Before September 2009 and after April 2010
Obviously it took me several months to lose 20 pounds. I had been experimenting with diet and exercise until I got it right for me- so it took patience and time. Now since the start of the OBF contest, my body has started to quit being so clingy with my weight loss and its getting easier to let it go now. Not much progress can be seen but the photos DO in their own way reflect a 20 pound weight loss.
Ps the photo says KetoTherapy's Progress pix but that was my old account name-its me.
Way to go girl! I have no doubt you'll smash your goal for May :)

Just a had a great chest and shoulder workout with some cardio afterward! Absolutely dead. Workouts are getting more consistent and my diet is gettin much better and I'm startin to stay on track longer. Thinkin about goin to the gym twice a day now, cardio in the morning and working out in the evening. Anyone think some cardio after my workout would be too much since I will be doin it in the morning, or should I be fine? Well, off to work now. thanks!

You dont have 35 lbs to lose IMO. You look right at 20% BF in that pic...
20% of 210 is 42 lbs of fat on ur body....
If you can keep your LBM, 168 would ber your LBM... So 190 and youd be pretty lean, like 12%... 185 for 10%ish.

my eating has been off today...thats what I get for sleeping in late.
I only had 2 meals until just now :O I dont know why I let time get away from me...Now im trying to pack in some calories lol.
Did yoga X earlier today and it was awesome...for my size I was surprised I could do the "Wheel" Pose LOL...I have always been somewhat flexible.
Also just got back from 30 minutes of brisk walking around the local park.
Realized it was 7:30 and I only ate 2 times day so just shoved in
8oz of milk
PB on slice of toast
3oz string cheese
going to eat again in an hour lol

Can't believe all this time flew by already, I already have a yellow card to my name, glad I've been staying busy with the workouts, now have to make sure to post as I can't miss anymore weeks.
Diet has been dead on and results are coming great, I am not doing a personal log at the time due to time..., however, I am spending all of the time i have left in the day for training, oh yeah and kitchen remodeling!!!;)

Original goal- To weigh in at 341 by April 6th. THIS GOAL NOT ONLY WAS REACHED BUT I BEAT IT BY 5 POUNDS!
Next goal is to reach 330 pounds by May 5th.
This is only a 5 pound loss since the start of contest.

...and keepin my eye on the body that inspires me. I would have to lose more weight than what I have set my goal for to be as small as Jen, but I love her body and it gives me the drive to bring me closer to my dreams.

I'm going to take some progress pics b/t now and the end of the week. I'm starting to get a little frustrated b/c I haven't really lost that much weight compared to everyone else in this thread. My sister (that lives out of town) said she though I was losing and she didn't know I was dieting...so that's good. I was down to 277 (from 283) on sunday but shot up to 280 after easter even though I didn't go crazy on the food. I'm hoping its water retention so I'm upping my water intake. Hopefully, everything will get flushed out soon. You're not the only one. I've been flatline pretty much through the program so far. My bodyfat is down 1.5%, I dropped 5 lbs down to 313, but I'm back up to 315. /not quite sure what is going on, I should have dropped more fat by now with as much cardio/lifting I am doing.

04-07-2010, 08:11 PM
ok well I fell thru my mamas back porch today. I am all jacked up. My left side from my ribs to my ankle looks like a wild cat attacked me. My ankle, knee, ribs and lower back is all out of sorts and quite frankly I am a hurting unit and also pissed because I had an appt to see my dr for a follow up tomorrow and the office called and cancelled me so now I cant see him for my fall.
I dunno what to do. I can still do upper body exercises if I am careful about my back and ribs, but lower body is not an option so this is going to slow me way down as if this challenge wasnt hard enuff, sheesh.
Diet will stay in check which is good but how can ya lose weight on just dieting? Im really ticked. Im crazy upset. Im sorry, I usually will not post negative crap, as I prefer to lift everybodys spirits for the contest but this WILL compromise my results. Now what!
http://www.pictures-of-cats.org/images/american-bobcat-middle.jpg
Hey man keep your spirits up, im struggling with tendonitis in a few spots so i have some things slowing me down a bit too, but you have to adapt and overcome, you still have time!

So I guess by reading the thread that I was lucky that I missed Easter this year! Seems like everyone is recovering nicely from Easter Weekend. Did anybody make any major changes this year that helped? I would like to hear about them and how well they worked.

