What is a carb up day? And when do we do that? How often? Is it safe?Do we use it with a low card diet?

A carb up day is used in carb cycling. Its a diet technique used by more experienced athletes. Based on all your posts, your a beginner, so first and foremost, you need to get on a good and balanced nutrition plan.

my hubby does a very low carb diet that is high protein/high fat during the week and has carb up days at the weekend where he basically eats anything he wants, i think its called the anabolic diet, its supposed to help gain muscle mass, although i dont know how succesful it is in doing so, but one of the side benefits is that it helps sort out some digestive problems which my husband suffers from.

Yeah it's not something I'd even think about. I've always eaten healthy, but never got into carb cycling or refeeds until I started competing. There was never a reason to.
