The count down begins to my first Figure comp. The BIG Day... June 12.
I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Excited because I can see the dream coming to fruition, nervous because - heck its not every day I strap on 5 inch heels and step on stage in front of hundreds of people on a tiny two piece suit.
Currently training 5 a week with weights, cardio 4x a week
I'm eating clean (1900-2000 cals), its just a matter of dialing in the diet so I can get off this plateau and drop some BF.
Current weight 136.5
Body-Fat 20%
Any suggestions, directions, and comments my dear bodyspace pals want to provide are welcomed with OPEN ARMS.
Wish me strength and determiniation!
< luck has nothing to do with it>

Start tracking calories and figuring out how much cutting you will need to do. Its better to start a lil early than too late.
pound the water, 2 weeks before you show try and down a gallon a day, 1-2 hrs before you go on stage, have a cup of coffee, this dehydrates you and dumps any water remaining in you're system, have de caff tho.. I know how you are feeling and your nerves are already racing 100mph at that point.

wow, people still believe this crap..... please stop posting your bro science!
to the OP:
Good luck! My advice would be to not mess with any of your variables until you hit a platue and have to (calories/cardio). Just be consistant and patient.

New diet dialed in, cutting down on nuts, peanut butter ...oh how I MISS MY PEANUT BUTTER, adding more veggies and its time for cardio.
The first three days was tough diet wise, because without as much fats I was sooo hungry, instead of eating every 3 hours I was eating every 2 hours, increasing veggies to fill me up helped.
Cardio is 4- to 5 x a week and a mix between short intervals and long steady sessions.
At the start of the week I went and had a Bod Pod fat test done and compared it to my Omron hand held monitor at home - for those of you curious, there was a 2.5-3% difference in readings - Bod pod was higher and claims to be more accurate. Weigh in at the same time was 134.
No change in bf% this week, but the weight has gone up by .8 lbs and the waist line is feeling tighter - hmmmmm.
The lower back fat - aka - love handles are pretty much gone too, this is where I tend to hold lot of fat.
~ Oh and its my One Year Anniversary of working out =) Yeah, I think I will celebrate with some Flank steak and broccoli
