I'm not going to bore you with my life story. I'm just a fat chick that wants to look and feel healthier. I'm in this competition because i do better with something to work towards and be held accountable for. PLUS winning all those supplements would be sweet!

Went to the gym for my first workout and did the basics with medium weight (More detail later). I'm sure i'll be nice and sore tomorrow. :) Getting up to do some cardio on the elliptical before work.

Thank you. Keto is perfect for me. I believe it's the only thing i'll ever do to lose weight. Anything with carbs makes my skin break out and gives me cravings. Plus it's delicious!! I'm off to make me a bacon and cheese omelet. :)

I skipped cardo this morning. Got to bed a little late last night and my whole body is sore from yesterday when i woke up. Work will be great today. lol

Once i get home tonight i'll go more into detail with what i eat, how much, and my workouts.

Accountability helps me as well. Plus my teeny-tiny (maybe not so teeny-tiny) competitive streak thrills at the challenge. Good luck and work hard!

I'm still pretty sore from lifting so i went in for 36mins of cardio. I plan to lift either tomorrow or Monday. I'm ready to post my pics in the official thread cuz i keep thinking about it 24/7 so i don't forget.

Supplements i'm taking:

Syntrax Nectar protein (fuzzy navel flavor)
Multi vit
Fish oil caps
Fiber supplement

I'm doing the keto diet. Shooting for 1800-1900 calories. Here is what i ate today in no order:

4 eggs
shredded cheese
broccoli with a little ranch
2 cheese sticks
4 slices bacon
mayo
large sausage link
ground beef
sour cream
Protein shake
2 little slim jims
Steamed broccoli

Will go into detail about lifting after my next workout.

I do have a keto log but it's really long. I've got almost 300 posts in the thread but it's also been up since June 09.

Had a crap weight workout today. Blah. So weak and couldn't lift anything.

3 sets with 6-10 reps

Bench- 95lbs
Leg press- 270lbs
Upright barbell row- 50lbs
Romanian deadlift- 50lbs
Dumbell curl- 25lbs
Tricep rope pushdown- 80lbs

I'm will up the weight and add in more exercises later but for now until i'm use to lifting after a very long break from it, this is enough.

Well, i'm down 10lbs after the first week of dieting and exercising. All the water weight is gone and it's time to get down to burning the fat!

I took the day off today. I'll go in for some cardio in the morning before work.

I took a Zumba class at my gym yesterday. It was fun but i'm the perfect example of a "white girl" trying to shake my bootie. Oh well, maybe i'll try again now that i've got some of the steps down and get a better workout next time too.

My goal for the OBF is to get down to 195lbs by the end and place so i can get my hands on all those supplements. :)

Diet has been great. Sticking around 1800-1900 calories seems to be working for me right now. Haven't cheated at all and getting all my veggies in.

Congrats on your sucess so far! I heard Zumba was a lot of fun as well. I should look into what classes are in my area... it is an idea at least. Anyway, keep up the great work!!

Hey Sky. Ever thought about putting in some LISS cardio after your weight sessions?

Keep it up!

Thank you. Yeah if you like to dance the class is def for you. I'm more sporty and probably would have like step aerobics better but it was a fun class and i'm glad i tried it.

Thanks! Yeah, once i start getting into shape i'll add a bit of light cardio after my full body workouts. It takes me a few weeks until i start hitting the gym hard. I haven't been in the gym since Nov. so i'm trying not to kill myself too soon. ;)

I end up lifting 2-3 times a week and doing cardio about 3-4 times a week. At least once or twice a week i'll double it up and do weights in the morning and cardio at night.

Today i did about 40mins cardio. Now it's time for work :(

Took the day off because of a 2 hour test in the morning and work from afternoon til night. Will get up before work tomorrow and get some cardio in. Diet is still on track.

Thinking of carbing up only when i stall in weight for the week. I'm guessing it will be about every 3 weeks. I have enough fat to hold off on carbing up so much. Plus it's just an excuse to eat way too much crap :)

Yes we can. :)

Today was weights which went pretty well. Tomorrow will be cardio and enjoying the nice weather.

