Hey Everyone!!

My name is Hope and I have a regular journal over in the Women's section.
I have lost 54 lbs in the last 14 months or so and I am looking forward to using this OBF contest to get me over this last lil hump and get me into a little pink bikini this summer!!!

Of course, I could yammer on about doing this for my health etc... However, I am not gonna lie to you all. :p Right now, this is about being *drool worthy* in a bikini...end of story!! LOL

Good luck to everyone in the contest! I can't wait to see how well we all do at the end. Woohooooooo... Hottieness (probably not a real word...eh, I don't care) here I come! :D

I had an excellent workout this morning! I am pooped and the day has just begun...

Vertical Chest Press: 4 x 15 x 75
Lat Pull Down: 4 x 15 x 87.5
Chest Flys: 4 x 15 x 60
Lat Rows: 4 x 15 x 60
Biangular Chest Press: 4 x 15 x 50
Pec Flys: 4 x 15 x 40 (i can't really remember what this machine was called..it is the reverse of chest flys ..working the back.
Bicep Curls: 4 x 15 x 15

30 Minutes on the stair climber to finish off my morning.

Trying to get ready for work on "arms" mornings is pretty funny. My arms and shoulders won't stop tremoring so I have to *prop* my arms on the bathroom mirror in order to put on my makeup...Mascara is especially tricky! LOL Almost poked my eye out!!

HAPPY FRIDAY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday Ladies and Gents

Weekend recap: Saturday = REST! Naps & reading...HEAVEN!
Sunday I hit the gym as follows:

Leg Ext. 4 x 15 x 90
Leg Curl 4 x 15 x 80
Calf Raises 4 x 15 x 120
Abductor 4 x 15 x 90
Adductor 4 x 15 x 90
Leg Press 4 x 15 x 220

I started feeling sick and light headed on the last set of the Leg press. Felt like I was going to vomit and pass out. I sat there for a few minutes hoping it would pass and it didnt. Moved on to the cardio bike b/c standing was out of the question. I rode for another 20 minutes hoping I would feel better but it just kept getting worse so I finally called it good. Had to sit in my car for a while before I could drive myself home. I had a vanilla protein shake as soon as I got home with skim milk and a banana and started feeling better after about 30 minutes.

My butt is super sore today so I am a happy camper about that!!

This morning was supposed to be upper body but I ended up doing 50 minutes on the stair climber instead. Will hit upper body tomorrow.

Wow, in my experience, the stair climber works the glutes pretty hard too--well, that and calves. That's a pretty sick session.....I think I have done 50 minutes on the stair stepper just once; never again  Nice work up in here!!!

You tracking food at all?

Morning Hope! You look like you're kicking butt as always. :)

That sucks re: the nausea - I feel like that sometimes. Did you have a pretty decent pre-workout meal? If I workout on an empty tummy, I tend to not feel so hot halfway through..

Yeah, the stair climber does kill my glutes and calves but when I am that sore...it is easier for me than taking wide steps on the treadmill AND I was literally in too much pain to sit on the cardio bike seat. I did try and just could not handle it! LOL

And yes, I am faithfully tracking my food...I just forget to post it in here all the time. I am sticking at 1,500 calories a day and I was doing the Low Carb thing staying under 30 carbs a day. But I have decided to start slowly upping those. My energy levels really suffer without more carbs than that. So I will be dealing with some extra "bloat" this week while I get used to processing the additional carbs again. :)

Morning Lovely! Yeah, that nausea was no fun. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to drive myself home. I actually did have lunch before that workout...about 2 hours prior. Normally all my workouts are completely fasted and I feel fine. My stomach is pretty sensitive and I can't eat close to a workout or I get horrible cramps.

I dunno, maybe I pushed myself harder than normal...I sure have the DOMS to prove it right now...absolute AGONY pretty well describes my bottom and inner thighs today!

Good Gawd...My Glutes and inner thighs are KILLING ME!!! Somebody shoot me please!! I really kicked my own a$$ on Sunday, WOW. I hope I can duplicate this again on my next legs day. :D

This mornings workout went like so....

