Motivation -

Since I started my current job, about 2.5 year ago I have gained about 45 lbs. I'm tired of it and ready for a change. This challenge is a great thing for me, I'm a very competitive person.

I think just about every male in my family has had heart problems and ultimately died of a heart attack. I have two kids and I want to live a long and full life and be there for my family.

and I want my wife to look at my body the same way she did when we met!

Current Workout -
Right now just doing cardio, I play flag football every Sunday morning for 2.5-3 Hours and do morning cardio 3 times a week. I was going to start lifting this week but the pinched nerve in my neck flared up and my neck and back is wrenched right now, so I will attempt to start lifting next week.

Good Luck to everyone in the contest!

Got up early this morning and did some LISS on my elliptical.

According to the machine I did 30 mins, 2.13 miles, burned 344 Calories

I love doing cardio in the morning. It makes me feel more energetic all day and I don't have to worry about making time for it later in the day after work.

Next workout will be morning cardio on Friday, some HIIT on the elliptical.

Flag Football Sunday morning and then try to hit the weights next week if my neck improves.

I also forgot to add in my motivation section. I am the best man at my friend's wedding in May. I don't want to look like a lard standing up there, my friend and the groomsmen are all very skinny.

On target with diet everyday since mid January, 1600-1800 Calories a day.

Playing backetball for an hour or so for cardio this evening.

Morning HIIT tomorrow.

Neck is feeling better so I should be on schedule to start lifting next week.

Going to buy rollerblades this weekend, wife wants to get some and do some cardio together. I looked up rollerblading and I think 30 mins burns about 350 calories. Getting more daylight next week too!

Basketball's good for the legs. :D And your dinner last night sounds really good. I thought about having an Irish meal, but by the time I even contemplated it, it was too late and I had no desire to stop by the grocery.

Have fun in the gym tonight.

MikeDC82
03-20-2010, 03:41 PM
Yeah, too bad its raining all day, no rollerblading.

Gained 2 lbs this week, awsome...not

First time I've lifted in atleast a couple of years and used creatine so I would assume I am holding more water because I've worked my tail off all week.

My stepfather really wants me to do the P90X with him, I'm considering it.

MikeDC82
03-22-2010, 06:26 AM
Now we are looking at the Power 90 program. It's basically the beginner/gimp version of P90X. My stepdad and wife want to do a program but both cannot pass the physical test they give you to try before you do P90X. I can pass the test so I really don't want to start with the beginners program but I also want to help my wife and stepdad get it going. My stepdad has lost 35 lbs since last September with just diet and no exercise. He has stopped losing weight and decided it was time to start working out. My wife just wants to tone for the summer. So I guess I'll just go for the greater of the group and do the power 90 with them and just do some extra weight lifting on my own.

MikeDC82
03-23-2010, 06:54 AM
Played about an hour of basketball last night then watched my DVR recording of UFC on Versus 1. Some nice finishes on the card. I hope they put Dos Santos vs Velasquez together!

Made my decision and my wife, stepdad, and I will be started the Power 90 program on Monday. I am going to add in some weight lifting one the side with the program.

MikeDC82
03-24-2010, 06:21 AM
I did the fat burner express last night from the power 90 along with the ab ripper 100. It was a pretty easy 45 minute workout but it had me sweating a lot.

My diet has been spot on everyday, about 1600-1800 calories, low card, very low fat, and high protein.

I will be having cheats meals Thursday night and Saturday night. It my anniversary so going out to dinner both night and staying at a hotel over the weekend. Going to a Hibachi place tomorrow night and having some lobster, shrimp, and a sushi roll or two!

Yesterday was my anniversary so we went out to Shoguns Grill and Sushi, I had some fried rice, lobster, and shrimp along with a couple of beers. It was my first cheat since I started dieting in mid January.

Workout yesterday I did Cheast, Tris, and Shoulders. I did DB Bench press, Flys, Military Press, Lateral Raises, Skullcrushers, and Seated Tricep extensions.

