Some information about me..
I am pushing thirty this year, six more months to exact. I am married with two sons and another one due in July. Hopefully another boy, my wife is dieing to have a girl. I was an all around athlete in High School. I was always in excellent shape. I graduated high school in 1995, I had accomplished getting my varsity letter in every sport but Tennis. Went to work full time to support my family, my wife has always wanted to be a stay at home mom and I was determined to make this happen. So I work around 60-70 hours a week. As the years went by I started to get more and more out of shape..I blame beer. Well to make a long story short I went to an Alumni game, and got alot of oh my gosh what happen to you. I was weighing in at 207 lbs and about 23% body fat..Yikes!!
So I started to attempt to get back in shape. I have been working out now since July 2006..
My Stats of now are..
Age: 29
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 172 lbs
Bodyfat: approx. 16% a guess
Chest: 42.75
Arms: 16.25
Hips: 38.5
Waist: 32.5
Thighs: 22.5
Calves: 15
Forearms: 13
Shoulders: 49.25
Neck: 16.25
Other Supplements that I am currently using..
Optimum whey= using for 6 months
Green Mag= using 1 month
Animal Pak= using 3.5 weeks
My Workout Schedule..
I sometimes do arms on Sundays. If I do not, I add it to the end of other day's workouts.
Sunday..arms maybe
Monday..Chest, triceps maybe
Tuesday..Cardio, Basketball
Wednesday..Back, Biceps maybe
Thursday..Legs
Friday..Shoulders
Saturday..Cardio
My goals..
To be the Best Dad and husband I can be.
To have the energy to keep up with my kids.
To pick my wife up carry her upstairs and toss her on the bed..and still have the energy and stamina to complete my mission.
And to have a body to be proud of.
What I eat..
I try to eat healthy but most of the time my diet kind of revolves around my families, but it is nothing real unhealthy.
I used Tara's layout as a standard for mine, I am new at this..Hope she does not mind..

A few things I forgot to mention is..I work out at home and I work out by my self..so alot of times my lifting stats go up slow out of fear of dropping the weights on myself..I pretty much make sure I can lift something before I attempt it..

i know how that feels, ill be lifting real heavy everyday at my gym at the university, then when I go home its back to the basement. a noticeable decrease in weights occurs.

You've done well, best of luck. I too consumed a lot of beer til my early 30's. Don't drink at all anymore. I'm on my 2nd marriage and we have 2 boys 9 & 13 next month and I am certainly concerned about keeping up with them. I think a bit of my drive comes from that. I too workout alone and twice in the last couple of months found myself calling my wife and kids to help with getting a couple hundred pounds of my chest. Actually to remove a plate at a time 'til I could roll it off. I've been working on plans for my squat rack in case I ever loose it there. Best of luck, be safe.

Hey, man!! The refuel seems interesting. Has a lot of sugars though 16g. Anyway, let us know how it works for you. I just might be willing to try it because right now, i don't take anything but protein after workouts. I'm pretty hyped about it! I love new products. Oh, and i can understand how it is tough to work out consistently. Especially when you work 60-70 hours week. So, your work and efforts thus far should be greatly commended.

Since I really don't consume any other sugars in my diet besides the occasional snickers bar, I did not see this as a problem.

Well I used refuel for the first time last night. I would have to say it did not taste bad, Though just one scoop was a littled watered down for my taste. When I added two scoops I liked it. I drank the single scoop serving during my workout and had the two scoop serving after my workout. I added the minimal water it had recommended.
Last night was chest workout. I started with 30 dips, it took me two sets to accomplish this many. Than I went to flat bench. This week is my heavy week. I do reps one week and heavy the next. I was kind of tired from work so it takes me a little bit to get going. I did four sets of flat bench, starting weight of 165lbs and finished off at 245lbs..The weights felt really heavy last night so I did not go any higher. Than I moved on to incline dumbbell presses. I do these arnold style. I can only go as high as 73lbs cause that is all the DB weight I have. Than I did declines. Most of the time I only go to 200lbs so I can do some reps. Lastly I did flyes, I feel real uncordinated when I do these.
This morning I do not feel sore but it usually does not come on until a day or so after I work out. The refuel mix suprisingly well. I put it in a bottle and shoke it up and it blended easly. It stayed pretty much mixed with the occasional shake here and there.
Tonight I am going to do back, Since I am not scheduled for a basketball game..

