So let me give you guys some background info on myself. I've been throwing for about 4 years now been very serious for the past 3. I've climbed up the ranking to top in Canada and noticed in the USA from being a sub par thrower. Last year was my senior year in HS and I was talking with some schools most notable was Ole Miss, I went on a visit and was even ready to sign with them it was a school that just felt like home for me. But it ended up that they signed someone else before me and ran out of money.

Now I'm at home training full time and looking to sign with a school for next fall or even the second semester. Right now the front runners are Central Michigan and Louisiana @ Monroe. ULM is looking to sign me for January and this could push Central Michigan to sign me for next fall very early.

I should be going on a visit to CMU after thanksgiving and ULM very soon. Tomorrow I have more to say about each school.

Good luck with your choice, I play college football and have been on tons of recruiting trips. When you get to your hotel at night, make a list of the pros and cons about the school and program. Don't make any quick decisions on deciding, take a couple weeks to think out your decisions. Just remember that you have to live in that area for 4-5 years so make sure you are going to enjoy it. This is a very exciting time in your life and college is a blast. Make sure you live each day to the fullest and enjoy everything. It goes by fast believe me, Im nearing the end of my Junior season and I remember summer before my freshman year like it was yesterday. Best of luck with your decision and if you have any questions let me know I'd be happy to answer them.

This is mainly my pre-visit thoughts on the school and how it could play in my favour.

Central Michigan Chippewas

-There has been a link to CMU and throwers from Ontario and lucky for me I know the link in this situation.

-It close to home for an international school roughly a 6hr drive which means I can always travel home if needed at will.

-They have a great Kin/Phys Ed program which is my intended major.

-I've already had an "yes" from admission on my marks even though they are low.

Athletic Review

-Their overal athletic program is growing(all sports)

-Amazing weight room(told to my by two people in two different sports)

-Weaker conference which means I can easily make it to NCAA champs

-Located near some Big 10 schools for better comp

-I'd be their #1 thrower

This is just my thoughts on the schools before I make my visit.

ULM overview is next.

Louisiana @ Monroe Warhawks

-I should be over their SAT and GPA standards

-I can easily boost my GPA which means I can transfer out if I decide to.

-The tuition costs are one of the lowest for any school in Louisiana

Athletics

-Again weak conference could easily make it to NCAA Champs

-I'll be coming in as their #1 shot/discus thrower

-I can break the school records in a year or so

-Amazing local schools all or most are SEC and Big 12

-The coach is young but knows a good amount and I meet him when I went to Ole Miss.

Not much more I can say until I go on my visits.

The CMU visit I'm trying to make it the week after thanksgiving and ULM will be whenever they get everything done which should be very soon.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days I've been trying to get some stuff worked out with the Clearinghouse so I can move foward. My week has been great I'm about to pick a date for my visit to CMU which will happen in two weeks and ULM is getting ready to give me a offer the coach told me what it would more than likely be and it did but a nice smile on my face. I just hope I can get this clearinghouse worked out cause this is what is holding me back from signing right now.

Today I got the news that ULM just put in all of my paper work to the clearinghouse and it's up to them if I get a yay or nay for my scholarship. So right now I have my fingers crossed, so does the ULM coach, my coach, my parents, friends, team mates, and almost anyone who really knows me. lol I just hope this is the end of the road for my load annoying road trying to get a scholarship.

All I have to say right now is that I'm waiting for my offer sheet from ULM they put in all of my papers but it was on Monday not last week like I said above. I should be getting the offer on Friday or Wednesday when I back. This weekend I will be at CMU from Sunday to Tuesday, I'm really excited for it cause I've heard nothing but great things about CMU but I have to see if they are willing to offer me a scholarship cause the two school could be in a battle to see who gets me.

I'm leaving for CMU tomorrow for my visit. I'm excited and hoping that I like it there and I can hopefully keep CMU as a hopeful school.

Nice all I've heard about CMU was good things so I'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'm just waiting in the hotel for the coach to come and meet me. I think we are going to talk about my schedule for tomorrows visit. I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow or the day after when I get to a computer again.

Well I had my visit today it was in my mind great. The coach was sick, guys on the team were pretty cool and everything else went really well. For my choice it will be tough for me to pick CMU is great and close to home but will cost me over 100k in debt when I'm done. ULM is offering big money but I far from home and I have some other things to think about. But it looking like I got a hat and t-shirt from a school or something waiting at home. But tomorrow when I do get back home and I do a bit more thinking on my visit and choices I'll post about that right now i'm just going to sit and think.

So the worst possible thing happened to me. The NCAA did not give me clearance which mean I'm going to be spending some time in the NJCAA. The good news about this is that the coach from CMU is going to help me find a school, they've been narrowed down to Moorpark Community College in Cali, or Coffeyville CC in Kansas. Both are top JUCO schools I'll have to spend a year at school then I can transfer out.

Sorry to hear man.. But hey Coffeyville is a good JUCO and figure you have to spend a limited time their. Also maybe if you do well you will get a scholarship from CMU? You said they did'nt offer anything yet correct?

yeah I'm going to end up somewhere in Kansas rather it be Coffeyville or Barton both are good schools. CMU will offer me something no matter what but it will be very small cause they money situation is pretty tight but I'll look at other schools when I'm in Kansas I might try and get into KU if my marks are good enough.

Just to give an update to anyone that is following me. On x-mas eve I got a call from the coach from Barton CC and we worked out for me to come to Barton. Well as of last night I am a student at Barton CC with my frist meet Saturday at the University of Nebraska.
