Ok folks I had another post but I think I'll start one just for the Transformation. I restarted 1/31/10 so i might as well restart a thread! lol.
I had a BodPod Reading done 1/26/10 so that i could see where i was starting from and as you can see it wasn't too pretty... well you can see that in the pictures i posted too, but anyway lol here goes my new thread.
Last 3 weeks have been good i have kept my diet real strict and just started this week a Keto diet so i am gonna see how this works. Since i am taking KetoCuts i figured i might as well be on a Keto diet lol.
I will be/am taking the following supplements

today is chest and I am excited to have hit a PR! woohoo for me!
I started a Keto Diet yesterday and so today was my 2nd day i really feel full, however i did notice some headaches today. I have heard that Keto takes 3 or so days to get used to so i am hoping to see that change over the next couple days. The guy at the gym who won 1st place in his division at the local comp last year said that about 8 weeks out if i didn't look lean i should hit a Keto Diet for a few weeks so I started that. I am looking leaner than before hoping this kicks it into high gear.
I got the Keto Diet from www.RXmuscle.com btw.
I'll start out with my meals
7am 8 egg whites and 4 Flaxseed caps
10am 2 scoops ON Whey cookies and cream with 1 tblspn PB, 2 Caps KetoCuts
1pm 5ish oz of chicken with 1/4 cup almonds
5pm 2 scoops ON Whey CnC 1 tblspn PB
8pm 5oz Top Round Steak Lettuce with 1tblspn olive oil and vinegar
11pm 2 scoops ON Whey CnC w handful of peanuts
I do about 45 mins of cardio in the AM i use the P90x CardioX dvd.
1 scoop CreaDyl before and during W/O
5 NO-Beta before W/O
2 scoops Xtend apple flavor during and after W/O
Warmed up with 2 sets of push ups

subbed up! I didn't even know you were in the challenge. Yep, you are right about the results of the Bod Pod....if gives you a great chance though to make a tremendous transformation! I'm actually having my 2nd Bod Pod done next week to see how mine has changed. Good luck, bro!

Thanks bro... I am going to do the BodPod again too. they said i should do it every 6 weeks to see a change. so i am gonna do it again in about 2-3 weeks.
I am sure you'll post your results, I am looking forward to seeing how you have improved.

took my 4 week pics as you can see above...
I have Vertigo i think or at least i am prone to it... had it pretty bad about 2 years ago for a couple months. I think the PR yesterday on the Leg press triggered it again... so i slept until about 9:30 got up and ate then did some posting and went back to bed...from 11a to 12:30 when my family got home from church.
just so you know i usually get up at 5:30am on Sundays and have church meetings til noon so this was a major sleep in for me.
I was solid on my meals today... only thing is i think i bought some really grissely (sp?) stakes cuz i have to chew for a million years so yesterday (Saturday) when I went shopping i bought me some Fillets so i am gonna cut those up and eat those for meal 5 now...
Since today was my official 4 week day i took my measurements and i am down 1.5 inches in my waist and 3 pounds since last week about 9 or so from the start of the challenge.
One thing this challenge has gotten me to do is get more involved in the forums... i love reading everyone's logs and posting here... this is some fun stuff...
anyway off to bed... get some sleep before the new week hits!

As i said i was really feeling gloomy today for some reason... wanted to cancel going to the gym altogether but i fought the urge and went anyway... i think that when i do that it affects my lifts. I got my tracking number today for my GlutaCene its supposed to come Wednesday i am super excited and can't wait til it gets here.

so true my man... kids are like sponges they watch what we do so closely... it is one of my biggest peeves to watch a parent discipline a child for doing something the parent does ALL the time... I personally don't care if you're a parent or not you can't be doing things if you don't want your kids to be doing them... and if you do, don't be surprised when your kids do too...
This morning i got my chance... my 5 year old comes in with a sad face this morning... "Dad, i don't want to go to school..." i respond, "why whats the matter?" she says "i don't feel like it"... here was my chance.... i said to her "sweetie we all have to do things we don't feel like... i didn't want to go to the gym last night but i went anyway and i was glad i did... You may not feel like it now but when you get there you will have fun with your friends etc." that totally helped turn her about... i am sure somewhere she was saying well if daddy does things he doesn't want to then i can too. At least a father can hope! lol
keep it up... it only gets better with more... btw, so far i have raised all 4 kids in the same environment... each one has turned out totally different, its wild. so i have had to adjust once they get their personalities to raise them according to their strengths.
You're gonna love being dadx2 and x3 and x(howevermanymoreyouhave :-)

I greatly respect how you are trying to set a great example for your children to follow. As a teacher, I see so many kids without a dad in their lives. It makes a huge difference. Keep rockin' out, bro!

