- Held at Ohio State's brand new Ohio Union Performance Hall
And now for some pix our new venue. Ohio State is going all out on this building. First, some renderings and then the Performance Hall in progress. The staging and lighting will be state of the art, and will sit 500 plus have enough room for our vendor area in the back of the room.

I'm just a little guy :)
Says the man squatting nearly 400 for 4-5 reps and crushing 225 for 5 reps with 70 lbs of band tension. Not too bad with only a few years of training under your belt

It's roughly the same size with a much better layout. Will seat 150 more, with stage and vendor area within. I can only imagine how loud this room will get with more people and hardwood floors :D
Crowd posedown is limited to the best bodybuilding class in the show. The middleweights will be stacked but you never know.

Rich, this place looks awesome! It will be absolutely fun to put up the banners and get it all set for the raucous crowd that will attend. You are absolutely right! Cannot imagine how loud the room will be with wooden floors. But that will certainly add to the total excitement of the entire event. Count me in as one of your volunteers. It will be an honor! It'll be here before you know it!!!!

What is a "rookie pro-qualifier"?

I'm a different Rich, LOL , I can answer that. If you win pro rookie card you can compete in pro shows the rest of that year. If you don't win any money you can go back down to amateur the next year.

Good answer Rich. That's right ^^^^ Honestly, whoever takes the Men's Overall and Women's Figure Overall Rookie Pro Cards has a very high probability to finish in the money from what I'm seeing in terms of interest. VERY good competition coming!

This spring I'm doing 2 local pro-qualifiers then this fall super's, and hope there are more than 5 in wheelchair class. :) INBF V.P. told me in a e-mail he will grant and wheelchair class to any promotor that asks for it. :) Thats why the April 10th show in WI. (Brenda's show) added the class. I called her and asked for it and her and I e-mailed the V.P. about it. If I have to travel out of state for a Super I will next fall. :)
I would love to do a show in that new hall it looks sweet.

Hey Rich, I would DEFINITELY enjoy hosting such a class, but would really want to do it right if I did so with a number of competitors. I would probably need some more recruiting time to do so. I will definitely follow along in your journey and keep in mind for 2011.

AGREED!! I have about a half dozen interested at this point, but I'd love to see the prospects increase. I have one woman I'm training I'd love to see get back into the game. It's been a while for her, but she has some of the sickest legs I've ever seen. They may even rival yours :D Any ideas in convincing the so-called retired?
I will be sending flyers to the Northern States Supernatural, flyering and promoting at the Arnold and NPC Natural Ohio as well. I'm always open to other suggestions.
Your help and support is much appreciated! I will talk to my partners in the next week to get more particulars on your role in the Buckeye  Congrats again on your 3rd place at the Worlds!!

Hey Amy! Good thing the newest Natural Bodybuilding & Fitness magazine had a nice spread on what the judges are looking for from female figure, fit body and bodybuilding competitors. In short:
JUDGING FIT-BODY:
This competition originated from Europe and Australia and the look is between that of a figure competitor and bodybuilder. The Ms. Fit competitor should be lean, toned and symmetrical, with some definition in the abs, shoulders and basically all around, but not shredded like a bodybuilder. Ultimately we are looking for a feminine look - not over-muscular.
SUITS:
Can be the same as figure competitor
POSES:
Five mandatories: 1) Front open handed double biceps 2) side chest 3) side triceps 4) rear open handed double biceps 5) over-the-head abdominal.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great question Amy, Ms. Fit Body actually does a T-walk at night similar to figure but with the mandatory poses.
Will there be a novice BB class? What are the weight classes for women BB? Thanks!
No, there are just two open divisions of women's bodybuilding. The lightweight class is under 118 and heavyweight class is 118 and over.

Thanks! Brandy is pretty excited. We are glad to be back to cutting (not glad to be back to work) and ready to see what 4 more weeks will do for us. Good job to you too. How was that burger??
