Hello, I have a question that is confusing me for a while, one of my relatives, wants to use a fat burner, but she has a high blood pressure and diabetes, and she is 50 years old. Is there any safe product for her to use ?. I have been looking around and I found out that Hoodia products are good with such conditions, but I am courious about Nutrex products (Lipo-6 and lipo-herbs and so on..).

Thanks.

Disclaimer: This is not health advice, and is just my opinion. Your relative should seek the advice of her doctor.

That being said, fat burners usually contain high amounts of various stimulants, and a side effect of most stimulants is increasing heart rate and blood pressure. Probably not a good thing for her. Plus there is no way to know what kind of interactions it would have with any prescription meds she may be on.

Fat burners are really only good for the last couple of really tough to lose pounds when your diet and training are already 110% in line. She would have much better success focusing on her diet and making sure it is where it needs to be. That would also be safer.

There are women in their 40's and 50's around here. Maybe post either here or over in the 35+ forum for some non-supplement tips.

Eat less and move more.... it really is that simple, regardless of someone's age.
