Any reports on Barber or Welker's injuries?

I saw Barber was hurt towards the end of the game tonight and welker obviously didn't play today vs the Jets....

Any reports on either?

I have barber on my team cuz hes a points beast and my friend will trade me welker for hightower because he needs another RB..

i'm thinking they'll both play next week. barber got right up after he fell maybe he just spasmed out real quick. i was like nooo get that TD so i can get more fantasy points haha

Receiving welker for hightower would be an amazing trade. Barber looked like he strained/pulled his quad...it would be worthwhile to check out Tashard Choice as they move towards a 50/50 split between F. Jones and T. Choice

On ESPN the speculation is it's nothing serious, at most he might miss a few practices but who knows. I have Barber too, he won it for me last night.

Welker participated in pre game warm ups and could have played is what i read. Also, Dallas says that Barbers injury does not appear to be serious. Either way Felix Jones will probably get more reps in.

Tashard Choice should start in the MB3 role with Felix(who has a slight quad injury) filling his usual role. Pick up Choice.

Felix will carry his normal role. He is a guy that gets dinged early and the Cowboys like the physical back for most of the game. Choice plays the same role as Barber.

this is what I was reading at first as well. almost as if Choice is the true #2 (though depth charts read differently). I grabbed Choice off the wire and while I like him, I'll have to weigh other options as well.

Barber not ruling himself out: Marion Barber told the Cowboys' official Web site that he's not ruling himself out for Week 3 vs. the Panthers. The Web site added that Barber isn't expected to practice Wednesday. Previously, KXAS-TV in Dallas reported that Barber would miss at least one game with the quadriceps injury he suffered late in his Week 2 game vs. the Giants, and ESPN had a team source tell them that Barber was "50-50" to play in the upcoming contest. Barber is debunking all of those reports with what he said on Wednesday. "I'm good ... I'm good today," Barber said. "If I'm good today, I'll be good tomorrow and I'll be good for Monday."

just watch fantasy football live on sunday morning on yahoo and they will update you..just have a for sure plan on what you're gonna do if he plays/doesn't play..i'm kinda in the same situation with westbrook

yeah, I watch that every Sunday actually. I love that show. unfortunately its a Monday night game. I have Choice, but may just go a whole other route altogether.

watch it anyways because they will update his status. I have Felix Jones but have him on the bench right now because I also have westbrook and l. mccoy. Just gotta do the research. I personally don't think Barber is gonna start considering that I think the jones/choice combo will do very well against carolina. although jones' role will go up, i also think that choice will get the majority of carries because jones is like glass and if he plays too much he will get hurt

BY THE WAY, Marion Barber is my home boy. I grew up across the street from his family. His bro(Dominique safety for Texans) was a childhood friend of mine. We all used to play football in their front yard and Marion was all time QB cuz he was sick.

I don't know where you heard that because Welker was limited in practice and seen doing light jogging per Yahoo Sports. If he doesn't practice in full today than he will be a gametime decision because we all know the Patriots won't saying anything sooner about his status.

Stephania, any more word of Welker? He has been a limited participant in practice all year, looked great week 1 and scratched late week 2. Knowing the Patriots disclose the bare minimum on injury info, what is your educated guess on whether this is a muscular or bone problem and whether he will be questionable all year?

Mike: This could be called the frustrating injury of the week. I watched Welker warm up before the Monday night game and saw nothing that would hint at a problem (of course you can't see minor things without physically examining the knee)- -but from a functional standpoint, there was nothing there. And he had a great game. No hint of a problem during or immediately afterward. My guess - emphasize guess - is that it is a joint issue - and that post-Week 1 he had some swelling. Any joint swelling tells you you need to back off, and it also prevents the muscles from operating at full strength, so it could set you up for more injury if you press through. After a week of rest, and them keeping his workload light, he has likely improved from that setback and the vibe seems to be that he'll play this week. But it is the Pats - need to check SUnday (and see if he does any more today)>

Mike: I absolutely would. Reason? I think that even if Barber does make a go of it - and despite the positive signs, I'm still not convinced that he does, I think Jones gets way more work. In the end I think it will be Jones and Choice. Who knows? The Cowboys could make Barber active, then limit his work and be a little tricky. But I think the most likely is they let him continue to work towards the goal of Monday (and who doesn't want to play Monday night?) but he ends up resting.

Get you a subscription site like thehuddle.com. Yahoo is okay, but their injury updates are old and plain.