Thursday is my normal weigh-in. But I am skipping it today.
I was back on track from the Easter pig out til last night I had a BIG supper (and 2 beers with a buddy shooting pool)
Plus this morning is my pre-scheduled cheat meal- taking dad to breakfast.
I'm just telling myself it was a "re-feed" and get back to it.

I am really just so umimpressed. I made all my food yesterday and packaged it since I'm working a 24hr shift, and got up at 4:45am to make sure I could do my cardio and have time to shower before work.
So...it's now 5:33am and my ex (aka my kids dad) still hasn't shown up, when he said he would just come over after work last night. I can't very well leave my almost two year old home alone.
And his phone is off, and I work at 7am. Frustration. And you know why he's not here? The same reason he never shows up when he says he's going to. He went to the mother-effin bar again last night. I am willing to bet on it.

ya, I think it is but I'm willing to keep using it until about 2 week before the end of the contest.
I just logged all my food and thought I was eating a whole lot more...but turned out I'm only consuming around 1800 calories lol...guess it goes to show you how much food you can eat when its mostly veggies and lean meats.

I lost a pound or two since last weekend, but look bigger and fuller. I've been taking longer rest periods between workouts since last week and I notice that since then I've gained mass. I've also been getting more sleep. I think my body's trying to tell me something. Overall I'm around the same weight though.

I shedded off some weight today in form of a loan its totally paid off!!! Woot woot, Todays work out will be Yoga X and Zumba on post along with walking a mile afterwards. I also went to the knee doctor and they said Im rehabing my self beaaautifully!!! They put me on a profile for 2 weeks to help me absorb some of my last shots for the tight ITB band in my left leg. But she was amazed of my progress and my cartiledge has thickend as well!! who knew? So the pain is only from my ITB band being tight..... I was amazed I thought it would only get worse and worse!!!!

So this week I started my cardio routine to prepare for a 5K Run/walk with my wife. On Monday I finished 2.5 miles in 31:58 and today I finished 2.5 miles in 23:40 so I shaved almost 8 1/2 mintues off my time from Monday. Walked at 3.0-3.5 mph for 2 minutes and sprinted at 10 mph for 1 minute. Started with a 5 min warm-up and finished with a 5 mintue Cool Down.
I am feeling really refreshed right now and full of energy. Funny how running hard just charges the mind and body!

If using a electronic BF% machine i have heard it is better at night. You have more water in your system at night than in the morning. That what "THEY" say..

The electronic ones are WAY off for me. I don't think they are calibrated for someone my size. I was talking about calipers.

electronic ones are off for me too. I took three electronic ones and they all said 29%-31%, then I had 2 people take it with calipers and they were at 38%.

Yeah, they fluctuate like crazy depending on how hydrated you are. I was getting 35-40% on the scales and 26ish w/ the calipers.

well it wasn't the scale I was using. It was the BIA machine. Where you have diodes on the finger and foot and measure the resistance.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been lifting as heavy as I can lately. Monday was leg day and up until today my legs, back, traps, and forearms were sore as could be. I felt like I got hit by a train. I give all the credit to hack squats. I'd never used them before and they kicked my ass. lol

Omg...I did the complete opposite! This past Monday after Easter I went and bought all the Easter candy I could on sale and stuck it all in my freezer, next to my thin mints...lol. Ok the spelling is suppose to be "SHIMMY" so with that explained- this is what I have been practicing to. This belly dancing training is on the Fit station daily so I have really enjoyed this exercise. Once I get it down pat, I want to be able to control every muscle in my body and move smoothly like a snake as Rachel Brice does. She is sexy hot and is in control of her every move- but too slow for me...I like speed, lol. But Rachel is QUEEN of belly dance in case ya wanna check her out. She is like a tough girl, lol, and perhaps slightly gothic? Enjoy the video.
PS These gals in this vid are not Rachel Brice.
I have opened a new body group so if you are a belly dancer or interested in it join my group!