Pec Flys: 15 x 60, 15 x 70, 12 x 80, 12 x 70
Rear Delts: 15 x 50, 15 x 60, 12 x 60, 10 x 50
Vertical Chest Press: 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 12 x 100, 12 x 110
Lat Pull Down: 15 x 87.5, 15 x 100, 12 x 110, 12 x 110
Incline Press: 15 x 60, 15 x 70, 12 x 70, 6 x 87.5
Lat Rows: 15 x 60, 15 x 75, 12 x 87.5, 10 x 87.5
Tricep Extensions: 15 x 40, 15 x 50, 12 x 50, 8 x 40

My arms were toast at this point so I cooled down with 15 minutes on the stair climber....OWIE OWIE OWIE... owie? :D

Yesterday's Food:
Breakfast: 1 slice of sourdough with 1 tbsp. peanut butter & 1 cup low fat milk
Snack: boiled egg
Lunch: Whole wheat bread, smoked turkey, mustard, tomato sandwhich
snack: Spiced Chai Black Tea & 6 baby carrots
Dinner: Balsamic Vinegar Chicken diced into a salad w/ romaine & iceburg lettuce, tomate, cheddar cheese, 6 black olives, green onions and topped w/ low fat sour cream.

I am adding more carbs back into my diet because it really seems to help my energy levels. :)

Looks like today is an unscheduled REST day. I will make it up this weekend. The time change has got me screwed up this week and I am just tired and moody...Estrogen sux! So, I did not get up with my alarm at 4:30 this a.m. for the gym. All I missed was cardio...so I am not too fussed about it. I actually did cardio last night so I could count that for today if I really really wanted to...

As previously stated I am feeling ...like a cry baby today...and no I don't have a good reason. So I am going to stop at the store and buy some dark chocolate and indulge this evening. I haven't had chocolate in a very long time....months...and I have been obsessing about it since yesterday morning. So instead of tempting fate and possibly binging on stuff that I don't even want as a substitute...I am just going to buy the chocolate and enjoy it. ;)

This is how I am feeling today....

This morning was a little easier. Got up at 4:30 like normal and made it to the gym before the doors were even open. :)

The amount of sleep I get is not ideal...well not for me anyways. I need approx. 8-9 hours a night to feel rested but typically I get 5 1/2 or 6 a night. I try to be in bed by 10:30 and lights out by 11 p.m. Like I said...not ideal, but that is how it is. :p

YAY! I feel like a normal person again today! Must have been the dark chocolate that *fixed* me. LOL YES, I DID stop & buy some dark chocolate last night. I was feeling very pissy, so I bought the HUGE bar. haha

I got home, broke off 4 of the little squares and savored them with a glass of milk. WOW...I had forgotten how SWEET chocolate is. Seriously, I could hardly eat it! It cured my craving instantly and I really didn't have any desire to eat anymore. Whew...really sweet.

SOOOO...this morning I woke up all HYPER and HAPPY and I felt like this at the gym.....

This morning was LEGS...again...YES I am becoming masochistic & luving my DOMS. LOL

Seated Leg Curls: 15 x 70, 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 15 x 100
Leg Extensions: 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 15 x 100, 12 x 110
Abdutor: 15 x 70, 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 15 x 100
Adductor: 15 x 70, 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 12 x 90
Calf Press: 4 x 15 x 120
Glute Kickback: 15 x 40, 15 x 50, 15 x 60, 15 x 60
Leg Press: 4 x 15 x 220 (deep) OUCH!

Hi TJ :)
It can be rough trying to make time for the gym in the early a.m. and the lack of sleep can be a problem sometimes. A year ago I would NEVER have believed that I was capable of getting up faithfully at 4:30 to hit the gym by 5... I am NOT a morning person at all. The first couple of weeks was really difficult, but now I love it. I love starting my day off with a good workout and it is wonderful knowing that no matter what my day might entail...I have taken care of my workout. Anything else I do after work is just icing on the cake...so to speak ;)
Good luck with it and have a fantastic weekend!

