So I put my dog down today.
I fell off the wagon. Didnt workout today, ate like total sh*t, but its ok. Back on the grind tomorrow. Cant stop wont stop get it get it

So sorry to hear it. Our condolences for your loss - Kiki (chihuahua) Tank (Pit/German Shepherd) Neo (Field Springer)-currently Heartworm Positive :(, and Precious (Yorkie) - our dogs mean everything to us too.
I still haven't gotten over losing my dog Molly (Chow/Border Collie) two years ago after she drank antifreeze at our neighbors.

i would love to ball this weekend but i don't know if the weather will permit.(i'm not paying ~$10 for a day pass).
down to about 180/181. work slacks are getting looser which is good but also 'bad' since i'll probably have to buy new ones.
i've been limiting my carbs to breakfast/post-workout/and some milk in my pre-bed shake. now i just have to amp up the cardio and the fat will be melting off:D
yeah my clothes feeling loose. I love playing basketball cause the way I play is hard all the time. I take in most of my carbs after my workout. For instance, today I will have this post-workout.

yeah my clothes feeling loose. I love playing basketball cause the way I play is hard all the time. I take in most of my carbs after my workout. For instance, today I will have this post-workout.
3 whole eggs+one egg white
4 slices of Ezekiel bread
1 cup of salad.
Ezekiel 4:9 breads are the best. Good to see you have found it.
For those of you that have not tried it, go get some! Its a living bread so keep it refrigerated.

BAD WEEK FOR ME. Started working at Nintendo and I have to wake up at 4:30 am to get to work so my sleep schedule is just ass backwards. I also work 12 hours and 14 hours sunday.
Diet has been pretty piss poor this week too.
Workouts are few and very weak these last 5 days due to lack of sleep.
Next week I am going to get my **** straightened out and get the diet, workouts and sleep in check.

I feel like a loser already because I am keeping my weight the same, even when I know I should start losing. I just cannot achieve that mindset I had last year. It was too tough to lose 62 Lbs in a year. Now I enjoy food so much.

3 straight days of working out hard but not eating right. Prob 2500-3k cals a day instead of under 2k Like I shouldve for the past 3 days. Meh

Ahaha....it was pizza for dinner at work tonight! (I work in a youth care home). Then, without a word of a lie, they went out for DQ afterwards!
BOTH of my previous cheats/treats/whatever you want to call them.
However, I had packed my food, so while they were eating the yummy smelling pizza and amazing looking ice cream, I ate my prepacked healthy meals and feel so much better for it now!
I'ma wake up in the morning and be really happy :) Go me!

last week was my cycle off week for EC and i saw NO results ate just about the same and did more cardio with higher intensity and went from 199 to 201. so last night i decided to give myself a cheat and ate some wendys spicy chicken sandwich fries and some chipotle boneless wings...like 1400 cals. so i woke up this morning did my morning cardio(jump rope and jumping jacks) now im off to support my roommates at this beer olympics(no drinking for me though). so ill be hitting it harder than ever gotta beat this plateau im stuck at. good luck to everyone else this weekend and yea watched kickass last night pretty good movie def recommend it

i used to play at least a few times a week when i was in school, intense games between classes and on the weekend. good times.
i do more along the lines of 8-10oz gr. beef, ~18 triscuits(hint of salt variety), and some veggies.

Hey guys, Im making awesome progress since march and cant wait to see what the end of this contest brings me.
Weighed in today at 245 so I am back to how I was before I got off track for a couple weeks...but this time I am a ton leaner and feel a ton stronger as well.
Since March I have lost a total of 15 pounds and 8.5 inches total....although it has been a yoyo contest for me I have vowed to not get off course and have not cheated in 14 days now :D

Thanks! Although I believe I have sinusitis and I read the only thing to make it go away is time...sucks cause it feels like my right side of my face got punched lol. I feel I could have made better progress this week if I wasnt bed ridden for two days.

my lil story... got rid of my size 42 jeans few days ago i think...wearing some older 38s I had. Well with my vegas trip coming up i decided to hit up old navy today with the wife (i need help with picking stuff out) and she thought the 38s looked baggy for the style, brought me a pair of 36s....and I walked out buying 5 pairs of size 36!! I am so happy! :) the straight leg felt a lil snug in the leg but i guess thats the style and im so used to big jeans I guess! Pretty close to a XL shirt too, but felt to snug at chest.

