HOLIDAY Inn will trial a free five-minute human bed warming service - where a member of staff, dressed head to foot in an all-in-one sleeper suit, warms up the bed until it's nice and toasty.

"Like having a giant hot water bottle in your bed" is how Holiday Inn spokeswoman Jane Bednall described the idea.

Dr Chris Idzikowski, director of the Edinburgh Sleep Centre, said the idea actually could help people drop off to sleep.

"There's plenty of scientific evidence to show that sleep starts at the beginning of the night when body temperature starts to drop,” he said.

"A warm bed - approximately 20 to 24C (68-75F) - is a good way to start this process whereas a cold bed would inhibit sleep.

"Holiday Inn's new bed warmers service should help people achieve a good night's sleep, especially as it's taking much longer for them to warm up when they come in from the snow."

Ok, but the real question is....how much does it cost to keep them in it? ;)

lmao, c'mon has society really gone to this crazy of a level. May as well pay people to hold strangers hands instead of wearing gloves when its cold. LoL on the other hand the above poster is welcome to warm my bed anytime.

Maybe for you, but for me I'm sure they'd give me a good deal.

I wonder if they would ever even consider having bed warmers in US. This is just crazy anyway, back to nutrition.

My brother started a lawn mowing service in the neighborhood, but I have been doing this bed warming service in the neighborhood for a while.

Good money for sure.

"creepy," huh?

Good thing you can't see all the semen and vaginal fluid stains embedded on your bed sheets and covers.

That just sounds dumb. I would hate to be the employee who has to get in the suit. Probably have one or two suits for the whole hotel and you've gotta use it after that smelly employee who probably dropped crazy ass in the suit on the last shift.
