The 6th (yes 6th) little one has arrived a bit early at 33 weeks weighing 5lbs 5 ozs. It has been a journey being on bed rest so long, then a very difficult delivery, running back and forth to the hospital every 3 hours for feedings for over a week and then finally having a new one at home. But well worth every second!

I have been released to start exercising so between feedings, running a household, running to activities (my teen Children's), running a business and on sleep deprivation, hopefully I'll inspire some new Mommies with a real life, achievable postpartum journal and not some fantasy plan someone wrote on how to get your body back (do these people have Nannies & chefs on hand .... come on!) and keep a good training log for my own reference.

The plan (and we all know what they say about best laid plans):
Slow and steady: I didn't get to this weight in a day and don't plan to lose it in a day either.
Listen to my body: not resting especially with little sleep or pushing too hard will sabotage my efforts

Goals:
Weight loss: Back to weight by July-August
Comps: Back on the competition stage by March of 2011 (one year from birth of my daughter).

Post Pregnancy Stats:
Height: 5’6” –(yeah I gained an inch confirmed by 3 doctors, and two hospitals after they did that work on my spin over a year ago … go figure!)
Weight: 159.5 lbs - yeah for bed rest? ugh!
Waist: 39.5” (Doc did say uterus is still shrinking … so this will go down fairly quickly, but 6 babies later is taking longer than previous)
Chest: 38
Hips: 41
Thigh: 24.5

Ready … set … go! :)

Thanks everyone!

My little gal has had quite the ordeal in regards to formula. I'm working with 2 lactation specialists in regards to breast feeding, but can only get 1ml (yes, that is 1 ml) per session. I BF my two prior successfully, but after 6 surgeries, 5 reconstructs after 1 botched, I may never be able to. I just figured even that little bit has to help. Anyway, she turns out to have a milk allergy (not just intolerance). So she is on soy gentle with some anise tea mixed in. Seems to do wonders for a colicy baby. So I was getting 2-3 hours sleep per night! eek! Now I get 6 (not in a row).

On to training:
Due to the severe sleep deprevation, I concentrated on diet and through in 4 cardio sessions per week. I felt weights while severly sleep deprived was counter productive and could result in injury. With that I am weighing in at 150 now!

Now that her sleep schedule is allowing me more sleep I have added weights, yay! I have decided that I am actually at a pretty good weight and would like to concentrate on building strength and size instead of dropping the rest of the weight (I truely think that will actually fall into place anyway). I can cut closer to comp.

Now..... I could use some input on supps: Like my daughter I can't do milk/dairy, so any of those are out of the question. My supps also have to be within guidelines for Natural Comp, specifically OCB. So .... input?????

Now that I am getting sleep, I can keep a more accountable journal! :-)