Missed a week, my mistake... eek. I was away and bit occupied with things and forgot.
Monday- @Gym- Deadlifts, lat pull downs, wide grip rows, narrow grip rows, chin ups
Tues- rest
Wednesday- Ab ripper X
Thurs- rest
Friday- @home- Pushup and some core workouts
Saturday- rest
Overall, my diet is doing quite well but I lost a meal each day which will hurt a little bit and I seem a little less filled up. There is defiently moments where my body is eating itself because of the meal loss and my strange hours of sleep which have been going on for the last couple of weeks. I need to begin waking up in the morning once again <--- this is very important to success for me. Not sure if I'm seeing any differences but I would say its safe to say I'm maintaing well. Purchased another 4.4 pounds of protein complex the other day because my previous 4.4 lber bag is just shy of empty. Again sorry for the terrible posting abilities but know I'm still here and conscious of this motivating contest (at least for the other contestants more than me atm) STILL IMPORTANT!!!

Thanks! Only 14 lbs but I can see it in the mirror more so than on the scale. The fat loss is exactly where I want it to be, 2lbs a week.
I am really getting into the lifting now too. Look forward to each session and trying to break personal records.

Just finished a 24hr shift.
And I have to be honest, my job is stupidly stressful. I'm a youth care worker, and today I was on edge all day.
So I'm gonna be honest, I'm having a couple beer. And I'm enjoying every sip!

Haha, yeah. A little uncalled for. I get what you're saying, but nevertheless.
Good thing I'm not offended easily :)
What I will concede to is you're right, they're not necessary. So I'll finish this one now, and give the rest to my ex when he shows up tomorrow (no lie. srs)
(PS - Stomach/arms are the body parts I stress about. So should I ever post soemthing like this again - I probably won't, haha - that would be the thing to make a comment like that on.)

i used to play at least a few times a week when i was in school, intense games between classes and on the weekend. good times.
i do more along the lines of 8-10oz gr. beef, ~18 triscuits(hint of salt variety), and some veggies.
what exactly do you do at Nintendo?

Hey every one I passed my pt test I didnt do the run I did the alternat even of power walking 2 miles in 32 minutes and I completed it in 29:05. So I finally got over that obsticle course. Now that that's over Im more focused and driven now. I havent lost weight for some reason but I know alot of it is water retention becasue of the carbs Ive been eatting big mistake for me because Im carb sensitive. So that is expected to happen when you stop journalling your food intake. So Im busting out the book today again. I hope to see the water numbers drop today because dang 5 pounds of water? Well I hope every one is doing well and still focused Im still in this thing and still pounding pavement.

-14 Pounds and you can totally see it! I am -23 pounds and cant see a thing, lol. You look much leaner. The folds on your back are smoothing out. Your tummy is leaner and even your belly button is in better shape, lol. Good job.
AS FOR ME
I go thru a plateau every other week and not cheating to get there. I have done this enough now that I am use to it and know it will pass and more pounds will come off. At least I dont gain any.
I think since Saturdays are my main cheat day, I will make Sunday my main fast day- for liquids (which will be protein shakes, since I need the pro anyway).
The DOC was right, my vit B deficiency caused my lips to crack. After trying everything under the sun to heal them over the past 5 weeks, one week on B vitamins whipped them back into shape. So if anyone has severe chapped/peeling/bleeding lips a vit B complex and lots of water is what ya need.

well i actually didnt get myself any fast food breakfast this morning! proud of myself! lol.
Had 1/4 cup oats, 3/4 c egg whites and scoop of protein. I think today I am sticking to mostly liquids after my carb/cheat day yesterday. I like throwing these in now and then too.
Going to try to stick hard to the diet today and tomorrow and enjoy when I get to the airport tomorrow night a bit. I dont think im going to drink least not till i land.
ne1 have experience with bringing supps with them on trips. Going to pick up protein when im out there and heard if i put my pills in their original containers in my checked bags id be ok.

