View Full Version : Trying Keto....again!!1

Hi everyone! Forgive me if there is a link somewhere or a thread- if so please redirect me!!

I am starting keto...trying to get into keto ......

I know to basically eat only greens for carbs and high fats, but I can't for the life of me remember if I count ALL the carbs- like even the fiber content in my greens when I count my max 30 g of carb per day...

Here is a typical day for me...no keto yet-

6 am - 3 whole ggs
9 am- protein shake- 30 g protein, 2 g carb, 1 g fat- I add 1 tbsp nut butter to this
12 pm- 5 oz chicken/other protein, large salad or asparagus with 2 tbsps macadmia nut oil
3 om- 1 hard boiled egg
workout
postworkout- same shake as above with 1 tbsp nut butter
6 pm- 5 oz protein, salad w 1tbsp mac oil
9 pm- shake - same as above


Could it be the nut butters keeping me out of ketosis? I know there are some carbs...but minimal right?
I have 3 tbsps a day currently of nut butter. Thanks!

From the looks of it, not enough fat too many shakes...

yeah get rid of the shakes one is enough thats way too many

All of the stickies on the top of the page will help you out with these questions. Fiber is excluded from total carb count,count the remainder. Eat up your veggies. Post workout carbs don't count. If you want to add 15 g of dextrose to your pwo shake it's all good. But the calories still count.
