So, um...is a 4 wk cycle off the absolute MINIMUM? or could I maybe keep my glutacene on the daily? (yes, i know...more than one question....complaint dept is over there ----->)

Question 3. I changed my weight to my new and improved (slightly but i'll take it...) number but it's not changed on my avie thingie. What gives?

I think that does it for today's quest for knowledge. Appreciation in advance, the check's in the mail.

Cardio today. I'm sore. It's gonna suck. :D

1. You're good. You had a sample, and that's just good for you. As long as you stay on the KC the entire time and can prove it (purchase records and/or proof that you got a free sample from us) then you're fine.

2. You can still do the Glutacene.

3. I have no clue. Mine didn't change either.

Dying at the moment but omg! I missed squats yesterday so I did them today before cardio. Last pr was 135. Now it's...150!!!

I smell really bad right now, and I'm starving but this comes first.

Woo and hoo!!

WHOOT!! WHOOT!!

1. You're good. You had a sample, and that's just good for you. As long as you stay on the KC the entire time and can prove it (purchase records and/or proof that you got a free sample from us) then you're fine.

2. You can still do the Glutacene.

3. I have no clue. Mine didn't change either.

Kewl!! to 1 and 2, and hmm to number 3. That's just perplexing.

Woo and hoo coming from the Central Kentucky region!!!!

*bows* I'm pretty happy with it. Ok, I'm REALLY happy with it. I'll hang out at this high number a while though. It's really a bit more than I can handle but I got 2 solid reps!! That totally counts!

You are teh AWESOMENESS!! Teh bunny musta been saying RAWR big time!! Woot :D

I did squeal a little...and a few people did look over, but the guy spotting me was huge, so he gave them a side eye and they went back to their own bizniz. :D

So as I mentioned I set a new PR on squats today. I didn't plan to, didn't expect to. In fact, I didn't have anything but cardio on my schedule today. But since I didn't get to do them yesterday, and I have a sick love affair with them, I decided to give it a go. First set was my w/u...#45 just to grease the wheels. (I'm pretty damn sore from yesterday's fun in the glutes and quads....). Then up to #95, #115, #125...and finally my former pr, #135. Well, that just isn't enough, of course...and I did have a spotter by this point....who did encourage me to go for it. I'd blame him if I'd failed, but I didn't so it's all me, baby!!

So 135 became #140 for about 5 reps, then #145, then BAMMO! Slap another 5 on there. I can do it!

2 reps is all I managed and I fought super hard for the second one, but I still did it! My knee didn't like it much so I'll work up to it a bit more slowly..heh.

Yes, I did squeal, and did a little dance. It was highly entertaining (if spastic, dorky freestyle is something you consider entertaining...).

Anywhosabadass....cardio sucked. I like cardio. But it sucked today. I tried running intervals but my legs were full of lead. I swear. Someone replaced my legs with something roughly the density/weight of the center of a black hole. I had nothing left. A brisk 30 minute walk (about 2.5 miles...not fast, but not slow either..and on an incline!) later, I was getting set to crawl out to my car..

no no no...not so fast....this guy who manages some of the PTs there approached me to offer me a free training session with this one trainer he thought I'd be a good match for..(um...yeah...the one I saw him giving a gym tour to earlier...her first time there...right). I politely say no thanks. He asked if I was a body builder (yeah, all 170 lbs of me...can't you tell? ugh). I had no response to that (that wasn't sarcastic...) so he urges me to consider a trainer. I told him I had one...but not at this gym. He urges me again to consider that one trainer. I say no thanks again. He goes on and on and by now I'm a little pissed because I was starving, tired, really sweaty and stinky and I hate repeating myself so I said not as politely but firmly "No thank you. I am quite happy with my current training situation. I will not be changing my mind, and I do not want to continue this discussion." Then I did a series of back flips and flip flops out the door, landing on the roof of my car, dove in through the sunroof and sped away while listening to the conveniently playing "Miami Vice" theme song.

Ok that last part was crap, but if I were the sort to make a big exit, I totally would have done that. (so my car doesn't have a sun roof....whatever.)

Probably more than you wanted to know about my day, huh....

Want to hear all about what I ate now? ;)

1 egg, 2 whites, fresh pico de gallo, wheat toast with ff cream cheese and cucumber slices (told you...obsessed!)

protein shake p/w/o

4 oz grilled ckn, 1/3 cup brown rice, pico, 1/4 c low fat cheddar (melty!!) and hot sauce

yogurt w/fresh blackberries (picked this morning..)

