I don't know aout that...I've got another 50 lbs to lose, and I'm not going to be ripped by June, just less fat.

I dont know if you need to lose another 50lbs, but for people that are 180-190-200 range imo have a considerable disadvantage to some of us that are in the 230-240-250 range since losing fat and weight will tend to come off alot quicker due to our size.

how is judging going to be decided? By overall weight loss or overall body composition. This contest caters to us bigger folk and leaves the smaller guys at a disadvantage

Usually, 1/4 of the people who sign up don't post start pictures. Then for various reasons, people drop out or get DQ'd for not posting at least once per week in the contest thread. The most we've ever had finishing a contest was about 60-65 people.

I keep getting asked, whether in this thread or via PM about photos, so I am going to make this clear:

-You must take pics wearing the same thing and with the same lighting to reduce manipulation. This helps the judges see your changes. If they cannot see your changes, it would be very tough to vote for you;

-ALL pictures MUST have the date showing. You can use a Newpaper, printout of a News Website (MSNBC), a picture of the computer screen with you in the picture, etc. If the date is not visible in your pictures, you MUST take a close up of the same item and post it with your 5 start pictures. Any pictures that do not include this will not be accepted.

-Also, you MUST show your face and/or marks (tattoos, etc) in all pictures. The reason for this is, there has been some drama in the past, and I would like to avoid it. If you prefer not to do this, then I don't know what to tell you about competing.

I've always been suspicious in the past of contestants using the clock on their computer screens because it is easy to manipulate. Or when they say they don't have access to a newspaper??? If you live so far away from civilization that you do not have access to buying a newspaper then how are you online? The $1.00 for a newspaper is a cheap registration fee for a contest.

PHOTOS

I keep getting asked, whether in this thread or via PM about photos, so I am going to make this clear:

-You must take pics wearing the same thing and with the same lighting to reduce manipulation. This helps the judges see your changes. If they cannot see your changes, it would be very tough to vote for you;

-ALL pictures MUST have the date showing. You can use a Newpaper, printout of a News Website (MSNBC), a picture of the computer screen with you in the picture, etc. If the date is not visible in your pictures, you MUST take a close up of the same item and post it with your 5 start pictures. Any pictures that do not include this will not be accepted.

-Also, you MUST show your face and/or marks (tattoos, etc) in all pictures. The reason for this is, there has been some drama in the past, and I would like to avoid it. If you prefer not to do this, then I don't know what to tell you about competing.

I think you can make your log whenever you want, you just have to take and post the pictures at the appropriate times. I don't think the log is actually a requirement, more of a personal choice.

The only requirements are posting the pictures and then posting in the official OBF thread that gets created at least once every week to verify that you are still in and participating.

PHOTOS

I keep getting asked, whether in this thread or via PM about photos, so I am going to make this clear:

-You must take pics wearing the same thing and with the same lighting to reduce manipulation. This helps the judges see your changes. If they cannot see your changes, it would be very tough to vote for you;

-ALL pictures MUST have the date showing. You can use a Newpaper, printout of a News Website (MSNBC), a picture of the computer screen with you in the picture, etc. If the date is not visible in your pictures, you MUST take a close up of the same item and post it with your 5 start pictures. Any pictures that do not include this will not be accepted.

-Also, you MUST show your face and/or marks (tattoos, etc) in all pictures. The reason for this is, there has been some drama in the past, and I would like to avoid it. If you prefer not to do this, then I don't know what to tell you about competing.

No, I think he is saying that IF we decide to keep a journal for the OBF it should be done in this forum- not another one we may frequent. Actually I may keep 2 journals going -definitely one here for OBF and one in the over 35. But if you ARE doing a log it should be definitely be done here with everybody else's log so we can follow each others progress and encourage each other more easily.

actually if you start a photobucket account you just need to download your pics there and then they have a nice setup where you can just click and copy a link to then drop on your post here. It does all the work for you- just copy and paste from that site to this one.

PHOTOS

I keep getting asked, whether in this thread or via PM about photos, so I am going to make this clear:

-You must take pics wearing the same thing and with the same lighting to reduce manipulation. This helps the judges see your changes. If they cannot see your changes, it would be very tough to vote for you;

-ALL pictures MUST have the date showing. You can use a Newpaper, printout of a News Website (MSNBC), a picture of the computer screen with you in the picture, etc. If the date is not visible in your pictures, you MUST take a close up of the same item and post it with your 5 start pictures. Any pictures that do not include this will not be accepted.

-Also, you MUST show your face and/or marks (tattoos, etc) in all pictures. The reason for this is, there has been some drama in the past, and I would like to avoid it. If you prefer not to do this, then I don't know what to tell you about competing.

There is a group of judges who will judge your pics. The best transformations win. Weight loss doesn't necessarily matter, however if you go from 250lbs of flab to 180 and ripped to shreds it will be pretty dramatic.

PHOTOS

I keep getting asked, whether in this thread or via PM about photos, so I am going to make this clear:

-You must take pics wearing the same thing and with the same lighting to reduce manipulation. This helps the judges see your changes. If they cannot see your changes, it would be very tough to vote for you;

-ALL pictures MUST have the date showing. You can use a Newpaper, printout of a News Website (MSNBC), a picture of the computer screen with you in the picture, etc. If the date is not visible in your pictures, you MUST take a close up of the same item and post it with your 5 start pictures. Any pictures that do not include this will not be accepted.

-Also, you MUST show your face and/or marks (tattoos, etc) in all pictures. The reason for this is, there has been some drama in the past, and I would like to avoid it. If you prefer not to do this, then I don't know what to tell you about competing.


IMPORTANT: You must have 30 posts on BB.com to post any type of pictures. Make sure you accumulate 30 posts before the contest starts. No links will be accepted. The pictures MUST be visible when you post them.

I'm in for the Men's transformation.

I'm just worried about the finish date. I leave for Air Force OTS on June 8th, but from what I've heard I'll have internet access while I'm there. My pics before the 8th will probably be better than the ones while I'm there though, since I won't really have access to a weight room.
