yeah so this is my first workout log. doing Rippletoe's Starting Strength
Here are my starting numbers:
Squat:210
Bench:135
Deadlift:185 started with 225 gonna get form down with 200 though
Power Clean:135
Military press:90
My body weight is a fluctuating 149-155
Body Fat %: 10-13
Main reason for working out is to gain muscle mass and become stronger.

Rippletoes workout A|<>| lets do work
Motivation:9/10
warmed up with 5 min jog
started off with SQUATS

Notes:
struggled a bit but i pushed through. thought i was one on the last rep of the last set of 210. moving up to 215 next time though.
moved onto BENCH
2x5 45
1x5 65
1x3 90
1x2 120
3x5 135
Notes:easy tried the grip with my thumbs under the bar instead of around it. felt better about it.
carried over to Deadlift
2x5 90
1x3 135
1x2 190
1x5 225
Notes: K so i think im going to lower down to 185 or 200LBS instead of 225 even though i completed it id rather be sure that my form is down
finished off with Dips 2x8- probably going to add some weight maybe 10lbs next time.
overall good first day.

ok so im going to drop the weight on squat a bit because i believe i started to heavy. Im just going to go down to 205 and work my way back up. This is also due to back injury.
and next workout ill go up to 185 on deadlift till i get the form down.progressivley adding 10-15lbs

thanks bro my 1RM for power clean is 175lbs at school about a month ago. but im starting a bit lighter because i had a back injury.

mixed up some homeade protein bars last night
4 scoops of ON 100% vanilla whey protein
1/2 cup of peanut butter
3 cups of oats
dash of cinnamon
mix it all up put in a pan and throw it in the fridge for about 10-15 hours or until its hard/chewy.
Im pretty pumped havent tried one yet but i plan on it with meal 2 and Meal 4 and probably before bed
edit: sprinkled splenda over it. tastes awesome

the updates are not my maxes. there just tracks on my way to my goals i never really maxed i just did the calculater then adjusted accordingly.
ive been lifting on and off for a while for football but this is my first solo program

haha im liking those homemade protein bars and your numbers are very good for your age/weight. I wish I started lifting @ 15 and quit the video games by then. You are definetly on the right track brah. 1 little advise is make sure to make begin pictures against a fixed spot which you can retake each half year or so. It shows if you are on the right track and what you need to work on:)

measurements updated two nights ago
gained 1.5 in on both thighs
and
.5 on calfs
21.5in quads

yeah i think its my form cause i have a pretty big chest and everyone asks me what my bench is and they say that i can do more. i think my forms off

haha its my dads genetics makes me convinced i was made to lift.
my dads got HUGE legs and hes like 5'11" and pretty chunky but calves and quads are huge.
im getting there dude im about to log my workout one sec.

Motivation:9/10-intensity wasnt as high because i brought a workout partner and was helping him out with lifts and showing him the ropes.
warmed up with 5 min jog/ stretching
started off with SQUATS
Sets x Reps

3x5 230 [PR +5] never have done this weight for reps
Notes:
last set was hard my workout partner noticed i slant to the right when going down! i need to get to the bottom of this.
moved onto BENCH

1x3 105
1x2 135
3x5 150[PR +5] reps as far as PR goes
Notes:pretty good still wondering about my form very last rep of last set i was pushing like a mother****er it was hard!
carried over to Deadlift

Notes:k so this was pretty good partner was there to tell me when i was rounding. My grip (callouses) get really bad and hurt like crazy when im going over 200 lbs

we gotta freshman team at my school, its awesome. i was heaviest on my team at 5'9 185 yet 5th fastest, played a little linebacker but i diont have very good field vision ya know

yeah but if you learn to read the plays and are big enough to fill through where you are supposed to go you would be a great linebacker

started out with a few minutes of stretching then hit up the squats.
started off with SQUATS

notes:my back was ****ing killing
did not do military press or power clean do to my back feeling like someone was stabbing me.
i think my back problem has come from squatting three times a week.
i will be looking for a new routine. even though i have had good gains on this program i think i can move on to bigger and better things.
since i could not complete other lifts i did arm/tri
preacher curls 3x 5 10 15
alternating DB curls 3x 15 20 25
skull crushers 3x 15 20 25
dips bw x3
got a good arm pump.
******i really need to work on my lower back/core because it is not strong enough to hold the weight on my back********** if you have core exercises im open to suggestion

You might want to think twice about jumping on 5/3/1 after a few weeks on SS. It progresses very, very slowly because it's designed for more advanced lifters.
