I had a choice to either use Showtime by Scivation or Expel by MHP. I chose expel,..really dried me out nicely!

The only thing I used was sipping on 2L of green tea the day before the show.

How well did this work for you? Are you talking the green tea that you brew or the green tea that comes pre-mixed in a container?

I think you may be refering to perscription grade,..You may want to ask Layne about Scivation Showtime,..I think he is a rep. for that company.
I never took these natural diuretics either until last prep,..these along with a cell absorption diet,..I was full and dry.

Think about what you are trying to do with water. :)

I'm unsure on what to think here. Should you drink lots of water to look leaner and harder? or do diuretics really work? As in taking the water out from under the skin?

The statement in that article that the average adult can only hold 375 to 450 carbs I only somewhat agree with. A fully depleted athlete can hold much more without spilling thats been proven as long as the 3:1 water to carb ratio is monitored. Now if the athlete is reloading on a daily basis then I agree with the 375-450 which if ingested on a daily basis would keep me completely saturated as a depleting athlete (which is what I shoot for in the offseason), guys over 200 lbm though I think it would be higher (but thats not many naturals which the article was targeted so I agree with those numbers). But, dieting athletes dont stay saturated we are ALL depleted as ****, and even moreso the final weeks.
Ive talked to MANY guys who do the 300-350 carbs weds, 200-250 thurs and 150-200 friday with high water and they say they were flat, dry but flat....there words not mine. Stayfit was one such guy on such a peak week plan previously. Now if you go cutting water and adding a diuretic on such a plan it wont work, you will go even FLATTER. Stayfit said he was dry on that old plan but flat, why, not enough carbs, but yes the high water on that plan was diuretic enough, but the full part was missing.
I like to carb harder, watch the 3:1 water to carb ratio and employ a mild natural diuretic like dand root and uva. In this manner I can get much fuller and still dry as ****.
To each his own I suppose.

First statement yes! That simple, you are not going to only pull water from under your skin, but from muscle as well. They work, yes, just not the way you want them to. The whole peaking process is quite the headache, and usually takes som trial an error to get it right. Plenty to moniter the last few weeks as far as fluctuations in appearance goes, this will help you make the right adjustments during that final week.
As to what a great peak looks like. Crisp, full, and without giving up an conitioning.

I just picked up a box of pure natural green tea bags at the grocery store. No tricks!
How well did it work? Check out my pics and you tell me ... I think it worked pretty well but opinions seem to vary. The only thing I feel I could have done better was take in more carbs a little earlier.
