First off I want to thank Fusion Nutrition for giving me the opportunity to test their Creatine product, Purple-K. This is my first official log so bare with me everyone. In this log I will provide 100% honesty and aim to post 4 times weekly with a months supply. I will be monitoring my strength gains, weight gain, endurance and recovery. Today is my day off, so tomorrow I will begin supplementing Purple K!

Why is PURPLE-K the King of Creatine?
PURPLE-K is the King of Creatine because it contains patented
Kre-Alkalyn. Kre-Alkalyn is the only creatine that does not convert
to toxic creatinine before reaching your muscle. Regular creatine degrades by 90%, leaving only 10% usable product. PURPLE-K
prevents this by letting you use 100% of the creatine you take.
This makes PURPLE-K 10 times more effective than regular creatine.

What is creatinine?
Creatinine ('kree-AT-ah-neen') is a toxic waste that is produced when regular creatine hits liquid. Creatinine is so toxic that your kidneys work overtime to protect you from damage. This stress is why people get gut-rot, diarrhea, nausea and bloating. PURPLE-K prevents this by giving you a 100% stable creatine source.

How does PURPLE-K stop the toxic conversion from
creatine to creatinine?
PURPLE-K is buffered creatine. The pH level of PURPLE-K is between
12-14 and this prevents it from breaking down in any liquids - even stomach acids. The exclusive Kre-Alkalyn® pH Controlled Delivery System® makes this possible.

The patent covers all pH levels between 7-14. This forces the pH of all other creatine products to be 6.9 or less; which means they will convert to toxic creatinine.

What are the other advantages to PURPLE?
• Use only milligrams of PURPLE-K compared to the heaping spoonfuls
needed with regular creatine.

• None of the side effects of regular creatine.

• PURPLE-K works from the very first serving giving you immediate
results. No loading phase is required.

• You save money and get better results using as little as 1-3
grams per day.

• PURPLE-K neutralizes lactic acid so you can increase your stamina
and perform at higher levels.

• PURPLE-K will maximize your strength to weight ratio, because
there is no water retention.
Top

How does Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE) compare to PURPLE-K?
Simply, CEE falls short. Here is why: CEE processing involves reacting regular creatine with hydrochloric acid and alcohol. This process does not protect CEE from converting to hazardous creatinine. Also, the alcohol residuals can not be cleaned, making CEE contaminated and unsafe.

How does Tri-Creatine Malate compare to PURPLE-K?
Tri-creatine malate also falls short because it converts to toxic creatinine.

Who can benefit from PURPLE-K?
You can. PURPLE-K is used by millions of bodybuilders to increase muscle mass and is used by athletes who want to excel. Everyone
can use PURPLE-K because it is safe and it works.

Fixing to head out to the weight room, just took 2 capsules. Today will be Biceps/Back. I'm going to go ahead and give Purple K an A for Taste and Mixability. WoW, that was impressive haha! I do like the low amount of capsules needed because of the no loading phase. That gets an A from me as well! Heading out now, be back in about a couple of hours to update! I'm already feeling it, but of course its just my excitement, to experience the gains possible with Fusion Nutrition Products!

Awesome workout Kyle!

I found when I took Purple-K it really started to kick in around Day 5. So watch out for that.

How did you ever hear of Purple-K, if you don't me asking.

I got a hold of a guy that works for the company and I was offered this great opportunity. I don't know if I should mention it due to the fact that others may swamp him with requests and things of that nature! And I guess to accurately answer, I heard of purple k through others reviews and logs and they all seemed to have great success! Never have tried Fusion Nutrition Products until now!

Just got back from biceps and back and I had a terrific workout. The excitement that I was now taking Purple K was a good energy boost. I had a very strong workout today to start off Purple K. About 10 minutes after my workout, I took another two capsules of Purple K as stated on the bottle. As you can see, I changed up my biceps workout from what I earlier posted!

