...he was weightlifting and a bar fell on his neck. Potentially very serious stuff and there are reports he is in for surgery. I don't care if you ever play a down of football again, please get well soon Stafon, and my thoughts are with you.

Probably was benching a lot of weight or something, without a spotter..
Seriously though, that just sounds life-threatening.

Damn!! Hopefully he gets well. Would suck to lose another USC trojan in the span of about 3 years.

Apparently not life threatening. But yes, the Trojan losses have been horrible. Mario Danelo, Ryan Francis, Drean Rucker (commit). Very sad stuff.