4 oz grilled ckn, wasabi w/ soy, onion, bokchoy, 1/3 brown rice, lots of red pepper (because I wanted chinese food SO BADLY tonight...) oh, and a whole egg scrambled. So yummy!

That's it for now...unless I think of something I forgot, forgot to make up, or need bail money. :)

I'm feeling it today. Ouch.

I'm having a bad day today. Just cranky and grumpy with a side of ugh. A lot of doubts are creeping in and I feel really unsettled where yesterday I felt motivated and inspired. Not even sure I want to get into it because I know it's mostly this mood I'm in, and I know it'll pass...but the selfish part of me wouldn't mind an ego boost right now.

Le sigh.

I hear that! WO rollercoasters just generally suck the life from us. And thanks! I really wish I *were* kicking ass and taking names...but at the moment, I'm really only taking names....without a hall pass I might add. :D

My WO wasn't too bad, but my mood shur as ****e was. (typo, and i'm keeping it) I'm still not 100% but much better than yesterday. It was 'one of those days' to be delicate. I know it's a lot of things..I've been working really hard (not enuff results for my liking. grr), and probably not enough recovery time. Not enough sleep. And girl stuff doesn't help.

Good news is that I knew all that, and carefully kept away from things I knew would make it worse...the things I could control my exposure to, that is. I'm so easily bummed..hah.

It's been pretty difficult lately all around and it piled up. Hubby works from home so we're ALWAYS in each other's way. Sometimes that really blows chunks, too. Anyway his company is in MN and they keep making him travel up there all the damn time lately. There's talk of relo, which really doesn't bother me much (snow!!!!!!!!!!) but it's like...GET ON WITH IT ALREADY! Ugh.

And as far as that doubt stuff. You wouldn't believe how blunt I was being in my empty little head yesterday. It was mean. Really mean. I might not be talking to myself for a while, it was so mean. I mean, I know I have virtually no chance of actually winning this thing (i saw the folks who competed in the 09 challenge, and holy crap!! yeah...i feel pretty much out of my league here...), but that shouldn't stop me from giving it my best. Yesterday, however, it really really undermined what little bit of carefully cultivated confidence (say that three times fast after three shots of something flammable) I had. Even though logically I knew I was just in a crappy mood, logic doesn't sift out irrational demotivation.

So I had a little pity party (only a small one), and then I watched "So you think you can dance"...and had a BIG pity party.

Then I got up today and got my ****e back together.

/end dramatic retelling of pms drama

Yesterday was chest/back day, and historically it's my least favorite. (no, really? we have NEVER heard that before..) I planned it out so I would really hit everything and maybe get a bit of DOMS so I'd know I'd done something. Here's how that went:

BB Bench Press
1x45x12
2x55x12
2x65x12
(numbers were a bit low, so I threw in an extra set for extra credit)

Incline Chest Flye
2x15x12
1x20x12
(again...low #s but kept it slow and steady.)

Overhead Press on ball (can i say i really love these? hope so, cuz i just did)
3x15x12

BB Bent Row
4x50x12
(i like this weight because I can get a feel for form and by the last set am struggling with last 4 or 5...especially with very short breaks btwn sets)

One Arm Row
1x30x12
2x25x12
(bad form on the 30s...dropped back to do it right)

Lat pulldown (wide grip)
1x50x12
1x60x12
1x70x6
1x60x6
(obviously 70s kicked my ass...)

Pushups
2x15

Ball Crunches (just cuz i wanted to)
3x25

then 30 mins on treadmill with random sprint intervals depending on song. My sprints are getting faster, and easier...and my walking speed is faster as well.

Today is rest day, but we'll see. I have spent some down time this morning, and I'm really quite tired and sore so it's probably a good idea to force myself to rest. My legs are still screaming from their beating earlier this week. (good legs. gooooood legs!) Maybe I'll take a nap, then watch movies only I'll watch while petting Nemo.

How can you be so self-depricating and funny all at the same time? And I feel your pain, sista. The past two years or so have been hard as hell for my husband and me. And lately, it has really just gotten to me. I've been doing the pity party thing, too, and it sucks. And I've talked really ugly to myself, and I believe that me, myself, and I have broken up for a bit. The threesome thing was really hard to maintain, anyway.