BICEPS AND BACK

Chin Ups = Reps – 3 sets of 5, quick little warm up.
Alternate Dumbbell Curls 20 lbs x 15 for two sets (warm up)

EZ Bar Wide Grip Curls – Weight will be the amount that is on each side, actually unsure of the weight of an EZ Bar, anyone know that?
(35 lbs x 10) = (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 6) = (35 lbs x 8) = (25 lbs x 10)

Alternate Dumbbell Curls (40 lbs x 10) = (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 8)

One Arm Preacher Machine Curls (50lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) Two Arms (80 lbs x 10) = (90lbs x 10) = (100 lbs x 10) = (110 lbs x 6 / 4 forced reps)

Front Cable Pulldowns (60 lbs x 15) = (70 lbs x 15) = (90 lbs x 15) = (100 lbs x 15)

Seated Cable Rows (70 lbs x 15) = (80 lbs x 12) = (90 lbs x 10) = (100 lbs x 10)

Reversed Butterflies (40 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (60 lbs x 10)

One Arm Dumbbell Rows (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (55 lbs x 10) = (60 lbs x 10)

I felt good, I was mentally prepared and had a fantastic workout! I began to feel a small increase in my endurance throughout the later stages of my workout!

Pump = Nothing out of the ordinary

Strength Boost = Too Early to Say

Focus = Very High but it was more of me just looking forward to incorporating Purple K into my routine.

Endurance/Stamina = Decent Increase. I was actually surprised because it was my first dosage, but I did feel great the whole way through and still do. I don't know if I should associated that with Purple K because it is my first day, but we'll see as the week goes on![/b]

Recovery = Of Course Too Early To Tell!

Current Weight = 188 lbs. I’ll be monitoring this because it says no water retention so we’ll see. I’m sticking to a strict diet and completing 20 minutes of cardio before each workout!

Thanks for reading, be back tomorrow with triceps and chest! Woohoo!

DAY 2 TRICEPS AND CHEST

Overhead Dumbbell Extensions 55 lbs. x 10, 65 lbs. x 10, 65 lbs. x 10, 70 lbs. x 10

Rope Pushdowns (I keep it rather low in weight because for me, I can focus more on form and I tend to get a better pump this way) 20 x 15, 20 x 15, 30 x 15, 30 x 15

Straight Bar Pushdowns 60 x 10, 65 x 10, 70 x 10, 75 x 10

Close Grip Bench Press 135 lbs. x 10, 140 lbs. x 10 145 lbs. x 8, 155 lbs. x 6

Dumbbell Incline Press 40 lbs. x 10, 45 lbs. x 10, 55 lbs. x 10, 60 lbs. x 10

Barbell Bench Press 205 lbs. x 10, 225 lbs. x 8, 255 lbs. x 5, 265 lbs. x 2

Dumbbell Decline Press 40 lbs. x 10, 45 lbs. x 10, 50 lbs. x 10, 55 lbs. x 10

Well I had an awful workout today on day two. I felt good, motivated the whole day and looked forward to my workout. I again took two capsules before and after my workout! I don't know what the deal is, but my muscles were fatigued! I couldn't do hardly anything! My weight was a little down on my lifts, and it wasn't because I wasn't focused, I just couldn't do it! It was like I was hitting failure just two sets into each lift basically! I don't believe I've been overtraining and I've been eating plenty! Who knows except that I'm glad that I got an off day tomorrow to recover!

Strength = Decrease, may be getting sick, day off tomorrow to recuperate and recover!

Focus/Drive = Nothing out of the ordinary

Endurance/Stamina = I obviously proved that yesterdays increase was just my excitement because I was dead today. I'm not associating it with Purple K, but it didn't help the matter either because its still too early to get a decent read!

Recovery = Biceps a little sore, back was pretty sore and tight as well! Again, too early to get an accurate read!

Weight - 190 lbs.

Overall - Didn't feel anything with Purple K on only my second day of useage. I have been told though that this is common and I should really look forward to some decent gains withing at least five days of use! Sounds good and looking forward to that!!!