I love bellydancing! I will totally have to join :) Thanks for creating one. How long have you been bellydancing?
Anyway, as for my update for the week. Feeling great from sticking to mostly whole foods (I did have a bit of chocolate this week, super yummy, hard to resist= no will power.) :(
However, I have lost a half inch of my waist (finally). It has been stuck at 34" for awhile. Hopefully soon I will be back to where I was in Janurary/early Feb.
Exercise was minimal as things has been reallly busy. I stuck to a quick basic routine to get strength done usuing my body weight as I was working (Squats, Crunches, Push-Ups etc). Did some dancing and walking as well. So overall I probably did more then some weeks!
Sadly, it is getting really hot in Florida and I can't really handle the heat. My aunt told me we had an indoor bike (which I totally forgot about) in the garage last night. So that may help. She also lent me a huge sun hat. So I can keep walking at least, wouldn't run with that thing on :P. Anyway, glad she gave me the hat. Now if I wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and the hat I can reduce the sun intake I get, and hopefully won't get burned. I can get burned in 24*C wearing 100SPF...let alone 28 or higher.... The sun is just so much more potent here then Toronto at the same temperatures.

Today it's a good thing this thread is here. I didn't get home till 7:30am this morning, and then got into a fight with my ex. so now it's 8:30am and I probably don't have time to go to the gym and get my workout B from nrolfw in, but I can do an at home crossfit workout after I eat my breakfast!
But that grilled cheese I can make has been sorely tempting me! However, after reading this thread (no word of a lie) I'm gonna just eat my meal plan breaky! And then do my at home work out!
Thanks for helping keep me on track all!

I weighed in this morning at a very nice 225lbs. The puts me at a total weightloss of 13 pounds since starting this journey 5 weeks ago. My stomach is getting smaller and smaller and my upper body is shreadding the weight as well. Now If I can just get the lower body to join the program a little more I will be in business. Honestly I just started hitting the legs pretty hard last week and this week so I expect things to get better in that area very soon.
I have also ramped the cardio up this week by following a 12 weeks to your first 5K program for beginning runners. However I modified it a bit to mix in s few HIIT sessions on non-lifting days.
About to head to the gym for arms and back and carb depletion work-out and then it is off to Pot Belly's for a Chicken Salad Sandwich and Milkshake.....Yummy I like Carb-up days!

I need to stop looking at the scale everyday...my weight has been going crazy this week. Started off at 255, dropped to 248 in 2 days and now im at 250....even though I have been at a deficit this entire week. I read that starting a new lifestyle and working out you tend to hold onto water to help with muscle repair which correlates with when my soreness started and so did the gain in weight. I took a liking to belly dancing 2-3 yrs ago. There is a Arabian Casbah Cafe here in Jacksonville, Florida that I LOVE going to. Their belly dancers are awesome. I love the whole setting actually, lol, good foods, hookahs, belly dancers and beer-yum. You are the only responce I saw regarding the belly dancing... I guess this crowd doesnt care for it.
When you say whole foods, do you mean organic? My family is a whole foods family. My sister just left working at the WholeFoods Market recently-it was great to get the huge discounts while she was there!
I know this sounds unbearable, but the more time ya spend in the Florida heat, the easier you can handle it. I moved here 6 yrs ago from snowy Colorado so a HUGE prob it was for me as well. Colorado summers are also hot, but Florida is a killer. Just dont hide from the heat get your feet wet. Every summer I have to break myself in all over again.
Ive been sick for the past 3 weeks and currently have strep. It will be at least 4 weeks until I last saw a weight.
Oh well that is no good reason to back out at all. My mom has been in the hospital all week, I fell thru a rotted porch and am all bruised, scraped up and joints are out of place, lol and I just got over a chest cold that hung out for 2 1/2 weeks accompanied by a fever that had my temp at 102.4 for days!
So my gym time has been depleted to at home exercises and at minimal at that. Its discouraging to depend on mostly diet, but we can do this.
Look at the replys you have had, dont leave the contest, just get thru it and return with a bang!

YES keep looking at the scale! Its trying to tell you to figure out which foods are causing you water/fat gains. If you have been in a deficit, you may be eating something that your body is reacting negatively to- so log what ya eat and watch the scale to find out what it is that spikes your weight and trash the item(s) from your diet. My item that treated me the worst was Pizza Hut pizza, one thin skinny slice gained me 5 pounds! It was ridiculous. Papa Murphys pizza doesnt put weight on me at all.

ive been very inspired by everyone here but its been a struggle for me to keep going and going and going. i lost one more pound but it could have been more if i put more effort into my diet. i exercise at the gym more than i diet and i know that isnt good. when i am here at moms house she doesnt let me get away with eating crap lol. i am doing the belly dancing with her too. fit tv has the shimmy program and it goes real slow to teach you how to dance then at the end it goes real fast i like it and i love their costumes too. its good exercise for my off days from the gym. tomorrow is our cheat day too so i might come to moms again for her bbq. i passed some good job reps out to some people. have a nice day.

