Hey guys. Not been in this section yet so Sup.
Right what it is. I'm currently lifting wanting to get swole and ill eventually cut in the future. Thing is I now wanna start MMA and was wondering how would this affect me getting a great body?
And how would I go about getting both?
Thanks in advance, guys!

You're sixteen, you should be fine. Just space out your lifting from your training.

Yes building muscle will not be affected.
You must make sure your diet is strong though, that's the key.
In fact the MMA will work your muscles in ways you won't in the gym, and it will really work all those little stablizing muscles to which will make you bigger, stronger and fitter.
The weight training is going to lift your test too which is gonna help with the MMA.
Long and short of it is, if you can do both your body is gonna BOOM!
It's a great union of things you're entering into, I speak from experience.
So enjoy yourself, best of luck.

Being 16 means you have alot of time on your side. Eat plenty of clean calories and mix up your training with endurance, strength and power training sessions each 2-4 weeks in duration to keep your body from adapting to your workouts and allowing for continual growth. And hopefully you have good genetics in the family to really accentuate your physique.

You'll be fine. This passed summer I did 3 hours worth of MMA three days a week ad I trained at the gym 4 days a week. I lost 35 pounds and went from 205 to 170... I'm right now at about 176 and I'm stronger than I ever was at the higher weights.