I'm lowering my calories to around 1700 because i think i'm eating a bit too much sticking around 1800-1900. I'll see how it goes.

Ok i'm hitting about 1700 calories and i'm already down 2 more pounds.

Today i did 52mins on the elliptical. Awesome workout. Felt great!

I'm also making sure i'm getting in at least 94oz of water too which seems to help loads.

Well, tomorrow i work most of the day so i don't think i'll hit the gym. Thursday though i'll be hitting the weights hard.

Ok it's been another week and i've dropped a couple pounds. Diet has been fantastic and i've been getting my weight and cardio workouts in as much as possible.

I'm down 14lbs in about 3 weeks. Feels awesome. :D It'll start to slow down a bit now that i have no water weight to lose but so far i'm shrinking in a good way.

For my cardio i've been trying to hit around 45-50 mins. Seems to be helping a lot.

Planning to have a carb up on easter but will try to make it not too dirty.

Anyways, i'll post more later!

About time to update! I'm seeing 209.5lbs on the scale but i always round up. I haven't been this light in 6 years. I'm stocked and working my @ss off to drop more weight before this contest is over.

I stalled at 211lbs a little over a week ago but carbed up then lower calories again and now i'm dropping weight.

Feels great!

I can't wait to be under 200lbs! Just a few more weeks! 22lbs down for the contest so far!

I currenly sick but still trying to get in a few workouts. My diet is very solid which is why i'm still losing some weight.

-26lbs so far and counting

I feel amazing and can see that the 100's are only a few weeks away.

I'm off for a workout. :)

I hit as low as 199lbs but did a carb up that turned into a night of drinking and another carb up so i'm sitting a few pounds heavier than i would like.

Still hitting the weights hard 2x a week and trying to get cardio in 3x a week. I want to hit 195lbs before this contest is over.

Sitting at -30lbs from start of contest

I need to get in more walking but the weather has been horrible. Dogs are getting very whinny and ready for better weather!

You are kicking ass!!! Is low carbing the key to your success? Or is it persistence?

Gotta be honest...keto has been the best thing for me. I could never stick to a diet before that i could have carbs with. With keto i am able to stick to this diet and not quit. I have no problem with the food and cravings are gone. Been on keto for a while now and will never "diet" with anything else ever again.

I lift 2x a week and get in about 3 days of cardio each about 50mins long mod. effort.

Well i did it! I'm under 200lbs. I'm giving myself 3 more days to drop to 196lbs or i'm going to carb up for the last time before this contest is over. I'm seeing 197.4lbs as of this morning. So, we will see what happens.
I'd love to hit 192lbs by the end of this contest. That will bring me to -40lbs total if that happens. I just want to leave myself time to lose the weight from the carb up in time before the final pics are due.

As for workouts i've moved up to 50lbs dumbbells for flat bench and soon to be 55lbs.

My before and after pics wont be as amazing as some of the others because i'll still be pretty large but i'd say 2lbs + a week is great and i couldn't be happier.

Anyways, i'll update with what i decide to do about a carb up or not here in a few days.

So, i decided to carb up which i think was a good idea and perfect timing. My little carb up ended up being a night of drinking and then followed by 2-3 days of crappy food. Mentally it was awesome but i wasn't feeling too well of course.

So, back to the diet and i'm only up 3lbs or so from the carb up. Not too bad as i think the total from the 3 days was +13lbs.

I've been able to eat about 2k+ calories and still lose the water weight. Today will be my last 2k+ food day and then tomorrow will lower it to 1800k then 1500-1600k for the final push in the contest.

I'm still gunning for 192lbs by the 3rd. That will put me at -40lbs for the contest if i can make it. :)

Sky22
06-18-2010, 08:38 AM
Alright i'm back to 198lbs which has been my lowest for the contest and now it's time to bust the last 6lbs off before the contest ends! I'm really excited to do this.

I have work at weird times the next couple days so i'll probably make myself do some cardio later in the day even though i can't stand to workout anytime after 1pm.

2 weeks left!! :)