I'll be checking that out today. Although it's not like my numbers aren't bad enough as they are...heh. Thanks for the tip! If I cry about it once I get them...it's all your fault. ;)

The electronic calipers are GREAT! I've used it on a client directly after using a manual read caliper and the difference is HUGE! It takes out so much of the guesswork.

Hang in there! We're all real people with real lives. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and set us back (or things we can can control, but choose not to in a moment :p). We still have a long way to go in this contest. Just do what you can for now and don't let what you can't do bother you.

I took some progress pics and was disappointed at first. I have lost over 6" and now that I really look I can see less fat on thighs and shoulder blades. Now I don't feel so bad...slow and steady.
The first pics are March 1st and the second pics are April 8th.

Ok I have good news for you, lol. WOW! You have made the change. I see more definition in your back as well as less fat. Also, in your update photos I can see light shining thru between your lower and upper thighs and your arms are thinned out too.
CONGRATULATIONS and ty for sharing your progress.

You're really rockin it bro, Keep up the great work. You have some nice logs.
Why you stalking my stools brah!?
I am glad you are enjoying your new gym. I wish they had some Golds down here. You are getting leaner for sure!
I like it so much better then 24 hour. I'm looking at getting a good light commercial eliptical or other good cardio for the home.

I have to admit this challenge hasn't been going great for me, partly because I am not willing to sacrifice my strength, so my weight loss has slowed down. That said, I did hit one of my big goals today and weighed in at 199.8 lbs just a few minutes ago.
And I know I can go lower. Feels good :)

Yeah, trying to refrain from making inapprop comments about the last picture....
But the progress you've made is VERY noticeable in the last month. Waist is noticeably thinner, you can see a ton more definition in your back (just look at the area around your scapulas), and your glutes are much improved (that's the nice/scientific way of saying your ass is looking much better/tighter). Really that's an impressive change in one months time. Keep up the good work.

First, welcome back WIULifter!!
I hope that when this week is over I can get back into it, starting on Tuesday!
Yea this week is already bleeding over to Monday. Then I should start hitting
the gym again!
Weighed In today at 205lbs this week. Same as last Friday, bummer. I was hoping
to be lower this week, oh well I will not stop trying! I have been doing extra hours
at work. Extra hours at work = extra coffee at work.
Hope lower work hours (back to 40 a week, not any lower) will turn into more hours in the gym!!
To All: Keep up the good work!!!

Do you mean in general or 20 pounds lost for the contest only?
From January to March I lost 16 pounds in a snap-o...during the month of March to current thru the contest I lost 5 more pounds in not such a snap-o.
For me the first weight loss was a fast elimination of fluids. At about 18 pounds the weight loss slowed way down.
Then I cut back on cals and food portion sizes, increased exercise (til I fell thru a porch that is) and even still...weight loss is creeping off slowly.
My diet is in check and I am doing very well. My initial goal was to hit 341 by April 6th and I beat that by 5 pounds.

ya, I think it is but I'm willing to keep using it until about 2 week before the end of the contest.
No, keep using creatine the whole time. It increases water retention within your muscles which is exactly what you want.
anyone know the best time to take your bf%? I'm guessing first thing in the morning?
Body fat contains very little water so it should make very little difference.
I feel you bro, after sitting for more than 10 minutes I can't get up that's how sore I've been over the last few days!
It'll get better with BCAA's and Glutamines.
If you're eating enough protein neither will do anything for you.
I am really craving a burger for some reason...but im so sore i dont want to move...so I guess thats a good thing lol.
Nothing wrong with a burger. Just make sure it's lean meat.

The strangest thing happened to me tonight. I went to the grocery store after my workout to buy some eggs. I walked past a freezer filled with icecream and I felt disgusted just looking at it.
What the h3LL is wrong with me. I love icecream and it loves me. I know it's not a permenant thing and I will probably have cravings for it tomorrow or next week or next month. But it was kind of cool to have that reaction tonight cause I feel like I am back on track from the dietary goof ups since Easter.