Tuesday night I did back. I tried something new at the beginning. I always do pull ups and chin ups at the start of my back night. I try to get 30 of each in. It was getting to the point I could do about 18-20 a set..I don't go to a dead hang..So last night each time I would pull or chin up I would try to hold it for a count of ten. Well I was only able to average about 6 a set. Not wanting to burn out at the beginning of my workout I only did three sets of each.
After my pull/chin ups I did three sets of barbell rows. 145lbs is as much as I go right now because they still feel akward to me. I followed up these with Dumbbell rows. I did another three sets of these. Than I went to the pull downs. These I usually go only to 150lbs because I like to get some reps in and my youngest will come and sit on my lap to try and do these with me. He holds the bar and goes up with the weight alot of times. It is a real thrill for him.
I was going to finish of with dead lifts but was side tracked when my youngest decided to try and help with these. I will not go heavy or lift weights above his head when he is around. So we did some hyperextenions. We as in I would go down and pick him up on the way up. So I guess you could say they are weighted hyperextesions..:)
Well I decided to try a scoop and a half of ReFuel with 20 ounce of water. I liked the way this tasted. I was trying to use this during and after workout like the directions said but I am getting to blotted after workout. So I am going to just start drinking this after my workout instead.
I figured out if you mix Refuel in warm water and than put it in the fridge until cold it stays almost completely mixed through the entire time consuming it....

Well I did cardio tonight..Not one of my favorite things. I enjoy pushing the weights but cardio to me is boring.. I used one and half scoops of refuel with 20 ounces of water and drank form the middle to the end of my workout.. I actually felt more energy or drive to keep going, wich is unusual for me because I just want to stop when I have put my time in..
Maybe there is more to this stuff yet..Three days into using it and I am realizing I am less sore than usual. This is a good thing because working the next day..12-14 hours..It is nice not wincing at certain movements..

Just finished my leg workout..I am feeling like I could go more..
I started of with squats. I did 6 sets, to were warm ups. I did 300lbs for 3 reps, wich is pretty good for me. I felt like I could have done more weight but atlas all I have is 300lbs for the barbell.. I then went to leg extentions. 3 sets with 220lbs..Then to leg curls, 3 sets of these at 185lbs at the most...
I finished off my workout with 3 supersets of calf raises to lounges..
All and all a good workout for me..I am still going strong and feeling good after my workout..
I am still enjoying my Refuel. I think this is what gave me the extra endurance to keep going strong tonight..I think I may continue with this product after the testing log is done..
Hey CEL how about a good discount? :)

Last night was shoulders...Started off with presses. I did 4 sets of these. I went as high as 165lbs, only pushed this for 5 reps. Next I did shrugs. 3 sets of 210lbs..Than I did 3 sets of front laterals with 30lbs, after that I did 3 sets of side laterals..(I think that is what they are called)..I finished off with up right rows, 3 sets of 115lbs..
I do not know what I did wrong last night but the refuel mixxed funny. I had clumps in the bottom that I had a hard time breaking up..

How have you been mixing it?
Sometimes when I am on the go, I quickly dump in very little water and a scoop and without even stirring just dump it in my mouth and chew it up.
Tastes good!

My wife mixed it for me yesterday..I fill a water bottle with it..She said it was her fault when it got mixed. She had to much water in the bottle and when she put the funnel into it ,the water was in the funnel..So when she added the refuel it clumped up in the funnel..
It was strange because I never had a problem wih it prior..

Thanks Guys..
Well I am feeling better now..I worked out last night.
I started back up with chest, my usual monday workout. All the weights felt really heavy. I guess not working out and being sick for a week really takes alot out of a person.
I started off with incline barbell presses. Two sets of warm up with 115lbs.
I did three sets. (145x10, 165x10, 185x4) Next I went to flat bench. Three sets here also( 165x10, 185x8, 205x3.5). Then I did decline bench. I used a closer grip and did three sets of 165x10. I tried to do flyes, but after two sets I just did not feel like doing any more..This is where I could use a workout partner. Some one to push me when I get lazy..
I am still enjoying the refuel..I took it a couple times while I was sick last week, to see if I could keep it down..I did most of the time..
I need to get energized and back into this..
I just figured out yesterday that my work has blocked bodyspace alomg with a lot of other websites..That sucks..At least I can still access the forums from work :)

Tuesday night I did back..I did 30 pull ups followed up with 30 chin ups. Next I went to dead lifts. I did 4 sets warming up with 145lbs and doing 300lbs on the last set for 7 reps. After this I did barbbell rows. 3 sets here also. I did as much as 165lbs for 6 reps. Than I did pullovers with 70lbs a dumbbell for 3 sets of 10. I finished off with pull downs. I did 185lbs for 3 sets of 8..

I think the 300lbs on my shoulders is making me nervous. I did leg extentions next followed up with leg curls. I finished of with weighted calf raises..

