Hey everyone. Just wanted a little bit of advise. I am about three weeks out from a show. I have one on May 10th. I do 30 min of walking a day for cardio after my weight training. I train six times a week. My diet is low carbs and high protien with low sodium. I try to eat about 4 or 5 times a day. Does anyone know of any little tips that I could use to cut a little bit of fat from now until contest day. Thanks everyone!

Try doing some HIIT cardio. My favorite is sprinting.

Adding some essential fats will help harden you up and dry you out.

For my last show I was also using MCT oil from prolab... It packs a bunch of calories but I found it to help boost my energy level in the morning.

I think that I will stick to the CLA and flax seed. Does anyone else have any little tricks of the trade to throw out there. I'm trying to get some pictures to post so that I can get some better critism here. Just to give you the low down on where I'm sitting:
5'7"
21 Years old
168 LBS
Arms: 17 1/4"
Chest: 46" (relaxed)
Waist: 31" (relaxed)
Body fat: don't have a clue....maybe at about 7-8%
I just did a show on April 12th but didn't do so hot. Got 3rd out of 4 in young men and 5th out of 7 in novice.

Bump the cardio up to 45min low intensity (walking) and do it after your first meal in the morning, the only reason i wil suggest this is that after you weights training your body is in desperate need of protein and simple carbs, to delay that anabolic process by jumping on the cardio for 30 mins and releasing corisol is risking loosing/burning muscle. and defently get some EFA's in the diet like the above post said.

May I ask why you're on a low sodium diet three weeks out? Don't worry about what you look like now, worry what you 'll look like when it's showtime. How are you going to drop you sodium at the end when it's low now?

Didn't know any better. That's what I was told would be the best thing. To drop sodium. When should I start to lower it? I have added the EFA's to the diet now.