Thanks Vanillabn!
Omg...I did the complete opposite! This past Monday after Easter I went and bought all the Easter candy I could on sale and stuck it all in my freezer, next to my thin mints...lol. Maybe I shouldn't have done that? Can't help it though...knowing it's there for me when I reach my goal weight helps motivate me. : D
That's a great idea! The funny thing with me is if the stuff is in the house I will want to eat it.. I would not go out and buy a chocolate bar, or any form of candy for that matter, so I don't know why I feel the need to eat it if it's here. Does anyone else feel like this? Or do I just have a lack of willpower in my own house?? LOL.
I am really craving a burger for some reason...but im so sore i dont want to move...so I guess thats a good thing lol.
Well, a burger is not that bad... you could always make it a grilled chicken or lean turkey burger...
Today my sweet tooth was just killing me... so had a slice of cheesecake!
GOD, it tasted so freaking awesome:D:D:D
Im just glad Im not the only person having those silly cravings!

So here I sit, on another friday night while everyone I know goes out and parties. I'm hittin' the hay early, and then doing my cardio in the morning. Can't do it to well with a hangover!
I'll sacrifice the "good times" now, and reap the rewards in the future!

Having some awesome progress. Down a few more inches and able to wear 4 new pairs of jeans i bought about 3 years ago for when i was going to "lose just a few more pounds" to wear but didn't. Feels great to finally be there and wear them!
I'm about 215lbs but getting very close to 214lbs and i even did a 2 day carb up on sunday and monday so everything i gained from that is long gone.
That's about -18lbs for this contest SO FAR.
Thank goodness for keto cuz i can never keep a diet clean that involved carbs.

This is awesome, I believe I'll reach my goal of 190 by the end of this contest! Bought a couple pairs of golf shorts that I have to fit into real soon, down to 1 pair because of all the weight gain this winter :( Have a closet full of clothes that don't fit lol

Its way too hard for me to see anything in those teeny tiny pix, lol. At least if ya crop the new ones it will make them appear closer to the same size as the originals and that would help me out a lil bit. Distance fluctuation can change how ya look all over.
Thank you. But don't go worrying yourself too much cuz i'm in the women's contest. :)

Hi Guys!
I went to my parents' place over Easter weekend.. my cheat day turned into.. cheat days. Was so busy, and missed a few days in the gym. But I've been home since Tuesday, and back at the gym and eating well. Though, it's exam time for me so I have been too busy to keep up with this thread.. need to catch up and will post a giant update in my log today.
I slept in this morning for the first time in.. oh.. two years. LOL! Felt good.

Well, I'm ragingly angry again. I should have known that my ex wouldn't show up in the morning to spend the day with the kiddo.
Promised he'd be here at 10am so I could get to the gym and he could spend the day with him since he didn't work last night.
It's now 11am and haven't heard from him. Not that this is anything new. So frustrated!
I guess I'll just start getting a sitter and when he's willing to put in the effort, he can let me know.
So, no cardio today - unless we manage to get some in at work.
I'm friggin livid. I can't even put into words how stressed out I am right now.

Hey :)
I use this one all the time:
1 egg
1 serving of egg whites
.5 cup low fat cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla whey
1 tsp baking powder (optional)
.5c-1c Ground Oats (I usually add until it reaches a good consistency)
.5 Cup of cut up fruit ( Good ones to try are banana, blueberry, strawberry)

I usually do something along the lines of:
1 egg
1-2 egg whites
1 scoop milk protein isolate
1-2 tbsp ground flax
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
enough milk to make it the right consistancy
You can also throw in frozen blueberries if you want. This will make one big pancake or 2 half pan sized pancakes. It's very filling. It tends to be a little dry so I like to use 100% fruit spread, a little real maple syrup, or sugar free syrup on it.