My diet has been in check, especially since I started Purple K, but I don't know why I didn't think of posting that, but it was probably because I was dehydrated. I'm back on track today, of course it being my day off so I'm able to get rehydrated, but that's what it was! I had a hardcore intense workout that first day followed by some strenuous cardio but I probably took in just under a half a gallon of water. Very busy with college and work at the moment so I'm assuming like you mentioned, hydration was the problem! I feel 100% better at the moment, and looking forward to tomorrow's workout!

If you want some numbers in regards to dehyrdation levels. . if your 2% dehydrated you lose 10% of your V02 max. Not sure if that means anything to you, but trust me, thats alot.

I assume you know good ways to measure if your hyrdated or not also.

mudbug45
01-27-2007, 04:48 PM
Yeah I know what your talking about with the numbers. I've actually studied up on that. Majoring in Exercise Physiology, hoping to become a strength and conditioning / football coach! We'll see how that goes though! Anyhow, I'll be working biceps/back tomorrow, basically the same as my last two workouts then I go to legs and shoulders on Tuesdays! I personally prefer doing upper body twice a week. Tried that with my legs in the past and it only seemed to hurt my gains with my legs!

DAY 4 BICEPS / BACK

EZ Bar Wide Grip Curls – Weight will be the amount that is on each side, (35 lbs x 10) = (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 8) = (55 lbs x 5) = (60 lbs x 3)

Alternate Dumbbell Curls (40 lbs x 10) = (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (55 lbs x 6)

One Arm Preacher Machine Curls (50lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) Two Arms (80 lbs x 10) = (90lbs x 10) = (100 lbs x 10) = (110 lbs x 8 / 2 forced reps)

Front Cable Pulldowns (60 lbs x 15) = (70 lbs x 15) = (90 lbs x 15) = (100 lbs x 15) = (120 lbs x 8)

Seated Cable Rows (70 lbs x 15) = (80 lbs x 12) = (90 lbs x 10) = (100 lbs x 10)

Reversed Butterflies (40 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (60 lbs x 10)

One Arm Dumbbell Rows (45 lbs x 10) = (50 lbs x 10) = (65 lbs x 10) = (70 lbs x 10)

After a miseralbe workout day two days ago, I was able to rehydrate yesterday and today I felt great finally! I felt a solid pump a bit quicker than usual. I don't know if that has anything to do with the Purple K, but I was feeling a little extra today!

I did cardio before my workout for 25 minutes on the treadmill alternating walking and running! After that, I was pumped up to be hitting the weights again

Pump - Felt it come on a lot quicker, my muscles feel a lot fuller today an hour later after my workout!

Strength Boost - I definitly am beginning to feel the effects of Purple K now! I was more explosive in my lifts and I did increase my weight a bit on a few lifts. Later in the week, I'm going to move up my weight and check my strength progress officially, but as of right now, Purple K is F*n getting the job done!

Focus - Definitly an increase in focus. I was ready to go, but after I took my first dosage of Purple K, thirty minutes later in the weight room, Nothing else mattered! Pantera was blarring in the background and saliva was flying out my mouth on each lift! Really had it going today haha!

Endurance/Stamina - I really did feel an increase in my endurance. In the past I've had trouble when my workouts began nearing the end, but today I was exploding all the way through!

Recovery - Yesterday was my day off and I was a bit sore from Friday's workout, but it had a lot to do with me not taking in enough liquids!!

My current weight is at 190 lbs. Let me just add that I'm thankful again for this opportunity. I'm beginning to feel the effects of Purple K and I really look forward to the coming weeks and what Purpkle K has to offer!

I was planning to major in exercise physiology. I am slowly changing my mind though. From what I learned from talking to a few people -- it seems alot of my work would be rehabiliting people. I want to do more research.

I am a huge geek, (Gym God can testify to that) so I am wanting to examine the endocrinology, neuroscience or pharmacology in athletes. Not too sure if it is possible or not.

