i'm new to building muscle so I need a diet plan devised around the idea of gaining muscle. i have no diet plan as of right now so i have no idea how many calories i take in on a daily basis. what do you guys normally eat on a daily basis? and how effective is your diet when it comes to building muscle? are supplements good or bad for you? whats the best way to tackle the goal of gaining muscle? ahh so many questions! thanks in advance and happy holidays!

i have no idea how many calories i take in on a daily basis.
start to weigh, track and log.
how effective is your diet when it comes to building muscle?
you need to eat more than you burn with adequate protein intake.
otherwise = no muckles.
are supplements good or bad for you?
they're bad. baaad. cost a lot of money and do nothing. 'xcept protein powder, which is a 'food' in my book (gives you protein).
whats the best way to tackle the goal of gaining muscle?
find a program geared toward hypertrophy + strength and eat. repeat for several months.

Tool around here in the forums and you will find a wealth of knowledge. Definitely track your food using fitday or one of the other online calorie counting programs. Good luck!
