Just wondering how you were feeling 2 weeks out from your first show?
Im nervous as all hell and I'm also anxious, excited, and I guess I really don't know what to think. I can't wait for it to be over haha..

Anyway, my profile pic is where I came from on my prep and I will be competing in the NGA Can-Am.

I was thinking of ways to get out of doing the show lololol....stage anxiety is a bitch!

Funny thing though....once you get up there it's seriously pretty cool...you kinda feed off the crowd and the nerves go away...it's a crazy experience for sure!

What you're feeling is totally normal and we've all gone through it. Your hard work is done, so go up there show it off and have a blast!

Best of luck!!

Same here.. haha

I'm not even as close as you are to your show.. It feels like it creeps up on you faster and faster.. It'll be fun though and I know it'll all be worth it in the end. At least that's what I keep telling myself haha

Good luck bro

Im 2 weeks out myself. Feel like hell, flat as a pancake and even eating is an effort, but got my mind on the trophy.

Youre looking very good first show or not. You've done a real nice job. Is the Can Am the one in Buffalo or Rochester? I will probably be at the Buffalo show (watching), so if youre doing that one, I may see you there.

I'll be there competing too. It's my first show as well.

I'm a little nervous, little excited but overall feeling good about it. I'm definitely looking forward to getting it over with too, lol.

Are you doing the Rochester show on the 24th?

I am a little under 3 weeks out from my second show right now.

But bro when i did my first i was experiencing the same thing everyone else has mentioned, i was looking for ways to get out of it, i thought i looked extremely small and flat, i was tired all the damn time and just wanted some beer and pizza.

But it was the strangest thing bro, i showed up for pre-judging, got backstage, started talking with all the other guys competing and your nerves really just go away, you zone out and the next thing you know your at Outback eating a cheese fries washing it down with a Bud.... KEEP PUSHING, DONT LET UP NOW

Great to hear. I'm less than two weeks out and feeling the nerves hit. In the back of my mind I'm thinking the same thing (how can I get out of this), lol.

I am looking forward to it though.

You guys would kick yourself to go this far and be in such great shape and not go through with it! lol

The high to being on stage is like you just had a great workoutx10.

Feels amazing

+1 ^^^

What you're feeling is totally normal

I think most of us reach the point of nerves and sick of dieting. The closer we get to the show the less we almost want to do it. I know I've been like that. Dan is right, if you ever quit you'll hate yourself more. Make yourself finish what you started and you'll be FAR more proud of yourself in the long run, it won't matter how you place a few months from now. Just get up there and finish what you started. You'll learn and grow from the experience.

Has anybody else ever had the dream where they sleep through the night-show? Needless to say, I woke-up in a stage of panic this morning.

Ha! I had a recurring dream that I was casually going in somewhere (school, grocery store, mall...somewhere...) and all of a sudden I was being called on stage for prejudging! WTF! So, basically each time I was forced to go on stage w/out a tan and unshaven. Yeh, that was a weird prep dream...but not as horrifying as dreaming that you cheated on your diet!

I am just over two weeks out myself and it’s all I can do to get out of bed everyday. I do not know where my energy comes from to do my HIIT or my weight training everyday. Here at work I walk to the top of the stairs and I am out of breath and can not believe I am going to be on stage in a couple weeks. Nerves are through the roof, joints are killing me and I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET SOME TASTEFUL FOOD!!!

I have had the fear of going on stage, I have had the dreams about missing pre judging, I have craved the food.....Its all normal. Very few people do a show and dont catch the bug. Even family who comes to watch enjoy it. My mom came to my first show and brought signs, after that she was a die hard BB fan. She knows all the poses and my dad will yell out to keep stuff tight or weird phrases he thinks relate to bodybuilding. Its a subculture that very few understand but to shed some light on it, will definitly bring joy. From Last Place to First place! Everyday that passes I keep in the back of my mind, the joy of getting my hand raised. It all pays off!