But the thing that pisses me off the most is how my food intake follows my mood. When I'm pissy (and I seem to be pissy more than my fair share lately) I eat like a farm hand. UGH!!! It's hard to give this my all when my brain is in la la land.

This may be one of the best logs I've ever read. Your honesty and candidness are very refreshing. As far as being in the running for this contest, don't sell yourself short. Don't compare yourself to anybody else, and just bust your butt every single day! You will be amazed at the results! I look at it this way: Win Each Day (WED) - Kind of like you are marrying that day and gonna make it the best day ever (just like your wedding day hopefully)! Haha.

Looks like you had a great workout yesterday, and enjoy your day off, and STAY AWAY FROM THAT CAT!!!! Haha.

I'm sorry...I do know all too well what that's like. Pity parties can be downright painful, too...and there never seems to be enough appetizers to go around, either. Stupid threesomes. I love the idea of Win Each Day. I'm going to keep that one in my mental toolbox (next to my mental sledgehammer that i use to beat up the voices when they get too loud).

Aww, that kitty is a sweetheart. He just looks rawr cuz I woke him up to take his picture. He's my bottle baby. His tramp of a mother birthed him and several siblings under a shrub in our front yard then took the others, but left him behind. I think it was because he was so fierce. He was maybe 5 days old when he was abandoned. So we took his scrawny butt in, and I bottle fed him....and now he ignores me just like any other teenager would. Ahh motherhood.

Funny story about Nemo....we found him the year before we had surprise baby #3 on the way. I was up every few hours feeding him, and taking care of his other needs (don't ask...trust me on that) and it was like having a baby all over again. Funnily enough, it ended up being practice for another kidlet!

Weirdest part, Nemo is omen spelled backwards. And what an omen it was.

He's almost 7 now. I have another kitty who's about 15 so....

I am trying to refresh that mentally motivated mindset. It's a bit slow to charge up but I'll get it. I'm thinking about getting "win every day" on a rubber bracelet to keep me focused when the most difficult parts of this plan arise.

Today I have shoulders/arms which is always tough and leaves immediate signs of work...which I like. Cardio may be weak today. I'm so sore. I don't remember what it's like not to be sore all over anymore.

There's more to say but I'm on the itouch since a kid is on my comp...and this is a pain to type on. Heh. Back later with solid ramblings and balloons for the kids.

Win or lose this contest, it makes no difference. You are winning every single day. You are kicking your own a$$ into shape (a pleasing shape, mind you) and you should be so SO proud of yourself!!

Today's workout kinda sucked, but kinda didn't. I wanted more strength, and it wasn't there. I was low on glutacene, and didn't remember I have Betacene til I was already into the w/o. Also I decided to be lil miss sessy today and wear a tank top and some cool cargo w/o pants i have instead of my usual way oversized tee and bikey shorties. I felt weirdly exposed and didn't like looking in the mirror much. Also the pants...I haven't worn them in a while. Would have been helpful to know they're too big. During cardio I kept having to hitch them up...not pretty. Not. At. All.

In my head I'm much more fit and cute, so the mirror must be lying. That has to be it.

Anyway, today:

Shoulder Press
3x25x12

BB Bicep Curl
2x30x12
1x40x10

Tricep Bench Dip
3x12

Incline DB Bicep
3x15x12

Lat Raise
2x10x12
1x15x12

Skullcrushers
1x30x12
1x40x10
1x40x12

So I did this is sets...shoulder, biceps, triceps...and repeated. Are those giant sets? I forget. Or maybe I never knew. Anyway, short short breaks (prllly why strength was crap) and it went by really fast. I felt a bit noodly so I know I did ok...I think it was the time spent that threw me.

Cardio was cardio. Intervals, but no set time. I'd run for a while, then walk a bit, then walk really fast, then slow and raise incline to ceiling, then drop back and sprint a little. Pretty disjointed and crazy, but again, went by super fast. I felt like I was in and out in no time but it was just over 90 minutes.

So not bad.

I'm already behind on calories. I'm fighting letting that go and keep the cals low, but I know that's a bad, bad thing. So I'm off to make something for a late lunch.

oh, also, strength issue. I dropped carbs way low a few days ago. That's probably not helping either.

Feel free to throw tomatoes at me now. :D (no really...cuz I'm out of tomatoes....)

HSB and I PM weird stuff to one another.

