I was wondering. Fiber in vegetables is non-digestible CHO that can ferment in the gut and cause gas. I was wondering, if you take a supplement such as Beano which contains alpha-galactosidase, causing the trisaccharide raffinose found in many vegetables to be broken down into galactose, fructose, and glucose. What I'm wondering is does taking that alter the glycemic impact of the food since those 3 monosaccharides are now digestible?

well since the digestion will happen in the large intestin, i guess the absorption will be smaller than if it had happened in the small intestin, for that the glycemic impact would not be that important

I recommend not posting if you have no clue what you are talking about.
The enzyme is active is the small intestines and increases monosacch absorption in the small intestines. "glycemic impact" is irrelevant anyway.
