I have a friend that just got an Xbox. Just bought BC2. He hadn't downloaded the VIP packs just yet.

I was online trying to send him an invite to a game but was unable to. I was on a level that wasn't a VIP pack level (Port Valdez). There was one spot left on my team. But he was unable to join. No error message really.

He sent me an invite to a game where there were 5 spots open. I tried joining and it wouldn't let me.

What gives? Is there some sort of logic on the BC2 servers that won't let me join a n00b player's game and vice versa? Is it because he hadn't downloaded all the VIP stuff?

I think Valdez is VIP map. Your friend needs to get the code cause now more than half of the maps are VIP. It's going to be really agitating when your friends join a game and he can't keep going.

The d/l is the multi-player update. The maps are already on the disc so that's probably the issue if he has the code.

you get to pick a power, some playlists have access to more than others, you can use them anytime but all subject to a cool down

powers ive seen off the top of my head:

evasion (roll)
making a hologram of yourself

might have missed some but there were only 5 in the beta, i cant wait to get some misc custom games going with you phgts(srs)

The only way I could see that be useful is if you can pre program where it was going to run to before you activate it. It would distract players while you got behind them and sword them or whatever.

Yeah...it's sad actually most people who are mad about Dragon Age 2, are the people who didn't play it.

I welcome the change, I thought the story was a little lackluster in the last one. I didn't feel as into the world as I do in Mass Effect. Hopefully pulling some style from ME they can duplicate that same sense.

My sister-in-law is a low-life that has a 4 y/o and lives with a scum bag. They can't hold a job down. All they do is drink and do drugs. They drift from house to house and stay with friends.

Anyways, the dirt-bag bought an Xbox and had it setup at a friends house that they were staying at. Their son (my nephew) got some cologne and thought that it was some sort of cleaner. He sprayed the Xbox and TV with it thinking he was doing good. He didn't ruin anything by doing so.

Well, I was heading out the other night to a softball game and my mother-in-law came over while I was gone with my nephew and told my wife about what had happened. His father hit the child in the head with his fist and bruised his eye and ear. I get home and my wife told me what happened. I play ball with the Chief of Police in my town, so I went to his house and told him what had happened. He gets his name and tells me that he will run a check on this guy. Tells me that he will put this guy on his 'hit list'. ;)

In the meantime, I call the State Abuse Hotline and they go out and investigate. Turns out they determined that my nephew was hit so hard that he was or should have been unconscious.

Only UHL. The camera follows the puck though so like half the time you're out of position because you can't see sh!t.

Someone broke into my house today and stole two laptops, a camera, and the kid's playstation. Ruined two computer monitors and a PC.

They tried to get the kid's Xbox, but I guess it took too much to undo the connections. They took the playstation that was on top of it. The Xbox was thrown onto the floor though.

They are lucky that I didn't walk in on them.

The stolen stuff is replaceable. It's just that the wife had 2 years of pictures of my kids on the camera. Had one of my son's Kindergarten graduation, baseball All Star pics of their teams, etc.

I have wondered that same thing too. Yesterday was a good chance for me to test that out.

I went to vote, so I had my concealed carry weapon sitting in my truck instead of tucked away like usual. I got out of my truck and was carrying it in already. I noticed a strong smell of bleach in the house and I made it to the kitchen when I noticed the window being broke. I immediately went for my other pistol near the front door. I then called the wife and told her to call the cops while I cleared the house out.

I was somewhat surprised by my actions because I played it smart. I didn't go commando and go room by room. I listened for noise for a bit, then walked in a couple of rooms before running outside and around back to see if they were still around. I had my mind made up that if I saw anyone in my house I was going to shoot. I had total confidence in that.

So in all it was a good test to see how I would handle a situation like that.

I live in a decent neighborhood. We leave bikes, toys, lawnmowers, etc out all the time. We've gone out on vacation before and the front door was left open. Nothing was stolen. It's a rather busy street that we live on.

Just goes to show that it doesn't really matter where you live I guess.