Oh, btw, Ms. Bunny, the toothless mechanics sage advice on dating went something like this:

If a girl sleeps with you on the first date, she's a whore. Plain and simple. I'm not saying you shouldn't sleep with a woman on the first date. But just know. . . she's a whore. And do you really want to spend the rest of your life with a whore? That's why, if you go out with a girl, and you think that there's any chance that you might like to spend more time with her, you shouldn't put yourself in a situation where sex might occur. Because, let's say you do F**K her on the first date, and then you fall desperately in love and marry her, you'll spend the rest of your life knowing that you married a whore.

HeLLO ~~~~~~ :D

How goes the weekend HSB???

It was a boring enough weekend. I cooked a lot of pre-portioned meals, labeled and froze some, and have some ready for quick use from the fridge. Tried to bargain with hubby about his upcoming trip, had some wine, and generally vegged out. Progress was made in research and development (i read some back issues of my magazine collection and cooked healthy stuff...hah) but very little otherwise. Kids around. Lots of them. All the time. Ugh!

I did make what was probably the best meat loaf ever. Lots of good stuff in it, too...oatmeal, flax seed...lots of mustard...yum. If I could have figured out a way to get some glutacene in there....maybe with ground chicken having an asian flair and the orange glutacene. Hmmm..... *gets evil scientist notebook*

I admit it is a way better theory, however I still maintain it's very poor form to drink motor oil from a can on the first date.

...and the whole scenario makes me giggle.

Today was all about legs. Namely my short, stubby, but weirdly strong legs. Pretty standard w/o. Keeping my favorite large muscle killers, and adding different things here and there for balance, but I'm about ready to restart my initial program split in another few weeks. So this could get really scary soon. ;)

Squats
4x115x12

Some yutz didn't bother racking their weights so I didn't bother UNracking them since it's a pretty ok number for me. I didn't take a warm up set, so I didn't increase either...because the reason idiot before me didn't unrack is that the stupid springs were too tight and a pain in the ass to get off the bar. I felt pretty good at that number though. I was keeping great form, and I feel it all along the backs of my legs into my butt as opposed to mostly in quads. Unlike Rude McLazy though, I put the weights back after considerable negotiation with the springs.

Leg Extension
50, 60, 70 x12

after each set i did a set of 5 pulses at the top of the rom for extra pain. I do not like these. But I feel them.

Walking Lunges
2x15x20
(love/hate)

Ball Curls
2x12
(hate/hate)

SLDL
4x50x12 (on box for hyper)

Lower number than an oly, but I'm ok with it. I fatigued pretty fast as it was. slow and steady does it to me every time.

Plie Squats
3x45x15

Treadmill- lots of running. More than ever I believe. In fact, most of it was running. Not super fast but for someone who used to despise even the idea of running, who would not run from a homicidal maniac unless he were holding an axe and even then it still depended on several other made up details, I think the speed was irrelevant. It's always exciting to note at the end of an interval how GOOD that felt! I might just get the feel for longer distances yet. Also, the calorie burn rocks.

So nothing super exciting today. But still a good burn.

In the next couple of weeks I will be needing to move the w/o to home for a few days. Not a problem with weights, but cardio presents a bit more difficulty. I have a little list of interval thingies....but sustaining them for 30 minutes?! Hmmm....

So i have:
Lunge Jumps-which i hate passionately
Squat Jumps-which i like
Jump Rope
Burpees
Jumping Jacks-boring, but...
Mountain Climbers

Any other thoughts? Ideas? It's possible I could make it to gym for a half hour but I need a backup plan....just in case.

And now for the important stuff!

Will be restarting NO Beta next week. Numbers will rise, PRs will fall, and men will quiver and run in fear of teh bunny rawr! (you know that last part is totally true, too...but for different reasons...)

I've been back on Keto since saturday, and knock wood...but no issues yet! I took one twice daily yesterday and I'm staying there for now. Will be needing to place an order this weekend....because while Orange Glutacene is quite tasty, like a dreamsicle, it's just not Wildberry and I NEED wildberry. Like I need air. Or chocolate protein shakes. Or a shower.

Speaking of:

What does Bunny have in common with three day old pork sausage covered in mustard left out on a counter in summer, with no a/c running?

They both smell really....really bad.

I think it could totally work! :)

Today is cardio. Long. Boring. Cardio. On sore legs, no less. So that means.....podcasts!! I have so many podcasts waiting to be listened to I could probably walk from here to Dallas and still not finish. Ok maybe not that far....

