My first review, no pics or links because.... I can't yet :( This is not a sponsored review or anything of that sort, just one I decided to write up today.

About me: I'm 21 years old, 6'1 about 195 pounds. I entered college around 180 pounds a few years ago. I managed to avoid the freshman 15 during the school year, but when I went back home and got all of my parents' awesome cooking again, that's when I put on some weight. After this summer, I really decided to start getting healthier again. So my main goal at this point is to reduce BF while increasing lean muscle.
I decided to try IsoFlex after hearing some good reviews about some of the other flavors. Also, one of the ingredients in this vanilla flavor is real vanilla beans, which was a tempting prospect. I have tried a few vanilla flavors (ON 100% whey, ON NitroCore24, Labrada, Syntha-6, MT, etc) but haven't really gotten that great vanilla taste yet. Alot of times it's more of an artificial cake batter taste, which doesn't really do it for me. I wanted something that tasted like vanilla BEAN (think Breyer's Natural Vanilla ice cream), and also a good all-purpose whey isolate. So on to the actual review...
**Note: I always use skim milk for my shakes. So as per the directions, my shake was mixed with 6 oz. of cold skim milk.
Profile
The profile of this isolate is amazing. The scoop is 30g, and you're getting 27g of protein per scoop (90% by weight). You'd be hard-pressed to find anything better than that. With only a half-gram of carbs and hardly a trace of fat, the calorie content is over 97% from protein. It's cold filtered also, so it has almost zero cholesterol and lactose (great for those with easily upset stomachs). In addition, it has added NO complex for blood flow, a glutamine complex, and an absorption complex.
Smell
Many people knock it, but taste is based mostly on smell so I'll include it here... In short, this stuff smells horrible. If you can, try to avoid smelling the dry powder. It's nasty. It smells much better mixed, but still nothing to get excited about. That said, taste is what's most important anyway.
Mixability
I am a vigorous shaker (shaker + whisk ball), and after about 20 seconds this stuff had a hefty layer of foam on top. In retrospect, I probably overdid it. It was completely mixed without any clumps of course. I let it sit for a few minutes and it settled pretty well. I'll take it easy next time :)
Taste
I was very surprised by the taste. Having smelled it, I was a little nervous, but that turned out to be misplaced. The taste is very unique. The first thing I noticed is that it was very mild, I would say too mild. It tasted like lightly sweetened, lightly flavored milk (which is, of course, what it is), a far cry from some very strong flavors like ON Toffee Fudge and MyoFusion Strawberry. As far as quality of taste goes, it's pretty decent, but not quite what I was looking for. It does not taste strongly of vanilla, and is definitely not over-sweet. This would be a PERFECT option to mix with fruit of some sort, as it will not overpower the fruity flavors. I feel like it would pick up the flavor of pretty much whatever you put it in.
Also, no digestion problems or anything of that sort.
Price
As with most quality whey isolates, this stuff isn't cheap. It's $30 for the 2 lb tub, which comes to an even $1.00 per scoop (27g protein). For the 5 pounder, it's $60 so $0.80 per scoop. While it is expensive, it's certainly not unreasonable.
Overall: 7.5/10
The profile is amazing, it's not overly expensive for a WPI, and it has a very versatile flavor. Overall I'd say it's a pretty solid choice. I've also heard awesome things about the chocolate and PB chocolate, so clearly I'm not the only one who believes this :)
