The front and back lat spread pose is giving me a lot of trouble. I know it's going to take tons of practice. Any simple tips to really perfect this pose come showtime? Thank you.
You might need to post pics of your current poses.

For the front, keep your fists -- not open hands -- on your outer ribcage. Flare your lats and keep it natural looking without popping your elbows too far forward. Tense your quads and keep them tensed.
For the back, keep you hands closer to the waist. Stretch and flare your lats but do not lean over too far to stretch. You'll end up showing your rear to the judges and audience.
And leave your trunks alone in both poses. There's never a reason to pull them up higher -- unless they're falling down!

Think of doing a relaxed shoulder roll from back to front. See how it pulls your lats out. Remember that motion and then adjust the height and distance to pull forward by using a buddy or a mirror for max width. From the front you want to keep tall/chest up/breath in and lean back slightly and from the back you want to lean forward slightly/breath out.
See if that's the effect you're looking for.