Keto this morning (empty stomach. woot! zing!) Glutacene a bit later.(ahh...)

Which reminds me. Question. (said in best dwight shrute voice) Should I be rating my supps daily? I see this in a lot of other journals and I just wondered.

And lastly for now, I want to thank everyone who keeps coming here to read my marginally coherent ramblings, and for the support, encouragement and just all around good vibes. (and poo on the ppl who unsubbed and left. i know i'm boring but sheesh...)

I'm borderline cranky today so I'll keep quiet until I straighten up. I promise. :D

No cranky zone here, girl! Haha. I don't think you have to rate your supplements every single day, but it would be nice for others to see them rated on a regular basis at least.

And....I like your ramblings. Very entertaining!

Ok, moar ratingz. Got it. :D

haha yea

hows the ketocuts working?

Since I adjusted dosage it's going much better. I took one about a half hour before cardio today and I was off the hook!!

I didn't plan it that way, I swear. But it was a bit crazy in the gym, from my perspective. My legs are still tired from yesterday, and I'm just tired in general...so I expected a half hour to be pretty difficult.

HA!

An hour later, I seriously considered seeing how long 5 miles would take me. If I had the time, I probably would have tried. It was just over 3.5 miles...so not too fast. Started out pretty painful though. Once I warmed up I was at a really good clip. I think the keto might have given me a little bit of extra umph when I needed it there. (or maybe the imaginary crack i pretended to smoke in my imaginary outdoor sauna with my imaginary friends...but you never know. my imaginary friends are such liars it probably wasn't even real imaginary crack anyway)

I felt really good hitting that hour. I have to be careful though...I could push that further each day til I'm hours and hours on cardio just sweating away to drop the fat. I have that tendency. Though I will admit I'm thinking of really upping cardio to cut more for the next 9 weeks or so...(I think that's how much I have left. Might be closer to 8...).

Other than that, today is done. It was a non lifting day so I'm chillin. About to get dinner going....and I would kill someone with my bare hands for a margarita...but *sigh* I'm being all good and crap. Whatever.

:D

Guess who just climbed down into a storm sewer and crawled around to try and get a kitten out?

Rain boots, tuna in a pouch, a mag light, and a ladder. And I'm scared of heights, ladders, etc. It was crazy. Kitty is still down there, safe and unharmed. Just really really pissed. Hsus is coming so I may get to crawl around even more. Yay.

Nooooo! No moar kittehs for me. I have three. We all tried really hard for over an hour to coax the little monstar. Me on one end of a tunnel and another neighbor on the other end. About 15 people standing around watching and trying to figure something out. It was an eventful evening. Sitting here in my bed with little bunny trying to get her to sleep before animal rescue gets here.

I cannot believe this is how my day is ending. Never climbed down into a storm drain before. Lol

Kitten is still there. We're calling around to see if anyone can help....I may have to go rent a humane trap later and give that a try but then I get stuck with a damn cat I don't want or need. Ugh.

Hopefully AC will be coming out within the hour and we can get something figured out. I've been down there already twice today. My hands are scattered with scrapes and cuts, and my back and legs are SCREAMING.

All in all, not a bad day. *thud*

She's mostly grey, but has definite dilute calico markings. Yep, it's a girl. She's about 4 or 5 weeks old, has a big bump on her forehead, really shaky, thin and tired. But she's fed, warm and dry, and slept a lot on a heating pad next to a little beanie buddy.

HappySnowBunny
06-09-2010, 05:50 PM
Heh...I look positively goofy in a cape, so probably no 'super' for me. Although I do work tights rather well...hmmm.

So here's the scoop. This'll be a long one (that's what she said) so fair warning.

We tried til pretty late last night, and the AC guy finally showed about 12:30, and told us there wasn't anything that he could do. No surprise. Just sad and frustrating.

I didn't sleep too well, or too much. We got on the phone early today to see if anyone could help. No luck. Nothing. And the weather was about to turn really bad so it wasn't looking too good for the little mite.

One of the neighborhood girls went crying to her daddy, who's kind of a badass...drives a tow truck, has many crowbar/tire iron/ i don't want to know what that metal tool is used for kinds of things. Naturally, daddy's girl got him to come help out. ;) He was able to locate kitten in the tunnel between two manholes...so I crawled down into one, and he in the other with kitten in the middle.
http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL704/3929307/23153226/388330204.jpg(i had no idea my hair was that weird color. will be changing it immediately)

http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL704/3929307/23153226/388330208.jpg (big hearted guy...altogether now...awwwww)

She wasn't moving so someone suggested a water hose to force her to move towards one of us.

