I've been searching on Google and the best price I can find is $449 shipped. But I have seen many older posts on this forum stating purchase prices like $369 shipped. Have prices gone up or do these deals still come around?

I know the powertec rack kind of sells itsel but in that $449 shipped price you get the pullup station and dip bars. It's a slamming deal imo. I went with one and couldn't be happier. If you are lookign to spend less, search CL and be patient. Racks come up every day in my area for 2-300.

I hope this rack is good. I just ordered it from here for $450. Used the comeback10percent coupon. I guess its currently on backorder. It does suck that it used to be so much cheaper.

I like it a bunch, I have just a few complaints about it.

I wish it had plate storage. It would be easy enough for them to build in a few OLY plate holders. I am considering buying this plate holder attachment from nybb.

I am not in love with the spotters. I am sure they are fine and they don't flex at all even with decent weight on (365), I just don't love them. The rest of the rack seems like such a polished product and these seem almost thrown together. Ugly welds etc.

It slides on my Utility flooring, the interlocking blocks you can buy everywhere. I have put 35s on the rear to stop it from happening but it's annoying.

The lack of plate storage seems to be pretty common at the price point, so I didn't count it against the Ptec rack when I bought it.

Here's what I will count against it:

1. The spotters do seem sort of thrown together. They aren't ugly per se, but they look like they were an afterthought.
2. The pullup bars are terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

I don't hate the pullup bars but the rubber padding that surrounds them does slip a little. I would like if the rack came with a straight pull-up bar. The P-tec half rack has space storage so price point or not they could do it.

I'm about to snag the p-tech half rack, but no one has them in store for demo. I really want it to have a solid pull up bar but it sounds like it may not be the best. Anyone else have experience with the p-tech rack or half rack pull up bars?