Great job sticking with your workouts. There are many times when I dont want to go to the gym or jump on stairmill (on lvl 12), but I know that something is going to come from all of this work. You and drooks are awesome Dads. Make sure you stay that way throughout your kids lives (not until they're 18).

It's so funny how different your kids can be, isn't it? When we had our first two and our third was on the way, we kept trying to guess who the third one was going to take after the most, the first or second child. Lo and behold, he is just as different as the other two. It's quite the task to have to switch modes all the time when relating to each child individually.
I love watching them grow up and seeing them really defining their separate personalities and also seeing what traits they have taken on between my and my husband. Although sometimes that's a little scary and so I work on trying to fix that ;)

YES Strawberry is AWESOME!
SOOO true about the kids i sometime just sit and stare at them and wonder how i got so lucky... and sometimes i just watch and learn... I personally believe we can learn ALOT about ourselves by watching our kids and pondering where and how they learned what they learned... both the good and bad behaviors.
My kids teach me as much as i teach them... often when they do something "wrong" i will sit and think to myself, before i get too mad... ok where in my life do i do the same thing, and think how i would love it if someone would show me mercy and then i discipline them... it really makes it more a learning/teaching opportunity and i believe a few things... 1. a man(or woman) convinced against his will is of the same opinion still... 2. if you say it its doctrine if they say it it heresy. so if they learn and agree that whatever they did was "wrong" then it comes from them and they are convinced of the change... and behavior is more quickly changed and we get better well rounded kids! just my opinion.
Course i am not perfect at it either and don't do it all the time... but i certainly strive for it.
Anyway sorry about the long ole story.

RE: KetoCuts... i think i am built backwards on some products and don't notice anything until i am off of them... like the Testx6 only noticed better sleep... until i got off it and now i notice i had bettersleep... more strength... and higher libido.
I am really staying strict on my diet but haven't lost much weight... i am getting leaner though so i think its working! lol
i a gonna do the bod pod again in a few weeks and i bet i am way lower bf...
between Cardio, Diet and KetoCuts i am not there yet but i think i will be by the time i need to be.

The progress pictures really help to keep me focused and motivated. I don't see the daily change but when I look at my pics its like wow! So keep up the good work and it will pay off!

Today was a REALLY busy day I was up at 6am to get to the office for meetings and trainings (i was giving not receiving :-) starting at 7am to about 12pm...

Then went food shopping with the family for the week. got me some 13oz steaks... i think i am going to cut them in half and eat them...
now its off to sleep so i can get ready for church meetings tomorrow... i start at 6:30am and go until noon! I'll be honoring the law of the fast tomorrow and so won't need to worry about meals...

Sorry this is gettin posted late...
I fasted today... so i didn't eat until 6pm or so and had a plate of Spaghetti and Meatballs... it was grub... then i had some garlic bread to clean up the sauce.
I then ate a small piece of Bday cake and icecream to celebrate (for the 2nd and last time) my 3 year olds bday! tonight was my wife's side of the family... Saturday was my side.
I had a scoop of Whey and a handful of peanuts and went to bed about 9:30... i was tired!
Ok Monday is Chest day can't wait to post up! TTYL!

seriously! the geneologies can be boring... although sometimes its fun to track things on a timeline and see who was around when certain people were alive and who might have known each other...
I feel like i am a seeker. Matthew 5:6, i hunger for knowledge and truth... however, sometimes my hunger is stronger than other times, lol...
I love chatting with people about stuff like religion... i never know when i'll learn something new and find a truth, it kind of excites me. anyway... i guess i am just crazy that way.
I have spent a lot of time talking with people from all religious backgrounds... i find it fancinating what some people believe...
i hate arguing with people... a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still... so i just try to find some way to agree with them... (Matthew 5:25). Learn from them and move on... if they are willing i will teach them but only if they are willing.
Everyone has something to teach even if its what not to do LOL!

i just realized i haven't posted for a few days... well i can assure you that it wasn't cuz i didn't workout... i did, Monday was chest and last night was back. i was feeling a bit drained so and i usually post after i w/o before bed and i think i just crashed!
I am really liking the Thrashing Triceps workout... i'll use it regular... there are some other Tri excercises i like so i'll be alternating around some just to keep my muscles guessing :-)
i am definately getting leaner, just wish it would be faster lol, although today i wore a pair of slacks that i hadn't fit into for a few months that felt good! :-)
I ordered some Testx6 that should be arriving tomorrow... i am excited about that.
I am looking into competing next month after the 10 weeks is over and so i was looking at suits tonight... trying to decide what size to get... don't want anything falling out or hugging too tight LOL i am still getting lean so my waist is shrinking so not sure what it's gonna be so i am waiting a bit more just to make sure i get the right size. and if it happens that i don't get as lean as i like don't want to have ordered a suit and not use it... sooooo, lots to think about.