As if it wasn't bad enough having been in the wet tunnel all night...right? Now I insult the poor thing with water spray....but it worked! She ran the other way, and he scooped her up, and there you have it. She hissed and spit quite a lot. Tried to bite, scratch...terrified. I wrapped a towel around her and put her in kitty crate and we got everything put back. My son took kitty in our house and put her in the bathroom so she could calm down. We must have been quite a sight outside. Pulling ladders out of the holes, covered in crud and spiderwebs, waterhose pulled across the road. Yeah, just another day in suburbia. But she was safe, and we were all relieved.

http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL704/3929307/23153226/388330206.jpg

And not a moment too soon, either. It was starting to rain while we were still in the pipes, and several moments later it started pouring. The water in the tunnel was up to her little chest already. The added rain would have probably killed her. She's already exhausted.

Also, spiders. Black widow spiders. I. Hate. Them.

Anyway, she's warm and dry, well fed, and MUCH calmer. Very quiet, but I imagine all that hollaring she did all night has soured her on meowing for a while. She has a big bump on her forehead, so I'm thinking she fell in. Eyes are equal, and she seems alright...wobbly of course, but I don't see anything to be too concerned about. Since she obviously survived this far, any head injury danger has probably passed. I hope so anyway.

http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL704/3929307/23153226/388328653.jpg

I do hope she doesn't surprise us and die suddenly, but she's so little and went through so much that it's a possibility. Fingers crossed.

That's basically it. I thought about doing something really clever, like a post game report or something, but I'm too tired. My whole body aches. No workout today...well, at least not at the gym anyway. But it was worth it.

Tow truck daddy is camera shy. But he's really really nice. We likey. My boys aren't really all that impressed. Ok, maybe a little when I kept squishing spiders and saying 'sh*t" over and over.

And her name is still somewhat in the air. Alex wants to call her Tricky, which is cute, but Abby wants something lame like Princess or Sprinkles (of which I refuse to give in). I rather like DB. So we may compromise with Trixie. Who knows.

I know I've badly neglected everyone the past day or two, and in fact I need to go back and answer a few things here I missed from last round even....it's difficult to type with needy furball in the way. And she is needy. Unlike me, so independent and self supportive. *snort*

Today was chest and back. I'm operating on 2 nights of very little sleep. So you know strength was at a premium today.

Ketocuts was pretty much the only thing that kept me going today. Well, that and the No Beta I popped before w/o. I'm not really ready to cycle back on, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. I'm off my schedule already and I don't want to get even more screwed up. Tomorrow is in the air as it it. Ugh.

So ketocuts this morning, then 4 NO Beta 20 minutes before heading to the gym. It helped. In fact, I'm sure I would never have made it at all without the supps. Even still, it was pretty much a wash.

HammerStrength Chest Press
3x50x12
1x60x12(i fought for every damn one of these...it was not easy)

Bench Chest Flye
3x15x12 (not much weight, but I still suffered. meh)

Overhead Press on bench (much better on ball...)
2x15x10 (felt really off, so I cut this one short. too much potential for injury)

BB Bent Row
4x60x12 (not too bad, and slightly higher than my wimpout weight...so overall I'm pleased)

Lat Pull down (wide grip)
2x50x12
1x60x12 (this? sucked)

Pushups- 20

Bench V Ups
3x15

Cardio- 20 minutes treadmill at 3.8

I'm not thrilled, but I'm so glad I did it anyway. Numbers aren't really that bad I think...especially as tired as I am.

Glutacene tasted strangely delicious today (orange). I'm still ordering wildberry tomorrow but I felt a kinship with my orange this time out.

I'll do an official rating thingie next time. Right now I would not be a good judge of the finer points...other than the energy and focus was greatly needed.

On the furrier side of things, kitten is doing well. She was up a lot last night, so I ended up holding her a good deal of the time. At just over 1 lb, and probably no more than 4 weeks old there's still a lot to do for her. (btw, the SPCA would have euth'd her since she's under 2 lbs and younger than 2 months...did I already mention that?) But she's eating well, and sleeping well so I do hope to get a bit more sleep tonight. (napped this afternoon for a little bit so I feel less like dropping. hah) I have a few new pics of her, and I really should get a video of her 'attacking' the dog. Hilarious!