Thanks Tropix. Its hard to see change unless you take pics every month or so which is why Im glad I joined this contest so I can really see the changes over time.
Great job on the 23 lbs weight loss! Thats very impressive. As you get leaner, you will have to lose less to see a more noticable difference.
I think part of the reason there is a difference in appearance with only 14 lbs is the inclusion of heavy lifting several times a week opposed to just dieting and cardio. I wish I knew my BF% when I started and current to see if my LBM is changing at all.
My orginial goal weight was 170 lbs this year. Now Im not so sure I want to even get down that low. Ill have to reevaluate at 190 to see if I want to continue cutting.
Goal for OBF finish is not a particular weight but to have visible abs!

Nothing like a still warm, just off the vine (so to speak) strawberry. She had SO much fun and we loaded up on very fresh veggies, and herbs. My whole house smells like dill right now. YUM!
Hitting things really hard this week. Upping cardio to 2 sessions daily, except my heavy legs day. Everything is coming into focus and my quads are peeking out quite strongly. I love squats! Now it's time to up the energy and intensity.

What's your chest/back routine like? Do you find it takes a lot out of you when done on the same day?
Sometimes I super set those when I'm pressed for time and I know I cannot do them on separate days. But I'm not as strong and I feel as if I'm not putting the same effort in as when doing them on different days.

I hate when I have an unplanned cheat, ha.
Anyway Tuesday is my birthday so I had planned on that night having my cheat meal, but my grandmother made me a lemon pie today so I could have it on tuesday. (I was home for the weekend, so she made it before I had to head back to school). Anyway I cut into it before I left home so the family could get their share too (and so I wouldn't be bringing the whole thing back with me ;) ). So good, but bad me had seconds.
Other than that, diet and training has been spot on...at least according to plan. Though I've lost a bit of weight I'm not losing like I should given activity level: I took pictures to compare to the "befores" and can only see a slight difference. Based on the opinions of a few folks I trust completely, I may not be eating enough, so I'm going to up cals by ~100-200 to see what happens for the next couple of weeks.

I do the P90x routine, lots and lots of super setting pushups with pullups, and some dumbbell work. As far as intensity is concerned...felt like I was going to pass out by the last set of back fly's if that says anything lol.

I fasted today to help break my plateau. I restocked on diet foods for the week. I didnt have a cheat this weekend, as I had Olive Grden onThursday I think it was. It was hard too cause my family asked me to BBQ, and I had to decline or I would have cheated again.
My weight is on the move as of today, so I hope to see a weight change by one or two numbers by mornin. I just want to reach my 25 pound mark and reboot which is only 2 pounds away now.

Weight is down 3 pounds for the week. I think I am developing arthritis in my right knee. Yikes, do you guys think I should avoid single (knee) joint moves like the leg extension or leg curls for a while and work on multi joint moves only.
Any advise? Im just worried about not being able to shape my leg muscles more effectively with single joint workouts.

Yay! So did my first bikini show! Now time to work on Figure, which is where I really want to be! : ) Here are 2 pictures I was able to get for now. I can definitely see where I still need to work, def need to lean up my abs and legs...gotta put on more muscle anyhow for figure. But even since the start of the contest I can see a huge difference. Yay!

