Well, as a general rule thee is very little at your major discount chains worth owning. Made out of 14 gague steel adn with a maximum weight rating of 600 pounds this isn't the best.
Besides that if you are looking for a main piece to be the core of your home gym you don't want a Smith machine. It is a great supplimental tool but not the core of the gym.

You can get a powerline rack and FID for $440 shipped to your front door at this site:

Better option than that crappy smith machine.

I had also looked at that Smith unit. It's a great price. I have been looking for a decent one for supplemental exercises, but can't find a quality used one nearby. I hope someone has some experience with this one.

Says you, Smith hater! A Smith machine is the core of *my* gym. OP can always get a rack for supplemental work. But let's not make this a Smith machine trash thread, the guy just wants opinions on that particular Smith.
Check out the machine first to make sure it's got the right kind of bearings (linear, not bushings), otherwise that machine seems to be just fine, but realize it is not a high-end machine. 600lbs is likely OK for the machine capacity unless you are already benching 550-575 lbs or so, and squatting 550-575 lbs. If it's 600lbs capacity on the bench, that's not so good, but you can always toss the crappy bench that comes with it and get a decent one in the 1000lb range. It's got the high and low pulleys, too, which are nice. The lockouts are a bit far apart which can be a pain, though.
If money is the biggest part of your deal, then yes, get a rack, for which you can get a very high quality unit for the same $$ which Keetman already said, but if you insist on a Smith (I did and don't regret it at all) then this is a good deal.
