Just putting it out there.
I went to a show last week where a buddy of mine took his class, and took second in 2 other classes. It was very inspiring.
Stats:
male
34
5' 11"
193
14%
I realize once I get down low enough to compete I might be skinny as ****, but I am hoping that is not the case. Still worried a bit though
The show is November 6ths which gives me almost 8 months to prepare for it.
My trainer has me bulking up for the next 2 months. Here is what he has me eating.
3700 calories per day at 50c/ 40p/ 10 f
then after 2 months we will star to cut.. Going to take it nice and easy and slow and long..
Any thoughts?

plan to be onstage 2 weeks before the show, because when 2 weeks out comes around you will probably realize you didnt diet long enough or hard enough and you will have some time to work with

Good idea!
I plan on starting 5 months out, simply because I have never done it before, and I want to give myself plenty of time.

Thanks guys!
Committing to this show is just the push I needed to get my diet right.
I have always known what to do, I just have never done it.
Now, I am eating cleaner than I ever have before, and I am honestly loving it.
Sometimes the food is a bit dry or bland but I have to look at it like fuel, nothing else.
Still open to more suggestions!

Your food doesn't need to be bland - most seasoning is calorie free.
Listen to your trainer - you hired him/her for a reason, and too many cooks ruin the stew. Everyone thinks that they know the right way to prep, so stick with the advice of only one at a time!
You very well may be a bit stringy with your current height and weight, but it is a regional show so you'll be ok. ;)
LEARN TO POSE WELL. Don't go through all the work of a prep and then have poor presentation.
GET A GOOD SUIT. Spend a little extra and don't get one that looks like underwear.