I also did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express and the Ab Ripper 100.

So hopefully I worked off all my cheat calories.

I also did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express and Ab Ripper 100 on Wednesday.

Going to do back and Bis today, Going to skip legs on this rotation. Legs are really sore and my left hip is giving me a lot of trouble.

MikeDC82
03-28-2010, 03:50 PM
Since the start of the competition my weight has gone 192,190,192, and now back to 190. So 2 whole pounds down.

My waist has gone down 1 inch and chest up half an inch so I guess the weight isnt all that bad.

Took Saturday off. Was lazy and didn't do bis and back till today. Also did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express today and the Ab Ripper 100.

Hey Bud Good luck with your challenge - did you start having the wild dreams with the TestX6? About a month ago I had a dream I sold GlutaCene to Obama and he bought it for the entire country - I wish.

On a more serious note people under estimate the value of ZMA and in my opinion the real benefit of TestX6 which is depth of sleep - Recovery happens at night and to the degree and quality of out sleep. I hope you are liking it.

I hardley ever remember my dreams, so I have not had any crazy ones yet, but I have noticed a better quality of sleep with TestX6 and I have added some mass in my chest most notibly while on it.

Played basketball for about an hour and a half after work, did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express after dinner. No ab ripper though, I was too tired.

Today is prolly going to be an off day I have a ton of errands to do after work, might try to sneak in some cardio if I have time.

Going to hit Chest, Tris, and Legs tomorrow.

Before moving to Florida I took NO-Beta before playing basketball to see what if anyhting would happen. I got to pumped from streching so I couldn't play had to settle for a game of horse and paralelepipido (cobble stone in Portuguese) played with a buddy of mine from Brasil.

Best cardio for when it's raining... Jump rope! Just gotta make sure you move any picture frames or your mom will make you pay for a new one... Which will of course be the most expensive one she can find. Still pissed about that

Good luck with the program! CreaDyl will certainly help with endurance and ATP production. Don't get too bummed about any water weight that you're getting, it always levels back out after a bit :)

Also, good to hear that the TestX6 is helping with a good nights rest!

How was the Chest and Legs workout?

How was the cardio and sculpt sessions?

Very Good

Tuesday did the Power 90 Sweat 1-2 and Ab Ripper 100

Yesterday I got up early and did some fasted cardio on my Elliptical
30 mins, 2.5 Miles, 350 Calories Burned

Also did the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 at night.

Tonight I have to run some errands and will do the Power 90 Sweat 1-2 and Ab Ripper 100.

I have not lost too many lbs since this contest started but I can definitely tell a difference in my body. I took 4 weeks pics last weekend and compared. I can tell a difference mostly in my love handle area. I started wearing shirts I haven't worn in a year and dropped a pant size. I have been getting a lot of compliments on how good I'm looking and the progress I’ve made. I am finally getting some definition back in my arms and some vascularity returning to my forearms.

Did the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 on Saturday

Bought a six pack go my favorite beer, Killians Irish Red and drank only three while watching the disappointing UFC 112 PPV.

Played flag football Sunday morning for about 2.5 hours. This burns about 1400 calories.

Did not work out on Saturday. I was at work all day working on a project.

Played flag football this morning for about 2 hrs; had to cut it short because of storms.

Also did the Power 90 Sweat 1-2 and Ab Ripper 100 this afternoon.

Only dropped 1 lb on the scale this week and measurements stayed the same. Kinda of dissapointed with that since i busted @ss all week.

Oh well heres to a new week!

Don't worry about it too much. Weight can fluctuate anywhere between 1-2 lbs on a given day. Scale isn't everything. Go by how you look and feel as well.

Monday I did the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2

Tuesday I did Chest, tris, and shoulders with a friend. After dinner I rollerbladed with the wife for about an hour the did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express.