I do the P90X Plyo dvd. It has a lot of squat jumps... sqaut switch pickups. Frog squats, Mary Katerines, hopping and jumping... lunges and etc, etc.

Yeah sorry it was my 13th wedding anniversary yesterday and so i was getting ready for that this weekend and was busy as heck doing other honey do's... Sunday i could have jumped on but my son sequestered the computer for most of the day since my computer is the only one that gets internet right now. By the time i had a chance i was too lazy to get up and post! lol
yeah i took my car in to get smogged and have the power steering fixed and it came back failed smog and 4 major error codes...i was like oh crap what now. well my mechanic was like let us diagnose it and see... then he was like i think you may need to replace the Transmission... i was like well we might as well buy a new car then cuz that is 1500 or so... and i could put that down on a newer car.
anyway ended up only being some minor thing and was only like $350 to fix (i hope its fixed)

Yeah i took the Cut diet + Dave Palumbo Keto diet and made some modifications. + what my buddy told me last night gonna make some more changes.
I talked to my buddy last night it was the San Diego NPC event not really a major event that i am aware.
he took 1st place in the middle weight last year in our local event here in Fresno so when he weighed in and was put in with the heavy weights he was surprised he took 2nd in heavy weights... he looked good last night but had already gained 8 pounds, lol.

thanks bro... i was takin the Testx6 and was increasing and hit 90s and then when i went off the testx i wasn't able to hit the 90s but i started testx6 last week and hit the 90s again... i think it is cuz of the testx6 but i can't exactly quantify that but i love the stuff.

when i got to the gym today i met with my buddy who is helping me get ready to compete... he mentioned that i had leaned out a lot from the last time we talked about competing but that i had some work to do... hahah. we spent about 30 mins talking about diet and posing etc... it was good but didn't have much time to lift so here is what i was able to do.

so the advise i got was to change up my diet a bit... not a lot, he said i was doing pretty good there. you'll see those changes as we go... then do cardio 2x a day 6 days a week. I have been waking up and eating meal 1 then about 30 mins later or so doing my cardio... so i am now going to wait so i can do cardio on an empty stomach... I get up at 7am to get the kiddies ready for school and i'd eat with them... but now i wait til they go and can do cardio and eat.
anyway, so cardio 2x a day 6 days that is the tough part i am going to have to be a machine, cuz i think that elypticals and treadmills are BORING! lol sorry but i had to say it. at least i will get myself a good playlist on my MP3 player and crank the tunes!

I feel the same way man. That is why I always mix it up. I sometimes hit the pavement and just look at the earth, or if I am indoors, I run on the treadmill for 10 to 15 mins then switch to the elyptical for 10 to 15 more mins. I find it a lot easier that way.

i actually got 2 suits one black and the other navy blue... my buddy said that was good incase one was not available...
i ordered Pro Tan the overnight competition with spray applicator etc... a posing oil they had and some buffer thing... anyway... its all new to me hope i got the right stuff... lol
i heard dream tan was good and was gonna order that too but then i found a local place that sells stuff so if i am not dark enough i'll go get it.
yeah i know i can't use it so i have some shorts in mind... i am going to call around to see if there are any studios that know about bb shoots.

ok lets catch up sorry i took a few days off from POSTING not from w/o or diet!
Saturday was my carb load day... i had some whole wheat spaghetti and wheat bread for lunch... then for dinner i had a sweet potatoe and some applesauce with my steak! it was yummy... i really needed those carbs i get cranky w/o them. :-(
Sunday is the Day of Rest... and i followed the law of the fast so no food until dinner... which was a protien shake and then i cheated and had some ice cream and oatmeal choc chip cookies...
Monday was chest and I didn't get to the gym in time to do a full w/o so i did the following

Where did the time go...
Thursday i did shoulders and hit a PR on Military Press... 135x4!!!! of course i did my 30 mins of Plyo in the AM and 30 on the Elyptical at night.
Friday was a rest day except for the 30 mins if plyo i did in the am.
Saturday i just did 37 mins of cardio 22 on the Elyptical and 15 on the Treadmill...
Sunday was, and is, and always will be THE day of Rest!
Today was especially good being Easter though... remember we celebrate this day because Christ was Ressurected not because a bunny layed an egg!
my schedule has been really busy with business and life and the kids being out of school this week...
I should be back to daily accountability again soon... my contest ends this coming Sunday so i am gonna stay focused for the last 7 days!