I did not do anything on Fridaybecause I had to take my wife out for dinner.
So I did shoulders on Saturday, nothing special just the usual workout this time..
Sunday I took my oldest son to work on the car and truck with me..We changed the oil on both. I changed the thermostat on the truck.
Well my son was complaining he was cold so I let him get in the car while it was still on the ramps..I did not take it down yet because I was in my bibs and was covered in dirt and oil. I did not want to get the inside of the car dirty. Well I went back under the car to check for leaks and about this time my son decided to climb to the front seat to get closer to the vents..When he did this he knocked the car in to reverse. I heard it and jumped up real quick opened the door and told him to hit the breaks..Well he decided to floor the gas.. The door clipped me and my left leg got ran over. I was able to hold on to the driver side door frame..I had to rech up and knock his leg of the gas pedal than press the break..Once I did this I put the car in park..I was really mad..I did not want to take it out on my son so I cut the car off told him to get in the back seat, and I walked away to calm down...I walked around and picked up the materials I was using..My leg was really hurting, I called my wife to let her know what happen..That we would be home soon..Once I calmed down I went back to the car, The door had clipped a pole so it had swung wide open and crushed the quarter panel..I worked on the door for a minute so it would close. I drove home, once I got there I told my wife I was going to take a nap..When I got UP from the nap my leg really hurt and was swollen(about to hours later) So I drove my self to the hospital...The doctor did not think it was broke because I was walking around..Well after the x-rays came back, they could see that I shattered the bone behind my calf...So Now I am off work for a couple days and suppose to be on crutches for the next six weeks...I go tomorrow for a permanent cast, my leg was to swollen to put one on sunday, so right now I have a temporary one on..

Craziness man! My son is 6 AND A HALF as he says and I can't let him be in the farm truck without me being right next to him for the same reason. I saw him grab the shifter once to slide over from the passenger side! Luckily I was in the truck with him but I again had the talk about that with him and knew he'd forget. He loves to start the cars which are floor shifted and require a brake press to shift so there's never any problems there. I've been out 6 weeks today and have another 2 or so to go! I can't believe a leg break is the same down time is this stupid wrist injury! Sounds like you were lucky to get in when you did too, your body was really reacting to the break and I heard of some real bad things from waiting too long on those. Insane you were walking around on it and even more so YOU COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! Sorry, I had to say it for your relatives! You are damn lucky though. I bet your son was worried as well, good job getting him inside. I have acared my son a few times hurting myself and man, it breaks your heart to see these littel people trying to understand what has happened. Crazy stuff happens sometimes! Really glad it wasn't any worse though. Hope your rig ain't too bad. Hey maybe you can keep taking the REFUEL and see if helps you heal in under 6 weeks! Man, that'd be a cool log! Or maybe the REFUEL is what helped you walk around and react quick enough to get the brake pedal pressed...Heck, they might hirer you to do a commercial on how REFUEL saved your life! Tell them to outfit your gym and you'll agree to say that!
Seriously, glad you're ok and welcome to the six week benched club! Too bad you're not local we could piss and moan and gimp around together!

Holy crap, that sucks big time. Glad you weren't hurt worse. I was thinking also that maybe you'll heal quicker with the REFUEL, never know. Well I too have had the experience as most dads and most sons who want to be with their dads. My 9yr old when he was 3 was in my work van up behind the wheel while I was in the back sorting my stock. Parked in the driveway which was a 10 degree grade and sitting beside the neighbors 2 smaller vehicles. The van was old and the ignition needed to be repaired but I hadn't fixed it yet. With no key in the ignition I felt he was ok to sit at the wheel. Well somehow he managed to turn the ignition then get the van into neutral and it began to roll. I ran to the front and by then the van had rolled only 10 feet but the wheels were turned and it rolled into the neighbor Neon then stopped. I opened the door and checked my son who was fine and thought it was a great ride. Well the Neon's front door was crushed but both my son and I were fine. Of course I got in sh*t from my wife and the car suffered $ 2,000.00 damage which my insurance took care of. I only had the van a couple more months when I hit a deer and the van was wrote off. Anyway heal quick bud and be safe, Del

Well I saw the doc today and he said I can put weight on it as I can handle it.. I asked him about working out and he told me not to stress out the leg..
So I figure If I keep it up while I work out than I can keep going..We will see..I am going to try and do some light benching tomorrow to see how it goes..

I talked to Big and he said that I should finish the log with my thoughts on the product...
I would feel like I cheated cel so If they do not mind I would like to continue in here until the product is finished..
I did chest tonight to see how I could handle lifting weights..I really did not realize how much I used my legs before until I propt them up during chest excercises..
I stuck with mainly flat bench tonight..
I did regular grip for 5 sets, 2 were warm up..I only did up to 185lbs, mainly because of the awkwardness of having my feet up..
I switched grip and did close grips for 3 sets with only 145lbs..
After this I did wide grips for 3 sets still only using 145lbs..
Flyes felt really weird tonight..I just could not seem to get the right feeling while doing them..
I am enjoying the refuel product and if all goes well I will be able to contiunue with this..

Well I tried a lot of different excercises over the last few days to see what I could do..I figured out alot of different things I could do for excercices..The only thing i can not do is anything dealing with legs..I had to wait until my brother in-law came up to help me, just in case I got stuck trying anything..
So far this week I have not done anything considered a regular routine because it is hurting just to walk..Today it is feeling a little better so tonight I may try to actually work out..

It looks like every one else is finishing of therer logs so I guess I better also...
First off sorry to Cel for not doing a better job with this and I really appreciated the oppurtunity to do this..
All in all I enjoyed using refuel..
It mixed fairly well..
I liked the taste alot..
The biggest thing about it was the lack of soreness I did not have using this product..
I would say for an over all total of 9/10 is what I would score for this product..
Thanks again..