Started working out with a friend yesterday. He is supposed to work out with me 4 days a week now. So I will start doing a double workout on those days. Work out with him right after work then do the Power 90 series with the family.

I did a leg and back workout with my friend right after work. Then I did the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 with the family after dinner.

I did some power cleans for the first time since high school. I did a couple sets of 10 with 135.

I think I'm going to work bis and abs today along with some cardio. I also have Power 90 Sweat 1-2 and Ab ripper 100 tonight.

Nice! How has the progress been? Eating good?

It has slowed down. Been eating great.

No weight change this week, did drink a lot Friday night though. Was hitting it pretty good at the begining of the week. Slowed at the end of the week; was tired and working a lot of overtime at work and had to work all day Saturday.

Played about 2 hrs of flag football this morning. Plan on lifting tomorrow after work and do the Power 90 with the family after dinner.

weighed in at 185 again this morning for the 3rd straight week. Fortunatly my waist was down 1 inch though =D

So it's the half way point of the contest. So overall for this last two months I have lost 7 lbs, 2.5 inches off my waist, .5 inch off my chest, and .5 inch off my hips.

Did not get a workout in yesterday, day just got away from me. Had to run a lot of errands.

Played 2.5 hrs of flag football this morning and doing the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 tonight. Going to try to throw in some sets of Power Cleans and Deadlifts if I have anything left in the tank. I haven't done deadlifts since High School.

I prolly won't be able to play flag football for the next three weeks and my diet is going to take a couple of hits. Next weekend is mother's day, the weekend after I am throwing a bachelor party, and the weekend after that is the wedding. Flag football is great cardio so it's going to suck skipping it but it will give my ankles and turf toe some time to heal too.

On Monday I did the Power 90 Fat Burner Express.

Tuesday had a great workout. My friend came over after work. Worked on Chest, bis, tris, and abs, After our hour or so workout we jogged in the park by my house for about a mile and a half. After dinner I did the Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 with the family.

Finally put my 2 month pictures on my computer. Huge difference, which is funny since it's only a 7 lbs difference. I can't wait to see where I can get to at the end of the 4 months.

Sorry for the lack of updates.

Been busy as crap last two weeks; Friend's Birthday party and dinner, threw a bachelor party, best man in a wedding, couple of sporting events, son was sick, got a promotion at work, and had a couple of projects at work as well. Worked a lot of o/t and had to help friend with wedding. So i have only got in a couple of workouts the last 2 weeks and pretty much ate like crap, but somehow I lost 2 lbs.

Hit the workout today - Power 90 Sweat 1-2 & Ab Ripper 200

I doubt I will be able to place in the contest but I'm going to see what I can do in these last 5 weeks.

Hit the elliptical yesterday and did about 2.5 miles with my sauna suit on, thought I was going to die. Rested for a couple of hours then did the Power 90 Sculpt 3-4.

Last Sunday I played flag football for about 2.5 hrs. It's hitting 94-95 degrees here now.

Rested Monday, tweaked my ankle playing football and I have two bad ankles.

I'm a little late taking my 3 months pics but I will do those today.

Last Saturday I weighed in at 180. That is 12 lbs down since the start of the contest and 27 lbs total since I started dieting in mis January.

Since the Start of the contest my waist has gone down 3.5", hips down 1", and my chest is down 2".

My waist hasn't gone down any in the past three weeks, trying to break through that and up my cardio some.

Pinched nerve in my neck flared up Tuesday morning, so no lifting for right now.

Tuesday I put on the sauna suit and hit up the elliptical in my garage.
I did the weight loss program 2, level 5, 30 mins, 2.62 Miles, about 390 cals burned according to the machine

Today I tried to kill it, did the elliptical again, no sauna suit this time.
Weight Loss program 2, level 6, 45 mins, 4.45 Miles, 650 cals burned

Longest I have ever ran at once.

Hopefully my neck loosins up tomorrow so I can lift.