i called around to some photographers to see if i could get some good shots for my final pics and some of these dudes are expensive... one was $50 a shot and i need 5 shots for the final poses that is way more than i was hoping to spend... anyway i'll see i have a message in to the brother of a good buddy of mine who is just starting out and maybe he will give me a deal.
There is a competition in 2 months i am going to train for... i am unfortunately not nearly lean enough to compete next week... although i got my suits and they fit great i just am not going to go on stage and stand next to a guy who is 3% and i still have a package around my 6 pack... LOL

I feel like i will kill the show in June too... i have plenty of time to get lean so i am going to get lean as soon as possible and stay within a couple weeks of stage ready and see if i can add a little muscle too in the next 2 months...

i forgot to mention in my post that i didn't really rest much between sets... in fact i super setted the shoulder presses and Tri press downs, and the leg presses and seated calf. I noticed that without a lot of rest i hit fatigue faster (duh, lol) and ended up feeling like a got a lot of blood into my muscles so i had a good pump. it was almost like the Double-T workouts... but no PC.
we should name these glycogen depleting excercises the Glycogen Gushers or something like that, in memory of the Double-T names for intense w/o's... LOL!

i took my final pics today... had buddy that i knew come over and set up a mini studio and we had some fun... i was all tanned up... did my hair... oiled up... i used all the tips they talked about in the contest rules for photos!
I had no idea how much work it is to pose... i was sitting there holding the poses and i was starting to sweat! i was sore afterward! lol
I am really excited we played with the lighting and different poses... i was very comfortable and i think i might have found a new love! lol. I definately want to get on stage now... i found 2 events near by one is in June and the other in July... i will compete at one of them for sure... i now know how to prepare and i have the time to do it right.
This was an awesome contest... my review is forthcoming...

thanks! RE June: I think so too... i stopped bulking too late to hit it for this... or i didn't time my cut right probably a mix lol... i have a good idea of what to do to get shredded and have a buddy that competes that is willing to help me.