That's all I have for now. Apologies for my one sidedness at the moment. Again, throw tomatoes. (i'm all out again...thx)

Oh, and I'm changing my hair color this weekend. I don't like this weird bland reddish thingie color it is...so blonde? Or really dark brown? So many choices. I know! Dark Blue! :D

Kitten talk! Haha, the kitteh has a fan club! She's doing really well. Shockingly easy to socialize, and very playful. Ok, I know kittens are far more interesting, and indisputably cuter, but here's a little update on me.

Got my ketocuts ordered, so it looks like I'm in for the duration! (knock wood) This week presents some very different challenges. I will not have the gym time I've been enjoying normally. Chances are I will not be able to make it at all, and if so, I'll be saving cardio for that (since my cardio equipment is meager). If not, I will be finding a way to get it all done....or maybe just taking a much needed rest week. (no, i wont. i know i wont...)

My plan is....as lame as this sounds....to record some good stuff on Fit TV to get heart rate up, and do a changed up 3 day split. I figure if nothing else, it is a new program which may shake everything up just right...and it's not set in stone that I'll be completely unable to get time in the gym.

I'm strangely not at all worried about it, either. Kind of looking forward to the scramble.

Speaking of, I made the best crustless quiche yesterday morning! Green pepper, onion, red pepper flakes...omg. YUM! A bit of mozzy chz on top. It was like cheating! That will find it's way on my brekky plate again. And soonly.

Hopefully I'll catch up on a bit of sleep tonight before hell week begins so I can hit it hard with home program 2.0 (now with extra demotivation. offer limited while supplies last. batteries not included. some assembly required.)

I still owe some rounds, replies and general bunny love. Fear not. It's there. I'm thinking about you all (sometimes nake...wait..what?) and missing what we had. It was a good thing, right? Right?

why you laughin?

Thanks. She adores the kitten...which is cute, and problematic...heh. This week is shaping up pretty badly, as a matter of fact. I'll survive and move on...I hope. ;)

How was your Monday HSB? :)

It was there. We were all so tired from an extremely early morning, a busy day, and an emotional goodbye for a few days that very little other than house cleaning and assorted necessities got done. Working out didn't happen. I hate that, but it is what it is. I hope to get at least some lifting tonight. Doesn't look good for cardio. I should be back on track friday though....so maybe I should treat this as a recovery week. How're you doing?

Actually, she kept me up til almost 2am, then up again at 4 (in a playing mood, of course). I had intended to get up early and get in some training, but it didn't happen. I tried sleeping instead.

So what's been happening is hubby is in Mnpls til thursday, and there's a chance we may get to relocate there. I'm rather hoping so. Winter sports would be a blast. :D Go Vikings! Also, this means there's one computer in the house...and the kids monopolize it. All. the. time. I have my handheld but it sucks to reply to posts on. So my time is quite limited for the moment, and I'm so tired. I may break the moratorium on the wine this evening. I'm really effing annoyed with everyone around me. I feel REALLY pulled in every direction by these kids...and of course the neighborhood kids are on my very last nerve as well. They have been by just today alone no less than 9 times to see if they can come in/abby can come out/add various annoying disruptions to kitteh nap here. I finally told them not to come back today. at. all.

angry bunneh can be scary. they haven't been back.

My oldest is being a butthead too. He's 'helping' with kid and kitten, but he's easily annoyed (and she's annoying as hell because her daddy isn't here) which is making everyone really pissy. Who wants to come pick me up for girls night out tonight? Any by tonight, I mean the rest of the week....

I know it's exhaustion. I don't sleep well when hubby isn't here anyway, and kidlet sleeps with me because she is missing him blah blah blah (and she hogs the bed, snores, and kicks...), and well, you get the picture. It's a bit....hectic. (by that i mean please kill me now.)

I'm giving up on making rounds at the moment. As it is, I'm stopping every 2 seconds to break up another argument, save kitteh from certain death from walking across the floor, explain that i don't need to know kitteh is walking across the floor...again, explain that it isn't necessary to say something, then tell me that you said something...complete with charade like visuals.

Did I mention the 'kill me now' part? I did say please...

*thud*

The good part is my heart rate is staying pretty high....and blood pressure...and there's this pounding headache completely unrelated to alcohol consumption...and my eye keeps doing this funny twitchy thing....

all in all, pretty normal here. Why do you ask? :D
