View Full Version : Same amount of protein at every meal?

Hello all!
I was wondering, I have 24 g protein with every big meal, but should I have that much with my smaller meals as well?

Hi there - are you having trouble meeting your protein goals (macros) for the day? If you are meeting them as it is now, I wouldn't worry too much about exact amts at each meal. As Kim would say "keep it simple":D
Your muscles won't fall off or anything if you don't have a lot of protein with each meal/snack. Same goes with other macros; some people eat more fat in the evenings than at any other meal, etc.
If anything when it comes to protein, some ppl like to have a fair amt (i.e. ~.25g/lb) before and after workouts.

YES! It makes a lot of sense. I have been told to always have the same amount of protein at each meal, but then I meet other people who do what you just told me and to make sure you meet your macros! Makes it easier when i feel i can spread it out a bit!