Any how, great detail in the log Arn. All I can say is that the pump on Purple-K is sick for a creatine! I love it :D

Your the gym geek, I'm the gym jock! I love to explode the weight and look to guys like you with research to help me explode even heavier weight! I'll leave all that difficult stuff to you guys lol! The pump is by far the best I've ever experienced "with creatine." I agree! Awesome job!

Another fantastic day for myself and Purple K! I had a great workout with full intensity all the way through!

PUMP - Great, the I've had from a pure creatine! My muscles feel very full!!!

STRENGTH BOOST - I felt a great deal of power today in my workout! Again I was very explosive in all my lifts!

FOCUS - Very solid, I was excited to be pounding away with the weights and continued solid focus the whole way through!

Endurance/Stamina - Another hardcore workout that I easily finished. I had plenty of energy afterwards. I mean don't get me wrong, I was hurting and exhausted but there is definitly a huge difference between now with Purple K and back when I exhausted early when I wasn't on Purple K!

RECOVERY - Very solid recovery, my body felt healed for the first time on the Purple K, I didn't really notice any significant soreness from yesterdays brutal biceps/back blitz! I'm confident that its the Purple K working like it says it would!

I weighed in at around 189 lbs today. I have had ZERO bloating or water retenion, which is always a plus! Very excited about how great this product is turning out to be the past two days! I believe those first three days was it just getting into my system and day four I could begin to feel it, but today I was chugging away at full force in the gym! My triceps looked like I pumped air into them, and I felt like I could hold a pencil between my pecs because they too were pumped up!

DAY 6 LEGS / SHOULDERS

Its now day six into my log with Purple K. Yesterday for triceps and chest, I had one of my best workouts when talking about explosion and endurance. Today was the same way!

Leg Extensions 145 lbs x 15, 145 lbs x 15 (warm up)

Squats 135 lbs x 15, 205 lbs. x 10, 225 lbs x 10, 255 lbs. x 5, 265 lbs x 5, 280 lbs x 4

Leg Curls 115 lbs x 15 for 4 sets

Straight Leg Deadlifts 205 lbs x 10, 225 lbs x 10, 235 lbs x 12

Leg Extensions 175 lbs x 15, 185 lbs x 15, 195 lbs x 12, 205 lbs x 12

Dumbbell Military Presses 35 lbs x 10, 40 lbs x 10, 40 lbs x 10, 45 lbs x 6

Dumbbell Lateral Raises 15 lbs x 15, 20 lbs x 15, 25 lbs x 15, 30 lbs x 15

PUMP - Same as yesterday, another surprising decent pump gained from creatine. Again my muscles feel a lot fuller than normal!

Strength Boost - I Definitly noticed a better explosive mentality, but this was my first workout with legs and shoulders with Purple K so we'll get a better read next week!

Endurance/Stamina - Off the CHAINS! In the past I had a tendency of getting light headed and tiring very quickly with legs but today it was no problem at all.

Recovery - Doing what it says it can do.

Overall I'm very pleased with Purple K.

Creatine I've taken in the past include: Universal Storm, EAS Creatine Mono, and another cheap brand taken back in high school. Purple K is gaining on Storm. I had great results from Universal Storm that was noticed near the end of the product, but in only my 6th day, Purple K is on its heals. I'm very excited with the coming weeks and I have no doubt in my mind that when this log is completed, Purple K will be number one on my creatine products!

Well I worked legs two days ago, yesterday being my day off and I suffered the entire time. I have a sharp pain in the middle to upper back on the left side. When I take deep breathes it hurts. I think it may be from squats??? Anyone got any ideas. Today is biceps and back. I feel better today but I don't know if I"m going to go heavy. I guess it just depends on how I'm feeling when I get to the weight room. What ya'll think? Problem?

Possibly a muscle strain. Take it easy and if it contiues to bother you - go for a check up. The last thing you want is this to be a herniated disc. Pay particular attention to your posture and do not exceed your limits.

DAY 7 BICEPS / BACk

This was my third time around on bi's and back so I got a good read on my progressions! I did very little back however because I have a slight muscle strain in my upper back. Other than that, I had a good workout!