I really need to do my measurements again and post those as well. The hips and thighs are definately becoming harder/firmer even if they are not smaller yet. So I am pretty happy. Of course, I wouldn't complain if I could somehow get quicker results...you know, the whole *instant gratification* thing...but I am not complaining! :p

This a.m. was upper body/chest:

Vertical Chest Press: 15 x 70, 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 15 x 100
Pec Flys: 15 x 60, 15 x 70, 15 x 80, 12 x 90
Rear Delts: 15 x 40, 15 x 50, 15 x 60, 12 x 60
Incline chest Press: 15 x 50, 15 x 60, 12 x 70, 10 x 60
Lat Pulldown: 15 x 80, 15 x 90, 15 x 112, 12 x 125

Too pooped to party at this point so I finished up with 30 min. on the stair climber.

I feel like I need to start paying more attention to my biceps/triceps...
My arms are strong and developing well but I just don't see enough bicep when I flex. I don't know if the problem is that they aren't growing OR I am still just too fat to tell. It is probably just the extra body fat....

Can't wait to have Gunz!

Ok, so I am in horrible pain this morning. It feels like my stomach is trying to chew its way out of my body. *shudder*

I let myself get all pissed off last night (doesn't happen often)...like really worked myself up into a tizzy and now I am paying for it big time. I try to stay mellow and I am a really calm, quiet person ...even my anger is quiet (my family finds that scarey for some reason. LOL)
Anyway, We have had a housefull of people all week and I am just at my snapping point. I have a family of 6 then add in both my girl's boyfriends and then add the fact that my brother and his girlfriend have been staying with us all week. I was already TENSE beyond belief last night AND THEN my neice and her boyfriend showed up. So count them ....that is 12 freaking people stomping up and down my hallway at 9 p.m. last night.

You may laugh but I finally had it when the neice and boyfriend showed up and she headed straight for the bathroom.....GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Don't they have a potty at their house?! We have gone through 16 rolls of toilet paper in 4 days!! How often do these people need to take a cr*p?!!!? LOL Oh gawd...I can laugh now but last night I wanted to run rampant and stab people with my dinner fork!

So I sat in my bed fuming, shaking, and letting loose with a stream of profanities.... My poor husband tried to comfort me, and he did make me feel better (somewhat) but he finally just pretended to be asleep for a lack of a better idea. hahaha... poor guy! My tummy would probably feel so much better today if I HAD run amok and told people what I thought (or stabbed them with my dinner fork) :o...instead I suppressed it all as much as possible and now the acid is eating my body!!!!!

Vent, rant, vent, rant.....sorry peeps! Just had to share my psychotic episode with you all.

Yes, despite my nausea I did make it to the gym this morning. Will post later....gotta go hide the forks.

My workouts usually take from 45 - 60 minutes. My gym doesn't open until 5 and I have to be home by 6:15 in order to get everyone to school and myself to work. It is a bit of a juggleing act but I make it work. :)

Happy Friday Everyone! I am so glad it is finally here....

I am utterly exhausted this week. I mean literally I felt like crying this morning when the alarm went off and I had to get up for the gym. I'm not in a bad mood just so extremely physically tired that I feel like I can barely function.

My entire body from the neck down has DOMS of some degree or another...everything aches and throbs... I think I maybe just pushed to hard this week, didn't get adequate nutrition and was emotionally pent up b/c of the company issues...it all took its toll!

I walked for another 2 miles last night even though I desperately *did not want to*! Got to bed at 11:30 and up this a.m. at 4:30. I was too sore to do a whole lot today and I couldn't even do cardio b/c I torched my quads on the bike yesterday.

So I was kinda all over the place this a.m. and NOT up to my normal standards:

Abductor: 4 x 15 x 90
Adductor: 4 x 15 x 80
Chest Press: 4 x 15 x 70
Leg Ext: 4 x 15 x 70
Seated Leg Curl: 4 x 15 x 60
Calf raises: 4 x 15 x 120

I just focused on range of motion and form today and at least I showed up although it would probably have been more beneficial to just sleep. I can tell I really need it.

Tomorrow will be a REST day and I plan on sleeping as long as I need to!!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!!!!! :D