Haha, my ex didn't want them so I dumped them down the sink :O Will power indeed!
I was not looking forwards to getting up in the morning at 5 to get my workout in and said "eff it" and wasn't going to cook up all my food for tomorrow. Then read this thread and cooked up my food! I'm off to bed pretty quick here so I can muster up the motivation to get up in the morning! Have a great Monday all!

ughh just realized i have a 10 page paper due tomorrow... looks like its going to be a long night with very little sleep since still have to be up at 7 for internship :mad:
going to try to get a little cardio in sometime tho even though its an 'off' day for me.. cleaning out the fridge and freezer of all unnecessary/crap food and stocking with my cutting diet, need to see some fibraz :cool:

My evaluation for this week:
Good- I am over the stomach flu.
Bad- I think my weight loss last week was only from being sick.
Good- I went for a nasty 10 mile mountainbike ride yesterday.
Bad- We went to a chinese buffet after bike ride.
Good- I have a friend coming in from out of state for 4 or 5 days this week.
Bad- I won't be able to get to the gym and we will be eating out.
Good- I am gonna try to start commuting by mountain bike to work.
Bad- I should have been commuting for 2 weeks already and Week 7 is already here!
Good- There are 10 weeks left

How is everyone doing, I went away end of last week for a camping trip and have not been on. I will have to go back a few pages and review I just havent had time yet. Camping trip went good I caught about 60 lbs of catfish and I did cheat a little with diet. I had dr pepper for the first time in a long time. I brung lots of water too tho. I got in a lot of exercise carrying wood building fire setting up camp so I dont feel I missed any workouts lol. There was this one huge log I drug out of the woods for everyone to sit on and it was a great challenge and doing it in sand was awesome leg workout.

Good Morning all. It looks like everyone had a great week. There's some real good progress going on. I am surprised by the amount of people who have been disqualified already for missing 2 weeks of posting. Too bad. :(
I'm back from Vegas and it's back to the grind. I haven't hit the gym in 6 days and my muscles are looking a little deflated but it was a nice break (except for the 10hrs of walking done daily). I'm going to hit legs hard today and shock the crap out of my body. I'm back on my diet but it won't be as strict at it was once before. I'm going to allow fatty meats like pork and eat more steak and ground beef which will give me more options (more keto style).
I've gained a few pounds while off my diet and i'm hoping it doesn't take too long to shed, and i hope it's mostly water. ;)
It's good to be back.

I can definitely see where I still need to work, def need to lean up my abs and legs...gotta put on more muscle anyhow for figure. But even since the start of the contest I can see a huge difference. 2nd day at new gym, pretty good workout today, weighed in at 187,broke 190 for the 1st time in a while, down 4 from last week, hope everyone else is doing well
wooooo....weighed in this morning and have dropped below 245 for the first time in 2 years

Weight is down another 2 lbs this week. Abs are just starting to show, but still have another good 10lbs to lose before you can do your laundry on them ;)

Sprained the crap out of my hand playing golf this weekend. Going to have to switch to machines this week b/c my grip is shot! Down another 3 lbs now for a total of 8 lbs so far though.

How do you determine your progress has stalled? If you are going by the scale that isnt a good indicator. Go by how you look and strength in gym. Take pics, try to break PRs.
Each time you post pics I can see drastic differences in your body Carl.
My plan for the next 10 weeks is to try to add an additional rep or weight to every exercise on each visit. I am also cleaning up the diet to be more of a 40/40/20 split.
I only lost 14 lbs in the following before and afters pics so I figure in 10 more weeks even if I only lose another 15-20 lbs my start/finish pics will be drastically different.

Good Morning all. It looks like everyone had a great week. There's some real good progress going on. I am surprised by the amount of people who have been disqualified already for missing 2 weeks of posting. Too bad. :(
I'm back from Vegas and it's back to the grind. I haven't hit the gym in 6 days and my muscles are looking a little deflated but it was a nice break (except for the 10hrs of walking done daily). I'm going to hit legs hard today and shock the crap out of my body. I'm back on my diet but it won't be as strict at it was once before. I'm going to allow fatty meats like pork and eat more steak and ground beef which will give me more options (more keto style).
I've gained a few pounds while off my diet and i'm hoping it doesn't take too long to shed, and i hope it's mostly water. ;)
It's good to be back.