Alt. Dumbbell Curls - 20 x 15 two times (warm up) 40 lbs x 10, 45 lbs x 10, 50 lbs x 10, 55 lbs x 8 (two more reps than last time, no biggy but felt stronger)

Standing Barbell Curls 155 lbs x 10, 175 lbs x 10, 185 lbs x 10

Machine Preacher Curls 80 lbs x 10, 90 lbs x 10, 90 lbs x 10, 100 lbs x 10

Hammer Curls 30 lbs x 10, 35 lbs x 10, 40 lbs x 10, 40 lbs x 10

Seated Dumbbell Concentration Curls 20 lbs x 15, 25 lbs x 10, 30 lbs x 10, 35 lbs x 8

Front Cable Pulldowns 60 lbs x 15, 70 lbs x 15, 80 lbs x 10

Seated Cable Rows 80 lbs x 10, 90 lbs x 10, 70 lbs x 15

Had a good pump throughout. I felt much stronger throughout the workout again being able to finish the entire workout! I noticed a good increase in my endurance. I began experiencing this for the last two workout days especially. Recovery has been improving, but still not where I'd like it to be. Throughout this log I've had great focus and it didn't change today! I'll post some before and after pics here as well if anyone interested. My weight was at 188 lbs before workout and my muscles have been a lot fuller. I'm happy that I haven't retained any noticeable water from the Purple K, which is always a plus when on Creatine. I'm excited to finish and take some pictures to see the physical results because in my own eyes, I feel a bit bigger since adding Purple K to my Supplement regimine!

Today there was not much changing. I had a slight strength increase in a few lifts. Looking forward to uping the Ante next week! I don't really have much to write except that nothing has really changed since last workout.

I must add though that I am having very full pumps, the best BY FAR I've had with a Creatine product! I also would like to say that recovery has now picked up it seems, while I'm increasing slowly the weight, I'm not as sore as in the past! I'm very excited about this part of Purple K finally kicking in!

Does anyone have some info on natural bodybuilders. I'm thinking of competing sometime in the future and would love to just get that feeling of being on stage! Anyone got some info feel free to share. Thanks!

My weight was an astonishing 180 lbs on the scale at the weight room. The one I've been weighing on the entire time I've been doing this log! SOMETHING BETTER BE WRONG WITH THAT SCALE!!! I'll get an accurate read tomorrow!

Can someone provide a link about natural bodybuilders. I'm curious as to what is considered Natural! I don't have a clue about these kind of things or competing but have been thinking about throwing my name in the hat. Any info would be appreciated thanks!

Yo Kyle,

I tried to dig up a link for you. However, I couldn't find anything that provides a clear definition of a bodybuilder. Generally speaking, it isn't a person who used AAS in the past and they sometimes do random testing.

Some people also define a natural bodybuilder as an individual who hasn't used any kind of supplements in the past. This includes protein powders, creatine etc. But, if your planning to compete they are not that "strict"

I will continue to dig around for a link. If I come across something I will post it up.

Something I quickly found before going back to studying. It is not the best def'n, but it offers a nice overview.

As of 2006, there has been more interest in the field of natural bodybuilding. In natural contests bodybuilders are routinely tested for illegal substances and are banned for any violations from future contests. What qualifies as an "illegal" substance, in the sense that it is prohibited by regulatory bodies, varies between natural federations, and does not necessarily include only substances that are illegal under the laws of the relevant jurisdiction.

Hmm, I saw that you said it doesn't like creatine or even whey users, but that quote said "illegal substances but went on to say it could also not allow other "legal" substances basically! Dang, a list would be awesome lol! I'm going to continue searching and see what I find. Thanks though for your efforts and that quote. Did help a bit! Take care bro and I always appreciate your feedback!

When I say creatine and whey users, it's just as an example of a supplement. Most people that I talked too consider people who use creatine and whey a natural bodybuilder. It seems the, I don't know how to say this without sounding harsh, the "extremists" think use of supplements is bad.