Sure.
I just spent 8 days at the hospital for my mama last week. Pack up a bag full of diet ready foods TODAY that do not need to be refrigerated so you can grab your bag on the way out the door. Take a few gallons of water too. Keep the nurse busy with ice refills as the ice will give your mouth something to do between snacks/meals.
CAUTION:
Dont forget to take your own utensils and napkins, so you do not have to find yourself straying of to the cafeteria to get plastic ones like I did...you may never find your way back to your wife and baby, lol. I ate at the cafeteria and closed my eyes but I could still smell the hot foods :( . I ate a salad but wanted their pizzas and burgers.
For exercise:

If I need/want the carbs I go with this one
40g oats (if I have time I'll stick them in the coffee grinder to make an oat flour)
4 egg whites
1-2 TBSP milk depending on consistency
1 TSP baking powder
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of Splenda
For syrup I just microwave whatever berry (blueberry, raspberry, strawberry) is in season or which ever frozen one is in the freezer.
If I need a lower carb recipe, I go with the Scivation pancake, topped with the same microwaved berried. Also instead of Psyllium Husk, I just use wheat germ or oat bran and a TSP of baking powder.

And growing up how I had to get size 12-16 to be comfortable...
I tried on the men's pants too and fit into the 32 waist no problem(kinda loose), but the 30 waist was more comfortable overall, I just couldn't button them up... I think my hips are too big (the bones, though :))

All this discussion about protein pancakes made me realize I hadn't made them in a while so this morning I decided on...
Protein Waffles
http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/8599/img0096zr.jpg
Ingredients
1/4 cup (40g) rolled oats
1 scoop (25g) milk protein isolate
1 tbsp ground flax
1 tbsp whole wheat flour
1 egg
1 egg white
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 pinch of good cinnamon
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 cup frozen strawberries
Directions
Put dry ingredients in a blender and blend until oats are a flour-like consistency.
Add egg, egg white, milk and blend. While blending add peanut butter. Depending on your blender you may need to stop it and scrape dry ingredients from the sides to make sure everything mixes properly.
Make waffles! While the waffles are cooking heat strawberries in a microwave until warm/hot.
Cover waffles in strawberries and eat.
Makes about 1 and 2/3 waffles.
Notes
I used 1 tbsp of peanut butter but I recommend 1/2 tbsp instead. The added fat made the waffles nice and fluffy on the inside like normal waffles but I found 1 tbsp added too much flavor that didn't really seem right in a waffle.
If you use whey protein instead of MPI use less milk. MPI (and casein specifically) is a natural binder and thickener. Using whey will result in a thinner batter.
You don't need to mix everything in a blender, I did it that way because I already had the oats in it and figured why not.

Anyway, I had them (my Aunts Kids) for the weekend, so super tired for lack of sleep, and no strength or anything. hey everyone!
last night at a bbq I had an amazing broccoli salad. It had broccoli, mayo, cheese, red onion and bacon in it. Wondering if anyone may have a healthy version of a broccoli salad. I'm sure I could use low fat mayo and cheese, but not sure how to substitute the bacon, and that's what made the salad so yummy I think. Perhaps turkey bacon, or is there a soy product that imitates bacon?

Cardio (yes, can you believe it?!): I was not so out of breath today, so I ran/walked 1.5 miles outside at HS track. Ran the straights, walked the curves. Got some sun along the way.
Also... I gained two lbs!
Not sure if it's a combo of not doing cardio this past week and/or getting stronger/gaining some mass.
Still, not quite what I had in mind towards my goal!

Checking in...
Had a rough two weeks again. It's my busy season at work and I have been on the road traveling a lot. Haven't dropped any pounds however I have not gained either so it could be worse.

Ok, so I made it through the week in Florida with 91 high school students! Diet was pretty much out the window, well maybe not that bad, but I DID make it to the hotel gym twice for a little weight workout. Didn't even want to think about using their elliptical or treadmill since I spent four days in four Disney parks WALKING everywhere!
Since I was on the bus traveling home when I should have weighed in today, I have decided just to wait until next Sunday. Don't want to discourage myself, just in case it was a bad weight week.
Good Luck on Week 6 EVERYONE!!!

The weeks have been really flying by! Been extremely busy with work and exhausted when I'm off. I think that's been my biggest challenge so far. Well worth it though. Looking to really step it up another notch these last 2 1/2 months. Kick up the workouts and get a little more strict with the diet.
oh and you have definitly been missing a few days every week how you going to beat me doing that lol,,,,,,,
Now Josh, just bc he isn't there the same time you are doesn't mean he wasn't there that day!!
Btw those Waffels looked amazing! :)

Alright, I found my inspiration body. I obviously won't look the same as her, but she's at the level of fitness I want to achieve one day!
Tannis Miller.
I'm going to be creepy and print out some of her pictures and put them on my fridge and maybe in my workout bag!!!
I just told my friend that I want to look close to her and he went "Holy crap?! Seriously?! DO IT!!!"