I got 6 weeks until surgery, so I'm trying to get the majority of the hard work done between now and then... I'm stepping up my cardio, getting madder at myself for not staying on my diet and now I'm forcing myself better... Been kinda stressed lately with a few life things but that should clear up shortly. I'm seriously going Eat, Sleep, (Work), Train. Social Life = 0... err... less than before, so probably, negative. I'm also at a bit of a plateau, but I'm sure its self-induced (too. much. candy.)

Sounds like your lifting is doing well, great job on the PRs! Feels good to do more during a session.
Are you tracking your foods or planning them out in advance? I eat the same thing for breakfast every single day and similar snacks/meals. Makes it easy to keep track of my cals.
I just started using fitday and it rocks for tracking cals since it also calculates your macros too.

My evaluation for this week:
Good- I am over the stomach flu.
Bad- I think my weight loss last week was only from being sick.
Good- I went for a nasty 10 mile mountainbike ride yesterday.
Bad- We went to a chinese buffet after bike ride.
Good- I have a friend coming in from out of state for 4 or 5 days this week.
Bad- I won't be able to get to the gym and we will be eating out.
Good- I am gonna try to start commuting by mountain bike to work.
Bad- I should have been commuting for 2 weeks already and Week 7 is already here!
Good- There are 10 weeks left

I have cut back on my cals even more yet again. I need to see more progress than this. I skipped my update photos I said I would post on the 16th. I just couldnt bare to see a lack of improvements. I fasted yesterday and somewhat today as well, to help push me thru this stubborn plateau.

I hate when I have an unplanned cheat, ha.
Anyway Tuesday is my birthday so I had planned on that night having my cheat meal, but my grandmother made me a lemon pie today so I could have it on tuesday. (I was home for the weekend, so she made it before I had to head back to school). Anyway I cut into it before I left home so the family could get their share too (and so I wouldn't be bringing the whole thing back with me ;) ). So good, but bad me had seconds.
Birthdays don't count as cheat days :) Hope it's a HAPPY ONE!!

I am down 12.4 pounds for the challenge so far! My next short term goal is 12.6 more pounds by June 5. That is the day my daughter graduates from high school.
The past two weeks were pretty much write-offs for me. Being in Florida for the week may have improved my legs by walking a bazillion miles (give or take a few ) but really did nothing for my weight and strength training. Then I was lucky enough to catch the chest/head cold the kids were passing around to each other in Florida on the bus ride home. So this entire week I have spent hacking and sneezing and feeling like... well you know... Today I am finally feeling like I can tolerate being upright for more than a couple minutes. The diet stayed in check all week, but the workouts were non-existant.
But I am back at it today! Even got up at 5:15 AM... yes AM to do some cardio

cant really answer that. too many factors, like diet, and training. Just add two 2.5lb plates each week that would be like 12 weeks taking it slow

Great progress so far!, really hard to say, I have a friend who was able to increase his bench from around 165 to 225 in only a couple months, however I still struggle to do 225 after a year, so genetics can also play a role! I found for me I plateaued around 205, but i have a relatively small build

Quarter of a way through my 2 month carb cycling plan! Down -15lbs and every lift has increased! My heart rate has plummeted when doing cardio, used to be 172 and now I'm resting at 130 after 30+ minutes of hard cardio! No progress picks yet, I'm waiting for the big one in June.

Umm...do a lot of body weight exercises? Pushups, pullups, etc.. Or some plyo kind of stuff. Jump squats, mountain climbers, etc. I'm assuming you don't have a way to take any kind of resistance stuff with you? (bands, dumbbells..?)