Keep in mind also each federation, organzation you do a show under will have a different list of rules and "allowed substances". So, check with your state or province bodybuilding association and they could maybe help you out.

As for a recognized natural bodybuilding show, Muscle Mania comes to mind.

Edit: Hopefully Chris can chime in here. He has more experience in the bodybuilding culture than I have.

I completed bis/back and tris/chest late last night and early this morning. I won't post about it, but instead post thursday and friday's results. Planning on moving up in weight, checking my strength gains.

I would like to add though that I weighed in at 191 lbs both last night and this afternoon. Up a couple of pounds so I'm happy about that... The pump from Purple K is by far the best I've had from a creatine.

Fantasticworkout! Going to be rough getting off Purple K, I don't know how I'm going to maintain the same intensity that I'm having right now! Again I moved up in some lifts! I didn't move up really on biceps but I will next time for sure! I'm recommending Purple K to a lot of my friends, their beginning to notice change as well, especially my strenght increases. Starting to leave em in my dust! Its a great feeling. I have though noticed a bit of water retention in my lower back area, but its nothing significant so I'm not going to make a big deal about it. To be honest, my diet for the most part has been clean, but I've a had a few off days as well so I take full responsibility for that!

PUMP = Best Ever experienced from a Creatine Product!

TASTE = Amazing, slides right down with ease! haha

STRENGTH INCREASE = Noticing now on my 12th workout day the significant gains I'm having and there on every muscle grouo!

FOCUS/DRIVE = Its been solid since the fourth day and has continued throughout!

RECOVERY = Blew my legs to pieces yesterday and I'm sore, but its nothing severe and I'm loving it!

OVERALL THUS FAR: Kick Ass Product by Fusion Nutrition! Loving it, and I want a T-Shirt!!!! lol...

Not sure if you were wondering ot not, but the usual E-Z Curl bar weighs 30 lbs, well at least the Ivanko brand does. It might vary brand per brand. Any how, that is some impressive weight for the curls. Kudos to you, Kyle.

As I told a few other people, for myself, Purple-K has been the best creatine product to provide a pump. :D

Nice, I can hardly wait to see how your 1RM have been influenced with Purple K. How do you like training your tris before chest, Kyle? Do you find your chest strength isnt all there? But hell, doesn't seem like it. That still some serious weight

mudbug45
02-15-2007, 10:41 AM
Actually I've gotten into a habbit of putting tris before chest on here, but its the other way around in the weight room. If I were to work tris before chest, I wouldn't be able to pump 205 lbs on bench probably lol! I knoiw because I've done it before. I use to work tris and back and bis and chest to hit each muscle part with 100% effort but I enjoy chest/tris and back/bi's better!

DAY 17 1 RM ON BENCH AND SQUATS/ BICEPS

I contribute my progress greatly to my new product brought to me by Fusion Nutrition called Purple K. A creatine capsule that delievers great pumps and solid, consistent strength gains.

I was excited all day to be maxing out but I only did squats and bench and I will be testing my deadlift and power clean at the end of this log coming up shortly.

Let me just go straight to the results and quite bull ****ting!

Let me remind everyone that my Previous lifts were completed two weeks before my log began.

Bench - Previously = 290 lbs Today = 305 (I will try at the end of the log again because I didn't feel very well on this after my squats! I KNOW I can get even more but still a great increase for me considering I've been stuck on that plateau for quite sometime)!

Squat - Previously = 375 lbs Today = 400 Felt great and went parallel to the ground! That's a huge number for me, to be able to break the 400 lb barrier, what what a feeling!

Biceps and Back was completed later after my maxes but the weight didn't change much so I won't bother posting details except that I still had the energy and stamina to finish off a solid workout after maxing.

Great work Kyle! Thats killer you gained alot on your 1RM! I always find it funny that we don't AS excited 'bout be able to press/push 390 or 395 for 1RM. But when it comes to a nice even number like 400, it is a WHOLE other dimension.

And same thing guys for plates per side. Any how, I am done rambling. Now go for 405 on the squat :D