Care to post a picture of her so we know what she looks like? (in case we don't... like me lol)
I'm doing alright this week.. my weight is slowly creeping down... waiting for a whoosh to occur... hopefully tomorrow (or just before my weighin friday lol)

in the biceps and traps especially. A consequence of being able to really push it as I wasn't so out of breath!
Looking forward to being able to clear up my sinuses and cranking up the cardio!
For now I will have to keep a close eye on the calories.

FINALLY! Took me a whole week and 2 days to get back to my pre-easter weight... so from here on out, I am keeping my cheat to a minimum:mad:
Anyway, new week, new beginning, new goals. My birthday is in 2 weeks and my gift to my self is 5 lbs... so I better get to work:)

Week 6 already??? Time really does seem to be flying by... this guy really needs to "pull up his socks" and get to it!!
EDIT: Went to the Provincial bodybuilding comp on the weekend, there's nothing like a bodybuilding show to show you how out of shape you really are.... but there's also nothing better than a bodybuilding show to really get the motivation going either!

Had a good weekend. No cheats or anything, usually my weekends get the best of me. I didnt workout tho, instead I done alot of boating and fishing. I caught a 30 lb catfish. Anyway today my muscles are sore as if I worked out and I was thinking about it and balancing yourself while trying to pull in a big fish is a good core builder LOL.

Craptastic weekend for me. After two weeks of fighting a cough, got sick mid last week, went to the Dr to find out my lungs are full of fluid (of course the obvious sign was not being able to breathe). Thurs-today off, Dr. says take it easy this week to kick the crud out. Not quite sure how I'll fit stuff in this week, don't want to push too hard.

Went out yesterday for the first mountainbike trail ride of the season (did do 2 road rides the other week). Was about 3 hours with only 2 of which were actual riding because I kept getting sick- first ride of the season tends to do that until the cardio gets up to speed. It still felt good to get out.

I didn't have the time in the evening, and the prejudging was a little earlier than I wanted to wake up...
I bet it was awesome though!

Make sure you look at the disqualified list to see if you are on it. I do not want any surprises or arguements. It's your responsibility to make sure you post, and if you have been DQ'd, to check your post history in this thread.
If it happened that I accidentally missed one of your posts DQ'ing you, you have to let me know and then I will investigate.
Thanks!

down 8 pounds this week, did check scale today since I dont want to become a nazi about it. I will be checking in on it next sunday, but my body is feeling good so hopefully it will take care of me :D.
Also decided to go as long as possible without a cheat meal, wierd since everytime i think about it I dont want that bloated feeling and it stops me lol.

I had a long hard weekend of yard work so I didn't want to get up and swim laps this morning at 5 am...but I did! Yeah for me!!! Took measurements this morning and I've lost another 1/2" off my thighs and almost 1/2" off my arms. I had my body fat taken and I've lost about 7% so far this contest. Feels Good!!!!!

Definitely get yourself healthy first. Just keep a clean diet until you can train again. You won't lose any ground until then so don't worry about it too much.

Got down with the sickness this weekend which was no bueno. I'm on my way back up though and ready for a serious week (+weekend! I need to remember that!)! I'm so amazed by how many people are seeing amazing results so far though! What a great contest <3
I've been trying to calculate my needed calorie intake with no success. I now have a tablet full of numbers and no idea which one is right. If anyone has any advice, see my cry for help in my log lol. I'm kind of winging the general calorie amount daily and it feels uneasy. Hopefully I can get it figured out soon!
Good luck on the next week guys!
PS - Belly dancing is such a great idea Tropix. I might just look into a video this weekend :)

I got this app called GymGoal for Ipod touch and its sweet
I usually decide what exercises I am doing today but when I get to the gym I change the plan up, this app has helped me for the first time in 5 years to keep my original plan..
The little quotes motivated me too
Had a awesome chest and triceps day today

Take time to heal now. It's a lot better than being forced to take time a bit later when you've pushed yourself into serious illness territory and it's weeks or months instead of days.
Hope you feel better soon!
