not too sure but i thought you were supposed to put that stuff in warm salt water to soften it up?
i might be thinking of something else though
doctor is always helpful or even your school's trainer

The doc might be able to get rid of them by freezing them. Otherwise it is just a case of being patient with the over the counter remedies.
They get caught from dirty surfaces, esp. when your feet are soft and damp, and are very infectious. Gym and swimming pool changing room and showers are notorious for transmission, especially when they are not too clean.
Wear flip flops in the changing room / showers, stand on a towel, and ask the gym to make sure that the sports surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly.
Having said that, I think that once you have got rid of them, you build up a bit of immunity.
Aw man, that F'n sucks! I knew a kid with a colony of them on the bottom of his foot, nasty **** and it looked like it hurt pretty bad!

get a knife and cut that bastard haha...no dont do that. i tried it. hurt even worse and then grew back.
best bet is see the doc and get it frozen. they cut it out as well but its professional and really doesnt hurt until it begins to heal.
