Just want to know your thoughts on stims while cutting like no xplode or USP jacked etc.. Also what do you think of Xtend for during workouts?

N.O. Xplode does contain some calories (40 per serving I believe) so as long as you are aware of that then I wouldn't see why not - they can provide you with the boost you need while low on calories.. especially on a competition diet.

BUMP on this - I know its an old thread of mine but instead of make a new one I thought I'd ask here.... My question is what is the macros for Scivations' xtend? I searched and couldnt finds this anywhere??

consensus seems to be a 5g serving (scoop) is 20cal 5gx4

Don't worry about the Xtend.

It's one of the best things you can take on a cut.

Okay cool. Thanks man. I only sip on 4 scoops throughout the day and 4 during training and I know some Xtend crazed people out there drink alot more.

Scivation reps will tell you that it's calorie free but the reality is that BCAAs and glutamine have 4 calories per gram just like any other amino acids, so one scoop = 20 calories.

Negative. Layne will even tell you it has calories, Tommy will tell you it has calories. The calories are so small the FDA does not count it. If you count calories, why not count EVERYTHING you take in? It comes down to how you want to skin the cat.

The bottom line is this: if you take the same amount of xtend everyday weather you count it or not it will not make a difference. You are utilizing the same amount of calories from the consistent dosage.

Ok I take 8 scoops a day total so I will count it as 120 cals and 30g protein????

8 scoops would be 160 cals and 40g protein

160 cals yes
40g protein no

40g BCAA =/= 40g complete protein

Check out my profile pic. Towards the end of that prep I was on about 8 - 10 scoops a day. There are more important factors to worry about; using Xtend isn't one of them.

its not that he's worried about it - its one of the best and most important supps on contest diet imo. if you count them then thats one less variable.

yes some people dont count them some do, whatever the case just remain consistent with whatever the approach
