I just had a baby 2 months ago and I still have 10lbs to my pre-pregnancy weight then I wanna lose an additional 20lbs. I just joined my local gym and my bf% is 28.9%, I would like to get to 20%. My current weight is 153, want to be around 125 depending on what I look like. I'm 5'5", 24 yrs old. Please help me with a routine, I'll be going to the gym 3-4 days a week. I want to do weight training and then cardio (I prefer the treadmill over the others). I also prefer to use the machines, I'm lost working out on a mat. I'm sure I could figure something out on my own but I would really appreciate it if someone with a little (a lot) more knowledge than me help me out with a routine. Not sure if there's anything else you need to know. Again, I really appreciate it! Thanks so much!

okay so I wanna do a 4 day split, I was thinking... day 1 - chest/triceps/shoulders/cardio, day 2 - cardio class, day 3 - back/biceps/cardio, day 4 - legs/abs
I was also thinking about 3 exercises per body part, 3 sets of 15, 12, 10??
Still need help, I don't know much about this but I really wanna get in good shape. Anyone have a basic plan?

Sorry mate, I would love to help you, but I don't really know anything about split workouts. I've only ever done full body. I also don't use machines, so I can't suggest a workout for you based on that. I can just give some tips that may or not be of use to you, I hope they are of some use at least though.
I'm no expert or anything, but if you are new to this, you should start with compound exercises and leave the isolations till later on. Compounds will build muscle faster and raise your metabolism faster.
Also, if you've never used kettlebells before, you can use them as cardio and weight training at the same time. I don't know what your stregnth levels are, but the smallest I've seen are 4kg's. You can basically get an entire body workout + cardio thrown in with the use of just a few kettlebells. For shoulders for example you could do the KB clean and press - do 10 on one arm then 10 on the other, then restart the cycle to get as many sets as you want. The whole time, not only would you be weight training your shoulders,
but it's cardio too, because you are consistently cleaning the weight in a swift dynamic movement.
I personally only use KB's for weight training, but I've tried swinging them too and they can seriously make your heart go up as much as if you were running if you choose the right weight kettlebell. Worth a shot. Basically anything you can do with a dumbbell, you can
do with a kettlebell, but being able to swing them makes it easy to add cardio into the mix if you want too. Well that was probably no help at all - but I tried! :)

There are a ton of beginners workouts over on the supersite, just search. Pick one you think you might like, then try it. Often, you'll get many more responses from a "here's what I'm doing, can someone critique" rather than "design my workouts."
If you don't have your diet in check, do a bit of reading on that, too. Diet is the key to reaching your goals, IMO.
