Hey Gabby
Why do you think you're plateauing? Do you mean in terms of your weight loss or your training results? 2 weeks into your regime is a pretty short time to declare a plateau.
Tell us more :)

2 weeks doesnt really seem to be enough time to make a suggestion. As long as you have a real plan, stick with it and give a few more weeks. Besides 40 lbs isnt oing to come off in a week or two, It took me a few months to lose 45 lbs.

A year from now... after you've lost 35 lbs... let's talk about the plateau. After two weeks? Maybe you lost some water weight or bloat suddenly a the start and NOW- you are starting at the real weight and seeing what the real speed of weightloss is for your diet and metabiolism.... that's not a plateau- It's more like you hopped off a curb and now you have to walk across the street- that first drop was not indicative of the road ahead. Don't get discouraged- it takes a long time and to try to do it any faster is a bad idea... keep plugging at it. My first two months working out to lose weight- I saw no change in weight at all.... and then suddenly it came off- I'm VERY glad I didn't give up after a month with "no" results... obviously SOMETHING was happening to my body and metabolism- getting ready to burn up that fat.

I agree with the above post. I have been working hard since Feb and I have only lost 15lbs but i have gone down roughly 6%BF and 4 pant sizes. I feel alot better and according to my hubby i look better. It takes time and alot of work, watching what you eat and determination. This site is great for motivation and advice. Good luck!!!!

You need to be much tougher than that. If you're already discouraged after two weeks, you've got your mind in the wrong place.
Set your sights long-term. If you keep at it you will be successful.

Like everyone is saying, it doesn't happen just like that. It took me really 5 weeks to see much result and change.
So just give it time and keep pushing yourself!
Your goals will come!
