no, its the NPC Oregon State Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness Championships...July 10th. Ive heard the Ironman is a great show! Theres a girl in my posing class, shes doing the Ironman.

Yay! How cool would it be to meet someone from the forums in real life!!! Im getting really excited, but stressed at the same time...my suit came in the mail the other day...wow, that really showcases the parts of my body that still have a teeny bit of fat!

:) youve competed before, what are your thoughts on booking a tan vs. doing it yourself? I booked one, i figured for my first show, the less i have to worry about, the better...

Where is the NPC Oregon State? I'm totally drawing a blank right now. The Ironman in Washington in Oct is a great show! It was my first.

Don't be stressed. At this point getting stressed out isn't going to help you any. The suit will look much better when youre nice and tan.

I've always done my tan myself because I'm cheap and refuse to pay somebody $100 to do it when i can do it myself (or with the help of friends). I actually buy my jan tana from Roxana (the gal from onstage image who will be applying the spray tans at the show) and just apply myself. It takes like 5-8 coats to get dark enough so it can be kind of a pain but its worth saving money. If you're stressed about applying it yourself and you have money to spare then pay to have it sprayed on. If you don't want to waste the money its really not that hard to apply yourself. Are you staying at the host hotel? If I can help in any way shoot me a pm and i'll give you my number and would be happy to help you before the show if you need anything. I know how stressful and overwhelming the first show can be! For my first show I actually met a gal here on bb.com and she met me there at the show and helped me immensly.

Number one thing right now... Don't stress! Sit back and enjoy the ride because at this point stressing isn't going to help.

dude, i totally had trouble shelling out 100 bucks for the tan...im cheap too! haha. Roxana seems like a really cool chick.

nah, the host hotel was booked (i waited too long to get a room) so were at the Holiday Inn Salmon Creek...ya, id love to meet up with ya! it would be cool to know some one, i imagine my husband wont be allowed some places that i need to be...? i hear its sort of "organized chaos" at the check-in, etc.

what do you usually do between pre judging and the night show, just out of curiosity?

LOL! I'm cheap too! Roxana is very cool. Her husbands really nice too. If you want help with the tan give me a call and I'll show you how to do it.

Most likely your hubby won't be allowed some places... although some venues are more strict about that than others. For my first show nobody was allowed backstage and for my second it was way more relaxed. I think it also depends on the size of the show.

Between prejudging and the night show... Not a whole lot to do. Nap if you can. Eat. Hang out. For my first show we actually went shopping. Boy did we get some funny looks walking around the stores looking like oompaloompas from our tans. LOL!