I've been very emo the last couple of days. I quit smoking. I read in the MISC about how some 22 year old kid just died of lung cancer, his screen name was StephenHawking...that was enough to make me quit that instance. I turned around and smashed my box of cigarettes and threw them in the trash and have not looked back.
The thing that really scares me is that I've had lung issues for the past 6+ months and they don't know what it is. IDK, I had tried to quit before but nothing really hit home until I read about that kid. I'm not sure if its the withdrawls or the fact that it scares the **** out of me, but I'm constantly fighting back tears. :(

I don't know what you're going through, but I know what it's like to be in a stressful situation beyond my control and mindlessly eat because...well, that's what I do. I hope that whatever is causing your stress will be settled soon. In the meanwhile, take care of yourself!
You have what it takes to overcome stressful eating. Try to put it in your mind not to self medicate. Remember that the stress doesn't really go away when you stuff it down inside you with food. You will have to deal with it later with the addition of an extra layer of fat and health complications that go along with it. Try to find an outlet for your stress and get it out before it eats you up.
I have found that helps to keep food that I would mindlessly munch out on of sight (out of sight, out of mind). Have on hand the foods you need to eat (I know what a struggle this can be, especially when trying to feed a family on budget). And make the time to train when you can. If you can't make it to the gym, at least go for a walk...something...ANYTHING! Exercise really is a great stress reducer, if you make yourself take that first step to actually begin.
You can do this. Never give up on yourself!

I've been very emo the last couple of days. I quit smoking. I read in the MISC about how some 22 year old kid just died of lung cancer, his screen name was StephenHawking...that was enough to make me quit that instance. I turned around and smashed my box of cigarettes and threw them in the trash and have not looked back.
The thing that really scares me is that I've had lung issues for the past 6+ months and they don't know what it is. IDK, I had tried to quit before but nothing really hit home until I read about that kid. I'm not sure if its the withdrawls or the fact that it scares the **** out of me, but I'm constantly fighting back tears. :(

Im gonna be going on a short week tour with my band and will be away from the weights, anyone got any helpful advice?
Depending on where you are staying, hotels will usually have a small fitness room with cardio equipment and some machines that can help you get a workout in. Can always jog through the neighborhood or around town wherever you are. What is the name of your band?

Oh wow. Its good to see that you have emotions on such an important topic. So many people just dont take smoking and its risks seriously, even when they have witnessed the deaths and damages within their own family or friends.
Congtatulations to your decision to quit smoking! I saw a chart in my doctors office (that I look at every visit) of a set of lungs at each stage after one stops smoking and it explains how the lungs heal over 1 hour, 2 weeks, 3 months, 1 yr, 5 yrs, 10 yrs, etc. and how each healing stage adds years back to your life. You should look at one.
There is a pill you can get at the health store specifically for lung maintanance. I bought a few bottles of it when I quit smoking myself in 2006.
There is also a hand size blowing machine that you get get off the internet or from your doctor. You blow into it and it tells you how much strength you have in your lungs and it makes you cough, which will help extract the gunk in your lungs. I do not know what that gadget is called.
I started stealing my dads MOORE cigarettes on my way to school in 6th grade. I never stopped until I was 34 years old. :(

o wow this is great news. I just quit smoking too about 6 + months ago. If you really want it you will do it. I was smoking since i was 11 yes 11 i am now about to turn 21 and i feel great, better then i ever did. And once you stop for good man you will see the difference in your health and how you feel. You will be able to smell better and everything. Im glad that we have one less person in this world who has a smaller chance of making the cigg companys our moneyand health. Great job and hang n there its not as hard as it seems and you will be free.

It makes me wonder if I had never started back, would I even be having problems now? idk...the good thing is that I can already notice a difference in energy. I was starting to feel a little weak from all of the cutting so I up-ed my macros for four days and then hit the diet again today. I'm feeling really good now. I think this weekend was the first time I've had butter in about two months.
I lifted this morning and did some cardio jump roping. If you want to see if your in shape grab a jump rope and see how long you can go. It's not as easy as it was when you were a kid.

Just one pound more and I will have reached an even 25. YahOoOoOoOoOoOoOo!!!!! The last weight I can remember being before before 332 was 305, so 305 is my next BIG number to catch!

