I'm familiar with the fasted vs non fasted cardio arguments, and I personally prefer doing cardio first thing in the morning. I just started keto 3 days ago, about 30 g carbs + 25 in my pw shake on training days. As soon as I started to jog this morning, I got a mild headache, making it impossible to do cardio. Instead, I just made myself a few eggs and a slice of whole wheat toast and felt fine. Is this headache a side effect of starting keto, or is morning cardio a bad idea while on keto? Because I eat most of my carbs in the morning, I would guess that at the time of jogging, I probably hadn't eaten more than 5-10g carbs in the previous 20 hours. Or is morning cardio just a bad idea while on keto?

On a related note, with finals coming up and all, I really need my brain to be in full focus and I've heard beginning keto makes you dizzy, lethargic etc for the first week or so....so should I quit keto wait another 2 weeks to start again, or should I simply up the carb intake a little.

Any and all advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin

Wait those 2 weeks IMO. The headache could very well have been from the starting of keto. Also the bread is a no no on keto. Theres no need to not eat before cardio on keto so have your breakfast then get to the cardio.