Double-T Transformation Review.
First of all let me say what an amazing last few months!
A Little Background
Last year in April I attended my first bodybuilding show it was here locally and I was totally impressed. It just happened that Jay Cutler came to guest pose so I got to meet him and get my picture taken with him. Imagine that, Mr. Olympia and I getting photos! I said to myself next year I wanted to be up on that stage. I knew I would have to add some meat on my scrawny 150 pound frame. I had been working out seriously for about 6 months… so in September I started my winter bulk… I made it to 184 pounds December 31st. I had never bulked before so I thought that I had done a great job. I was stronger and bigger than I had ever been. In December I was online at bodybuilding.com as I wanted to start buying some products to help with my final weeks of bulking and prepare me for my cut. I knew I would need supplements to help me maintain muscle and loose fat. So I had a few products on my list I wanted to try. As I was scrolling though the pages on bodyspace I saw something that caught my eye in a big way. “CreaDyl/NO-Beta 2009 transformation contest!” I thought well why not let me check it out. It just happened to be the exact products I was going to buy, granted, not the same company but I knew I needed a good NO and a creatine product. They were in the price range and so I said to myself… ok 1. I get the product I need/want, 2. I spend the same monies, 3. I get to enter a contest that could end in me taking home $5,000. This was a NO BRAINER! Hahah.
The Entry
So I order up the supps and entered the contest. I have never bulked before, at least not on purpose lol! So I wasn’t as prepared as I thought for what was about to happen. I actually ordered TestX6 as well because I knew in cutting I wanted a test product to help maintain my muscle. I ended up continuing to bulk through the first week of January my 10 weeks was going to end the 2nd week of February. As I started to change from bulking to cutting I ended up turning that like a ocean cruise liner makes a U-turn… I took too long.
Anyway by the end of January I realized there was no way I was going to end a transformation contest looking the way I did… even though I was A LOT stronger. I took a bodpod reading to see just how bad it was. I was 30% bodyfat!!!! I couldn’t believe it… my bulk was way too much fat! Well I pleaded with Double-T to let me start over and they were gracious enough to allow it… Thank you Double-T!
Ok so I restarted and like a dolt I thought, whew, I have 10 weeks again and started to cut like I had all the time in the world! I didn’t realize that I should have done a few things differently until I was like week 7! Anyway… live and learn! Cardio should have been my friend much sooner!
I also knew that I had that local competition I wanted to get into… it was April 17th and I had months to go to be ready… little did I realize TIME FLYS! So I will postpone my first show… but I am not getting out of it! I reset my goal for June 12th. There is also a show in July that I think would be a blast to at least attend… it’s a big show a few hours away, but anyway I have digressed.
Contests
One thing that I have realized in this contest is that having a goal and a deadline really does help A LOT. There were days when I said to myself “I am too tired to go to the gym,” or “I don’t feel like going tonight I have a lot of other things to do,” then I remembered this contest and said “dang, I can’t slack, there are others out there working while I rest, and if I rest and they work they are gonna win… and I can’t let that happen!”
This contest literally drove me when I couldn’t drive myself… I was a machine and went even when I didn’t want to, just because I had a goal and people were counting on me! Isn’t it strange how we will do more for other people than we will for ourselves?
Contests and competitions are great motivators.
The Product
CreaDyl – one thing I have to say is that I have tried several different pre-workout/creatine supps. From NO-Explode to Controlled Labs to even some generics (big mistake, lol). I have enjoyed the taste and experience of many of them for the first few weeks and then they seem to wear on me. Either with the after taste I am finally sick of or the feelings I get in my lower regions I can’t handle any longer or just not feeling like I was getting any results, on one supp I was actually yawning at the gym. I have not had any of that in the last 4 months with CreaDyl. First, the taste is AMAZING I don’t think I could ever tire of it, especially Lemon Lime (this is divine)! Second, the feeling I get after I take it is like I just drank an energy drink… that hasn’t really diminished. I am truly impressed with this supp.
NO-Beta – this is an AMAZING product… the pump and vascularity are INTENSE! I have done work outs with and without and let’s just say I would rather workout WITH it! I have had NO products before but this one has to be at the top of the list. I personally LOVE that it is in pill form too, I hate having to drink several water bottles just to get my supps so pills help relieve that!
TestX6 – Sleep is critical to gaining and maintaining muscle mass… I have had better, more full sleep. Had some amazing dreams as a side note, lol! I have felt much stronger and more stable under heavier weight, if that makes sense.
GlutaCene – this is glorious! I have tried several Post workout supps as well from SciVation to Controlled Labs to Universal, etc. GlutaCene rocks… The taste of the strawberry is something I actually look forward to like a kid in a candy store… I have to stop myself from drinking it all day so I don’t run out! Not just the taste but I have felt, and I truly do mean this, like my soreness has diminished greatly and I can work out with greater intensity. I do still love Xtend, however GlutaCene has definitely taken the top spot of the Recovery list for me.
The Workouts
Bulging Biceps – When I first heard of this I was like “ok, I am tough, I can do this” and WOW was I in for a surprise, this is no joke. I posted a review of my experience and even won a Benjamin ($100) in their contest. This has to be one of the most intense workouts invented for biceps. Shocking muscles = growth. I have no doubt the muscle I have on my arms is larger due to this workout!
Thrashing Triceps – this one was amazing… I had a lot more respect for this one going in than I did for the Bulging Biceps for sure. After experiencing some of Paul’s workout routine madness I knew that it wouldn’t be a joke. I wasn’t let down. I also have a review and I think there is a contest finishing up for this one too… I am hoping to do well there.
There were other workouts like this for different muscle groups, however I didn’t take time to do those ones, I am sure they deserve the same respect though.
The Company
I have surfed the pages of Bodybuilding.com and have seen many supplement companies and even sent messages to some of the reps and have had some reply and others, well who knows… lol. I have to say that the team Paul Burton has put together at Double-T know, with certainty, who pays their bills… the customer! They have some of the BEST customer service I have seen anywhere. Hands down, no ifs, ands or buts. These guys know who comes first. I have never had a company CEO, who I am sure is busy as anyone else if not WAY more, take time like Paul has to help me out. I have gotten all kinds of advice from products to posing to diet, etc. Even if it was something he didn’t offer in his product line. I am TRULY impressed with these guys.
Conclusion
Totally impressed with the quality and the service I have received with this company and in this contest. Paul and his team have made all the contestants feel like VIP’s. I have certainly been impressed with all the support.
What is also amazing is that while this contest was running Paul and his team ran little contests along the way to keep the motivation high, what a cool thing to do. They even kicked off the 2010 contest before we were even done with the 2009 contest. I personally believe that Double-T is headed for great things and am proud to be a part of the inaugural contest and look forward to the 2010 bodybuilding competition and then on to many more in the future.