Congrats to everyone who is still in the game. Congrats to everyone who lost weight this past week, gained muscle or set any PRs!
It was another good week for me, I checked in with another 2lb lost that takes me down to 223 lbs. and a total weight loss of 15 lbs. this far.
I am starting a new lifting routine on Thursday that will be a 4 day split consisting of 1 Main Compund lift each day and 2 accessory excercises. For the last set of each excercise I will be going to failure and each week I will increase the weights by 10%.
My knee that I had reconstructive surgery on has been giving me a little grief everysince last Saturday when I did a 60 minute HIIT session. I think I over did it but the IPOD was rocking and I was feeling so good I just kept going and going. Bad move, but I am working thru it.
10 Weeks............

Mike im srs tempted in using the EC stack i look at the rule but there nothing there regarding ephedrine, Ph, or steroids. Is it ok if i use it?
please do not comment whether is good or bad for my health, I have done ton of reading regarding how to use it the right way, keep track of my blood pressure(Im in the medical magnet in my school and learn how to read it correctly), and also know how to read my bpm.
EC is great, I use it all the time. No matter what any supplement companies claim no other legal supplement comes close to EC.
If this is your first time start out at low doses (100mg C + 12.5mg E) 2-3 times a day and increase as you go.

Hey all with me changing to all natural foods and only whey isolate protein. I have now lost 7 pounds!!! Since Monday !!!!! I have been working out hard also to I also found out that we are now allowed to work out with the Military Police Company we are assigned to! That is awsome we work with them as partners and we have PT test too just like them why not? We are even allow to do road marches with them as well! So Expect me to get in shape quick tommarrows PT is Cross Fit. The only problem I have to get up at 630am!! WHAT lol lol Any ways I cant wait to see how much I weigh Monday!!! Keep up the great work ya all oh and by the way before the contest started I weighed 207 something but I gained weight go figure but now Im only 2 pound from getting back down to where I started at and then keep marching on!

General update from me...
"Official Weigh in" for me is this Friday, I'm probably going to be up from last week's because I had a few (..4..) really bad cheat days. So I'm stepping up my efforts for the rest of this week and hopefully continuing into next to get back and stay on course. Hoping to hit 140lbs or less by the end of the month! I got a 6pk forming, but the shrinking spare tire still covers it too well for my liking. But it's right solid, all i gotta do is lose the fat, the abs are ready to pop!

Well, I'm now down 10 pounds since the start of the contest and I've lost 6.5 inches, 1.5" of that from my waist! Feeling pretty good right about now. I'm down 20+ lbs from the beginning of the year.
Yesterday I did sprints on the treadmill for my HIIT. It used to totally kick my butt. Now I'm feeling a lot better while doing them! Yesterday I ran 10 mph for 30 seconds. That's great for me, because I am no runner. I've been adding more cardio in, ever since last week, so I'm hoping to speed up the weight loss even more. I am almost the lightest I've been in 3 years, just need to lose like 3 more pounds.
By the end of the contest I would like to lose 15 more pounds, putting me around 160. I haven't been that small since high school, but I would look way better now because I am stronger than ever.
I know everyone else out there is working hard, so I am keeping up the effort! I would LOVE to win this thing!!

I'm having a really good week so far. I have been doing the Power 90 workout with my family; mom, stepdad, sister, and wife.
I'm going to start lifting with a friend of mine 4 days a week on top of that and of coarse 2.5-3 hrs of flag football every Sunday.

I had the WORST weekend and am now recovering and getting back to my regularly scheduled program finally. Moving forward with a new program, less muscle building, more fat burn! Mongo like!

Traps still sore from my wkt on Mon!
Cardio is going better now that I've been on some prednisone to reduce swelling in my nasal passages.
Still not happy with not losing much weight (but getting stronger, so may be adding some mass).
I look different in the mirror (delts stick out more, a hint of abs/obliques, a little more veiny...).
Hey, progress in one form or another is progress, right?!

Last 4 days have been pretty rough with little emergencies left and right and hubby having minor surgery yesterday. Through it all, yesterday was the only day I missed a workout. I tried, but there was absolutely no way to fit it in (that'swhatshesaid). Even had to dine out with the kidlet while waiting (and waiting and waiting...). Kidlet is 5. We drove around looking for a place not too bad...she saw a place with a big owl on the side and insisted. Since she was upset about her daddy, naturally I relented.
I took my 5 yr old to lunch...at hooters. *sigh* Luckily they had a grilled chicken sandwich. Took the chicken off the bun and had it with the lettuce and tomato they provided and laughed a lot as my daughter made innocent comments about the girls with hardly anything on. Yeah kid, that's why we should have gone somewhere else. *shakes head*
Anyway, stayed on track even with all this junk going on, and it's paying off. I'm pretty satisfied. Once hubby is good and settled, I'm off for a make up workout.

Cawiau, have you already been completely shaking things up? I've been changing workouts every 2 weeks and it's been working pretty well. Even adjusting to higher reps might help. Or try different cardio? Different HIIT? You could try 60 second sprints instead of 30 or vice versa...you gotta keep your body guessing! If you've already tried everything, well, just stick in there!! You've made great progress already and as long as you keep it up, you will bust that plateau!!! :)

i started today even thought i didnt if it was ok to use it during this contest.
i took half of full dose to tested(12.5 E + 100mg C) yesterday. blood pressure change a little after 1hr and was constant there after for 2 hr(checking every 30 min) and My bpm only rise 30bpm on average. I felt like i had taken 300-400mg of caffeine. felt good, im stim resistants so it did not made me jittery or anything.
Today i took half a dose at 5:30 and 10:30 and will take another at 3:30 preworkout
WAyyy better than a 40 dollar fatburner i have try i feel stupid spending that much when it dosent even come close to the EC stack(energy wise)

Carl I got sick of my plateau and spent one full day just fasting on liquids (water, lite juice, protein shake, etc.) and the scale was my friend again the next day.
Tip: I drank the water all day and stuff that wasnt water I spaced out every two hours and only drank the recommended derving every two hours. Its a pain to feel hungry for the day but it really may be the key to breaking your plateau as it was mine.
As for me, my weight is still inching downwards and hope to be another pound down by tomorrow!

After my Birthday next Sunday... I am going to increase my calories to 2500!
I don't think 2000 calories is working for me anymore and hopefully the extra calories will help me brake thru this plateau:)

Just switched gyms two days ago. It's very nice having a gym that's 5 min from both work and home. Today I got in a killer leg workout. I can barely walk up the stairs. Progressing finally!

Hello to all.
Kind of bummed out, I have mixed emotions for today. 4-21-10 makes a one year anniversary for loosing weight. I wanted to be down 100lbs for today. I did not make my short term goal. I am stuck around the 95lb mark. I’ll be happy about that.
I am still 100% better than I was this time last year.
But I will keep up my long term goal. Not to let my self get back to my old self & size.
Up a couple lbs this week. Too much coffee and a couple of cheats this week.
This week the Anti-Gym Gawds have been keeping me from the gym. With working 12hrs a day & yard work, I just can’t fit time for the gym. Hope by the time Saturday come around I’ll start back up.

Workouts have been going decent the last week.
Still having problems eating enough and getting enough calories in. Work makes it too difficult. Picked up a weight gainer (N-Large II) to help fill in the gaps, though. A lot easier to down a quick shake at work.

A friend of mine is coming tomorrow from out of state and will be staying probably til Monday morning. I will probably not have the time to log or post. I therefore will have to confess now to having pizza, beer and chickenwings.
But then again- maybe I am just saying that I am going to indulge to make everyone else feel it is safe to relax on their diets and in the meantime I am actually sticking with my diet while everybody else is becoming complacent. That would be very sneaky strategy.
Nah- I'm eating the pizza. :o
